"Agh, I'm not even 30 yet! How come I'm turning into an old man already?" he exclaimed in agitation, ruffling his hair rapidly.
Dan Feng glanced at him over his book, and scoffed quietly at the sight of the mess his friend made on his head.
"Would you stop complaining, idiot? You really start to sound like an old man too."
Yingxing only groaned in response, hiding his eyes in one hand.
He couldn't see the way the dragonkin kept observing him, wanting to smooth out the dishevelled hair. Even his hand, holding the open book, budged, as if he tried to reach out.
Dan Feng lowered his head at once, and scoffed again, but this time, the one he mocked was himself.

In celebration of HSR version 3.6 and Yingxing's first appearance in-game (I haven't started the quest yet, but I got spoiled and it made me way too excited) let me share the Yingfeng story I've been writing since May 2024 - and may Aeon of Fanfiction bless me with resilience to push this story forward and complete all the started scenes, because there is a lot of them, yet sometimes I'm so overwhelmed I can only stare at Yingfeng fanart and daydream instead of writing.
