Harry woke up on the thirty first of July, 1991 much the same way he had the previous year. What was new, however, was a voice in his head, telling him happy birthday.
Thanks, Gin.
You're welcome, Harry. Gotta make sure my best friend has a good birthday after all, right?
Oh, I'm your best friend now? What about Tracey? Thought she was your best friend?
She will be my best friend for 364 days a year. Poor you deserves it once in a while.
Prat.
Git.
Just then, the door burst open, with a blond blur throwing herself onto Harry. "Happy birthday! Your Hogwarts letter is going to come today, how are you feeling about that?"
"Amazing, but yours will come tomorrow so don't get too sad, alright?"
Over the past year, Harry, Tracey, and Ginny had spent almost every day together. They trained with both their normal wands and their battle wands. Although their knowledge of spells were quite limited, they could still do some damage if they wanted to, mostly because of the sheer power the bond gave to Harry and Ginny, though Tracey was no slouch either. All of them were extremely fast learners, and were very adept at Defence Against the Dark Arts. The speed at which they learned the spells shocked the adults. Since they had gotten their wands, they sometimes could learn three or four new first year spells, every single day. They went through the entire Hogwarts first year curriculum, other than the theory components, in just three months. They finished the Second year curriculum in five months, and were already halfway through the third year curriculum. And they were all the way in fourth year Defence Against the Dark Arts.
It was planned so that the three should have been undergoing Animagus training the previous year, but after finding out that Animagus training could not take place with magical cores so underdeveloped, it was decided that they would start training this year, in fact, the potion was due to be ready the day after Tracey's birthday.
The three functioned as a team, doing things together without looking at each other, instinctively knowing when the others are at their back or if they need help. It was this teamwork that finally allowed them to beat their trainer, and Harry and Tracey's father, Samuel in a duel the previous week.
Of course, it was with three to one odds, but it was still very impressive, given that he was a senior Auror and they were not even in Hogwarts yet.
And of course, the fact that Samuel was using his battle wand while the children were using their normal wands.
One time a couple of months ago, Samuel took things up a notch. He asked Arthur Weasley, Bill Weasley, and some of the curse breakers on Bill's Horcrux team to come over to Davis Manor to have a mock duel against Harry, Ginny, and Tracey.
And they somehow, against all odds, lost.
Harry, Ginny, and Tracey, armed with their battle wands, simple wiped the floor with them. Harry and Ginny traded shielding and offensive spells, using their bond to communicate when on different parts of the battlefield, and using their increase magical power to maintain a shield that no one could break through while Tracey shot spells, picking the opposing team apart member by member.
The three of them defeated seven fully trained adult witches and wizards, many of them being senior curse breakers and aurors, in just five minutes.
After then, they were restricted to using their normal wands in a duel, as there was no way to defeat them when they had their battle wands.
As the year progressed, the three of them grew closer. Now, all of them could tell what the other was thinking just by a single look, and had a sixth sense for the presence of each other. Meanwhile, Harry and Tracey got to meet Ginny's brothers, Ron, Fred, and George. In fact, they even met Bill and Charlie when they all came over to Davis Manor for Christmas Day feast. And Harry and Tracey were delighted by their Weasley sweaters. Meanwhile, Ginny also met Daphne and Astoria. Although she and her family were first cool with them, they soon became good friends. After all, although they belonged to a Slytherin family, they were after all, just kids, wanting to play together. And now, the Greengrass and Weasley families had new ideas about the division between Hogwarts Houses.
As the time for breakfast approached, the siblings made their way downstairs. Both of them could not wait for their friends to come over. Before they finished their breakfast, the Greengrass sisters came over, quickly followed by the Weasleys. Just as they finished their breakfast, Theo and Blaise came over.
And then the explosion happened.
Theo and Blaise were not used to being around the Weasleys, and didn’t like the fact that they were surrounded by Gryffindors. However, it was the elder Thaddeus Nott who caused most of the trouble, as they demanded the ‘blood traitors’ to leave the grounds of the Noble and Ancient House of Davis. He further went on to mock them for not having money, hitting a lot of sore spots all around. Harry and Tracey vehemently defended the Weasley, and the Notts left in a huff.
The rest of the day went on without a hitch, however. The trio of Harry Ginny and Tracey, along with Daphne and Astoria, completely decimated the team of Fred, George, Ron, Bill, and Charlie. The dynamic of Ginny, Tracey and Astoria as chasers wreaked havoc on the opposing chasing team of Bill, Ron and Fred. Daphne did her best to keep Bludgers away but was completely outmatched by George, while Harry’s brand new Nimbus 2000 that he just got combined with his smaller stature completely destroyed Charlie on a Cleansweep Five.
After lunch, the large group went to an amusement park, and spent the afternoon riding the rides and failing to win anything at the games. Overall, it was an amazing day.
That night, Ginny and the Greengrass sisters stayed over. With Ginny staying over so often now, they had magically expanded their four room suite to five rooms, giving Ginny a room. And of course, the five of them had amazing fun, playing games like Exploding Snap late into the night. It was only when Samuel came over at two in the morning asking them to go to bed did they finally stop the game.
The next morning, Tracey was a ball of energy. For some magical reason Harry could not comprehend, Ginny was somehow her usual ball of energy despite sleeping only five hours. As the two of them went around waking up everyone in the house, Harry and the two Greengrass siblings acted like a trio of zombies, dragging their tired bodies downstairs for a spot of breakfast. As the two chatted animatedly throughout breakfast about what their plans were going to be, an owl arrived.
Inside it was Theodore Nott’s Journal.
And with that, Tracey broke down on Harry’s shoulder. She could not believe that one of her oldest friends had decided to end his friendship with her over something as simple as being friends with someone from another House from Hogwarts. But still, here was the one thing that allowed them to keep in touch and to be friends even though they could not see each other every day, and he had given it up, breaking her heart. Harry knew that Tracey harboured a massive crush on Theo, and knowing the he brok his sister’s heart, vowed to set him right when he next saw him.
Having one of her oldest friendships broken almost ruined her birthday. But by a herculean effort on the part of Harry and her parents, they drowned her in so many activities she was able to start to forget about it by lunchtime. The afternoon was filled with exploding snap, gobstones, and other games, and of course, some Quidditch. But that night, after singing the birthday song and unwrapping the gifts, she broke down again upon not receiving a gift from Theo.
And so the party ended, with everyone giving sad looks at the birthday girl, who had lost her second oldest friend.

The next morning, Harry and Ginny awoke at their usual time, before heading down for breakfast. They decided to let Tracey sleep in as she had cried herself to sleep the previous night, and had spent the vast majority of the previous two days awake, leaving her exhausted. Meanwhile, Ginny wanted to get to the Animagus Revealing Potion, which was what she had stayed at Davis Manor for, but decided to wait. It would hurt Tracey even more to know that they had went on with drinking the potion without her.
It was almost noon by the time Tracey woke up. Padding softly down the stairs, she saw the Animagus Revealing Potion simmering in a cauldron in the middle of the living room, with her parents on one side listening to the wireless, and Harry and Ginny on the other side of the room playing Wizard’s Chess.
“Hey, Trace, how are you?” Harry asked softly.
“Better, but it still hurts. I can’t believe he would do something like this!” Tracey had tears in her eyes again, leading Harry to stand up and walk over to embrace her in a hug.
“We can ask him if he has any excuse when we reach Hogwarts. It probably would not matter, but remember, there might, just might, be a chance that he did not want to do this.”
At that, Tracey brightened up a bit. “His father absolutely hated that we interacted with the Weasleys! It could be him!”
“There’s the spirit. Now, come on, let’s get some lunch, and drink this potion. I honestly can’t wait!”
At the mention of finding out her Animagus form, Tracey brightened up considerably. Following in Harry and Ginny’s footsteps, they headed in the direction of the dining room for lunch.
After lunch, Harry, Ginny and Tracey gathered in their suite with a vial of the potion each. Knowing that the potion would cause them to go to sleep for a couple of hours, they chose a sofa each to lie down on. Trading a few looks, they synchronously drank the potion, before lying down sideways on the sofa.

Tracey awoke in the lawn in front of Davis Manor. Looking around, she saw her form looking back at her, a massive lion, with striking blue eyes. But then, she saw another animal walk over, a light brown coloured cat. She was confused. A person could only have one form, couldn’t they? But before she could reason out the weird occurrence, she fainted.
Tracey opened her eyes. She was in her sofa in their suite in Davis Manor. Looking at the clock, two hours had passed. She looked around, and saw Harry and Ginny both still in their visions. Seeing that, she took out an interesting Muggle novel she had been sent by the Weasleys for her birthday and settled down to wait, thinking they would come out of their vision in just a few more minutes, at most an hour. However, dinnertime arrived and they were still in their vision. Not knowing what else to do, she went downstairs to consult her father.
“Dad, does the Animagus Revealing Potion book say anything about the effects of the potion?”
“Yes, sweetheart, as you know. It causes the drinker to fall into a stupor for between one and three hours, and will definitely end before three hours is up. Why are you asking?”
“Well, it has been six hours, and Harry and Ginny are still in their vision. I don’t know what to do! Did something go wrong?”
Samuel stood up immediately, and walked upstairs. He looked in the suite, and saw the two of them still lying down. Just as he was about to go and try to wake them up, they both stirred.

Harry woke up in his vision. He was in the Quidditch pitch at Davis Manor. However, as he was looking around for his animal, his eyes instead fell on a small redheaded witch.
Ginny? What are you doing in my vision?
Hearing the message, Ginny turned around. She was looking around for her animal, but was startled, since there was no way he could be in her vision. But then, there he was, standing there, eyes wide in shock.
I don’t really know, maybe it is the bond? After all, one of the powers is shared Magical Animagi and another is shared Animagi forms.
That’s reasonable, but where are they? How come we can’t see anything?
Well, if this is indeed a result of the bond, then we know that it is much stronger when we are touching. Maybe we have to be holding hands in order for our forms to reveal themselves?
Sounds as good a theory as any. Let’s try it.
The moment their hands touched, two animals walked over. A beautiful, pure white stag, and a snowy white doe. There was no question which form was for who.
Right in front of them, the scene changed. They were now at the lake near the Burrow, where they had gone to swim countless times. Inside, they could see two figures swimming around, a Merman and a Mermaid.
And then, a phoenix cry was heard from overhead. A black coloured phoenix with wings of gold with red tips and green eyes, and a red phoenix with golden tipped wings and brown eyes.
Their shock apparently had not ended. First, a massive dragon’s hind legs appeared in Harry’s direction, while a dragon’s wings and head appeared on Ginny’s side, merging together to form a massive jet black dragon, with red wings and green eyes. And with Ginny’s many trips to Romania to see dragons, they knew that this was a Hungarian Horntail, one of the mightiest dragons of all.
Three forms each! That is… insane! And I think the dragon is a shared form?
Maybe… This is crazy!
Just then, both of them lost consciousness.

“They’re waking up!” Samuel’s shout was the first thing Harry and Ginny heard as they work up. Opening their eyes, they saw a frantic Tracey with Samuel in the room.
“What happened? Dad, why are you here? I thought that we were supposed to discuss our forms with each other before finding you later?”
“Well, son, you might want to look at the clock. It is right about dinner time! You two have been in your vision for hours! I bet something weird happened, right?”
“Yeah, something weird did happen. Is it alright if we discuss it with Tracey first though?” Ginny asked. Samuel merely laughed before leaving the room, closing the door behind him.
“So? What form did you have? Spill it, sis, you’re something lame aren’t you?” Harry ribbed his sister gently.
“I had two forms! Two! I didn’t know that it was possible!”
“No way! Tell us, right now!”
“I got a lion and a cat, the lion had beautiful blue eyes just like mine, and the cat was light brown in colour. What about you? What did you get?”
“We… We shared the vision. We got the same forms. And we got four!”
“No way! Describe it!”
“We got a white stag and doe, stag for me and doe for her, then there were two merpeople, merman with green tail and mermaid with red tail.” Harry started.
“There were also two phoenixes, a black one with green eyes, red wings, and the tips were gold, and a red phoenix with brown eyes and gold tipped wings.” Ginny continued.
“And we had a shared form, a massive jet black Hungarian Horntail dragon! It’s wings are red like and the eyes are emerald green, like mine.” Harry finished.
Tracey could only stare at them in shock. Not only did they have many forms, three of them were magical forms!
“Wow, that was exciting! Well, we should discuss this more later, but for now, let’s get downstairs for dinner. I am starving.” Ginny as usual was hungry.
“Of course you are.” Harry and Tracey chorused, a bright green on their faces. They shared some glances between them, knowing that they were definitely discussing this later.
