Chapter Text
The first thing that comes to mind when you slowly gain consciousness is the fact you died. It was such a lame death too, robbery? Really? You walked into your kitchen to get some water and the next thing you know you're at gun point. He doesn't even demand anything, just shoots. He even missed multiple times and had to literally pin you down to finally finish you! You expected to die by the hands of yourself or your parents, not by an incompetent robber!
Although death isn't really a good feeling, it's so cold but you can feel yourself slowly warming up. You can also feel the phantom pain of the bullet going through your head and abdomen, you decide to ignore that concerning fact.
You groan and peel yourself off the sidewalk, squinting at the bright ball of fire in the sky. Why are you staring at it? Stop, that's stupid and how you go blind. You groggily rub your eyes and look around, this doesn't look like hell nor heaven, it seems like a city street. You expected death to be darkness so you find yourself surprised that you're not in a void or being sent to hell, you're just on a sidewalk, sitting there while people walk around you in confusion.
"Excuse me, are you alright?" Someone asks you, kneeling down to your height. You were relatively short compared to most people so they had to bend down quite a bit. You blink and stare at them, you're still highly disoriented and your mind is trying to process what they said, once it does you finally respond.
"Yes, uhm, I just fell over and I'm a little bit confused..." You say with your usual fake smile, you don't have the energy to be happy but you know you need some direction and you don't want to scare off the only person who was kind enough to stop and check on you. They reach a hand out and help you up, which makes you even more dizzy.
"Say... Would you mind telling me where I am?" The person looks briefly concerned but answers your question.
"You're in Megapolis," He tells you the street as well but you zone out the second he says that name.
Megapolis?
From Lego Monkie Kid?
Did you just get Isekai'd?!
You frantically look around and spot a familiar noodle shop, the name is in Mandarin but somehow you're able to read it despite never learning a different language. He grabs your shoulder and you almost flinch.
"S-Sorry. I'll be fine, I'm just trying to gain my sense of direction back." They look at you with skepticism and worry.
"Shouldn't you go to the hospital? Or at least back home?" You smile and hope it looks comforting to the person.
"I'll be heading home straight away, don't worry." You walk off until the individual is out of sight and you can take a U-Turn straight into Pigsy's Noodles. You want a feel at what the plot is currently at and to do that, you've gotta spy like a creep. Maybe eavesdrop is a better word? You don't plan on hiding in bushes and watching them, just listening in and figuring it out from the lack of context you may have.
The first thing you spot are two of the main character's sitting at the counter, those characters where Tang and Mk, and judging from the book in Tang's hand and the movements of the boy in yellow, this is the start of the episode 'A Hero Is Born'.
How convenient? Maybe you can add yourself to the story? That would be fun and less boring than being a background character, but how would you introduce yourself without sounding like a psychopath? You know there's a high chance you may do a stupid and spill beans about the future...
Wait...
Your mind sorts through the many fan-fictions of this exact situation.
You should be a seer!
That way you wouldn't have to hide the knowledge you know and help out the main characters! Well actually, you are going to by hiding stuff, like the Lady Bone Demon, and literally the entire plot of season 5.
Just for the drama.
Ah chaos, how you absolutely thrive on it. Maybe you should be dwelling more on the fact that you died and not making plans on how to mess around with the main characters....
NAH.
That's boring. You're going to go head to the docks and find Sandy's boat so you can wait for the gang there, at least you would until Pigsy randomly speaks to you. You honestly forgot this was a Noodle Shop and normal people come here to get food and not stare at the wall while sitting at a booth. Technically these are tables but you choose not to correct yourself.
"Welcome to Pigsy's Noodles! Home of the longest noodle! I haven't seen you around so you must be new, would you like a menu?" You stare at him and quickly realized a vital and important fact.
You have no money, you don't even know what currency they use in China.
Welp, time to manipulate your way out of this, like your parents manipulated you into thinking you're a mistake! Apathetic mindset aside for now, you say the first thing on your tornado filled mind.
"Sorry, I forgot my wallet at home, I just came on by to see the menu before I decide to buy anything." You lie, and then another problem rises in the back of your mind, you have no place to stay, or any way of getting food. Welp... thievery it is! Maybe there'll be some scraps in a dumpster behind a grocery store?
"Oh that's perfectly fine, I look forward to gaining another customer!" The pig demon says before returning back behind the counter and immediately chucking a wooden spoon at Mk's head.
You know what happens here and you tune out most of the dialogue as you plan on what to do. Mk has most likely already seen you so the plan on heading to the docks is not really entertained in your mind any longer, if he sees you there he's gonna start asking questions and you HATE answering things. You would love to join Mk on his way to get his staff but you don't think he'll be all too comfortable riding with a complete stranger.
You start getting stressed, your current goal is to introduce yourself to the story right away because you're too impatient to wait a few episodes, but heading to Pigsy's Noodles has made that task a little bit difficult. You sigh and look through your choices, on one hand, going to the docks and meeting the gang there would have a better outcome than riding with Mk, who currently doesn't know you. On the other, you have no alternative ideas so you just shut up your mind and decide to go to the docks.
You watch Mk leave for his delivery to the mountain that is sealing DBK, you wonder if that's where the GPS told him to go or if he just took a wrong turn. You get up and wave goodbye to the chef before beginning your way to the docks.
You quickly realize you have no idea where that is, so despite your dislike for human interactions, you ask for directions. You're pointed the right way and you catch sight of the boat Sandy lives in. Really, you couldn't miss it, the thing is huge and blue. It takes you a while to get there and you hope that you're not too late. You briefly wonder how you're going to gain entry, then you remember that the dude has a bunch of therapy cats, but you don't know if he's considered a therapist.
Worth a shot, you just really hope this won't be awkward, you HATE awkward situations. You look up at the looming ship and swiftly decide that you are not even going to attempt making your way up there without assistance, so you call out for the blue giant, who expeditiously answers your call.
"Hello! Do you need anything?" Sandy asks, looking down at you from the railing of the ship.
"I was wondering if you're the one with all the therapy cats?" You respond.
"Yes! That would be me!"
"Well I just went through something incredibly traumatizing and I'm in need of something calming, would you perhaps-" You don't even have to finish you sentence before the Water Spirit is helping you onto the ship and gushing over you.
You soon find yourself wrapped in a heated blanket with a BUNCH of adorable cats surrounding you. Is this heaven? You doubt it, you haven't done anything that would get you into it after all.
"What's your name?" He asks, a bright smile over his face. You say your name and he reaches out a hand to shake yours, well, more like shake your arm. The dudes hand is huge!
"Would you like to talk about what happened? I find it relieving when I speak about my problems to someone." You momentarily think about telling him all of your problems but you refrain, while he is trustworthy, you don't feel like you should do such a thing quite yet. He just met you after all. So you choose to lie your way through this situation.
"Well I was heading to my job," You think through your memories of the collection of fan-fictions you've read so you can find an excuse. "and suddenly everything went black, I woke up on the streets and I was horribly lost. This isn't my city, this isn't even my country..." You try to act like this is bothering you more than it really is, yeah you're a tad bit scared, well that may be an understatement but still, you don't really feel much anymore.
Wow that's kind of depressing? You ignore that thought and tune back into the conversation.
"Oh I'm so sorry... Do you remember anything before that? Like what happened before everything went black?" You shake your head and watch as he fills a cup of tea before passing it towards you.
"No, nothing at all. Maybe a rag over my face but I don't even know if that's what that was," you sigh while secretly getting an idea. "I should've seen this coming as well..." You say as you subtly set up the seer reveal, you take a sip of the tea and immediately the phantom pain from your eye and torso is numbed, holy... Magic tea! Witch craft! You'll take his whole stock.
"No one can see something like that coming, don't blame yourself." The words of affirmation from Sandy makes you feel warm, despite the lingering cold covering your body. Yikes, you really hope the Lady Bone Demon wasn't the one to bring you into this world, that'd be absolutely horrible. You'd rather die again than be one of LBD's pawns.
"The thing is... I'm a seer, Sandy." You reveal.
Sandy opens his mouth to continue speaking but is interrupted by a knock on the vessel door. How did they even get on the damn ship? Well they are taller than you, you're basically the height of a child. Probably. Most likely.
He opens the door and the gang funnels in, you watch as the gag of Sandy being scary but isn't, go on while you simply enjoy your tea. Once it ends, you guys are heading to Flower Fruit Mountain, and that's when Pigsy decides to ask about you.
"I don't mean to be invasive but what are you doing here?" He asks. You open your mouth to answer but Sandy beats you to it.
"OH! Munchkin over here is lost and I was going to offer him some help to find a place to stay until they get their situation handled, but this situation came along so... Sorry..!" Sandy says and apologizes to you, you don't take any offense and simply nod to what he said. You miss the concerned look on Pigsy's face and the worried looks of the rest of the gang.
Then your brain registers the nickname he gave you. Munchkin? Really?! Although it did draw a brief laugh out of you.
Mei joins you on the couch, her signature smile on her face. She looks a lot different in human form now that you think about it, maybe you're just used to the animation and that's why they look off.
"Soooo, what's your name?" You state your name and she brightens even more, how much can one human smile??? Then you realize she's the descendant of a dragon and may not actually be a human.
"Nice to meet you Mei-" You immediately regret your words and wish you could reverse time. Her eyes briefly widen and she looks at you in surprise.
Stop staring.
Apparently you must've said her name loud enough that the rest of the gang heard and now all eyes are on you.
Stop staring..
Your skin itches, there's too much attention on you, you're not used to this. Your parents rarely even looked you, now you have multiple suspicious eyes Staring at you. You clamp up and suddenly you can't speak, what the hell is happening?
As if Sandy sensed your stressed, he placed a hand on your shoulder, temporarily grabbing your attention.
"Sorry, forgot to mention, she's a seer!" He says cheerfully, brightening up the tense atmosphere by his presence alone. The eyes fall on Sandy instead of you and now you're able to breathe. Their expressions shift from weary to in awe.
"A seer?! Wow, I've never met a seer in Megapolis before! Well, I've actually never met a seer at all..." Mk pipes up from where he was drinking some tea. You look over at him and he's smiling towards you, obviously excited to meet someone special.
"A seer? What are you doing in Megapolis then?" Tang asked from where he was sitting, curiosity in his eyes.
"Well, I was walking to my job and suddenly everything went black, there's a high chance I was kidnapped and lost here." You shrug, no longer really phased by this situation. While this was still scary for you, the fact you're in your favorite show does make this better. Also you might be in shock.
Although, you do wonder how you're here but you don't want to think about that right now. You're not fully convinced that this is not a dream so for now, you're gonna take advantage and enjoy this possible hallucination.
"Do you have a place to stay? Any relatives?" Pigsy asked you, and you missed the worry in his tone. You shake your head, you're debating the choice to sleep under a bridge at this point, it's not like you have any other options anyways.
Pigsy and Tang share a look, so do Mei and Mk. They're adopting you, aren't they? You are the height of a child after all.
Well, you are 18 so you're pretty young compared to them, you're barely old enough to even get an apartment... Curse genetics for making you look 13!
"Anyways, why are you heading to Flower Fruit Mountain?" You ask despite knowing exactly why, you just want to change the subject at this point.
"We're gonna give the Monkey King his staff back!!!" Mk excitedly yelled while he pulled out the red and gold staff, getting all up in your personal space. You slightly back away because you're still not used to contact, let alone close proximity.
"Really? You wouldn't mind if I tagged along, right?" You inquire and watch as the boy brightened up at the idea of an All-Seeing Seer accompanying him on his little journey. Well, it won't be little soon enough.
Both Mei and Mk flanked your sides and began to chat with you, you didn't follow in the conversation and mostly zoned out, simply nodding when you were addressed. They were a bit too close and you were getting slightly nervous, you would ask them to back up but you'd rather not say anything right now.
By the time you zoned back in, the Chaos Duo was heading out to test out Mk's staff, you were also dragged along. You ended up sat beside Mei as you watched the boy twirl his staff-
Move left.
You don't know what, you don't know how, but almost on instinct, you scooch yourself left.
The staff smashes into the wall where your head once was. Yikes, you almost got the warrior treatment! Okay that's a tad bit insensitive to Macaque.
"Oh my great sage, I'm so sorry Funsize!!!" You snap your head towards him in offense. What did he just call you?!
Funsize?!
You're going to bite him, you're called an ankle-biter anyways, might as well live up to the name. You shrug and pretend that your heart isn't pounding in your chest after that near-death experience number two.
He begins fussing over you and apologizing profusely, you wave him off despite his concerns and drift your attention to the Flaming Mountains that just came into view. The others follow your gaze and also spot the hellscape that surrounds Flower Fruit Mountain. Shouldn't something happen before-
Grab onto something.
Your body moves before you can ever process the words that were practically whispered into your ear. You hold on for dear life but briefly catch a glimpse of the shipping crate plummeting into the open sea.
"Welcome to the Flaming Mountains gang! A volcanic ring surrounds the mountain making it virtually impassible! This path is the only safe way through. That's as close as the boat can get! Just be careful." Sandy happily states and you watch as the group disembarked from the ship. You were tempted to follow them but quickly remember you're mortal.
At least you think so, you don't know what happens if you die again, you don't even know if you're human right now. You feel different anyways.
You look over to Tang, who also did not accompany the group. He looks back at you and smiles warmly, you feel warm inside at the unexpected affection.
"So... You don't have a place to stay, right kid?" Pigsy asks from where he seemingly appeared from behind you.
"Huh? Oh yeah. It's fine though, I'll find something." You say and look back towards the firey landscape that you would not even dare walk on. You can still feel the phantom pains from the damn gun shot wounds and you hate it, burns would make it ten times worse.
"Sandy told us that you might not be from this country, is that true?" Tang interrupts your thoughts and you turn to look at him in surprise, that quickly shifts back to your usual stoic expression.
"Yeah, no idea where I am but it seems nice." You respond, it is the truth anyways. Your city sucked, too many murderers and psychos over there. Tang hums in thought, before pulling out a book from thin air, or more like his coat. How'd he store that thing in there? You looked closer and realized its a copy of the Journey to the West.
"Have you heard of the Journey to the West?" He asked, excitement sparkling in his eyes. He's going to info-dump on you, no doubt.
"I've heard of it but I've never gotten the chance to read it." Which is true, you don't have enough money to buy a copy, let alone motivation to read the entire thing. You watch as the man brightens up at the idea of another person to share the stories of the Journey to the West to.
You just hope that you just have to listen and not talk if he does start info-dumping. He opens to book like he's about to start ranting but you quickly cut him off when you spot the group of three- now turned two, return.
"M-Mk's gone! He's gone..." The green girl cried out as the pig demon sobbed silently, leaning against the railing of the ship while Sandy went to go comfort him. You now have no idea what to do because you don't understand emotions as it is. Maybe offer a hug? But you don't like physical contact. You just stand there awkwardly and now tense.
"He can't be gone..." The pig said from where he was leaned against the railing.
"I'm sorry, Pigsy." The river spirit comforted, placing a large hand on the pig's shoulder.
"There's nothing we could do..." Pigsy glanced over his shoulder at the tall brunette. His hands were behind his back his head was lowered, revealing his solemn expression. Wow, this was very dramatic... Maybe you should tell them he's not dead? Nah.
"Nothing? Nothing?! I could have done SOMETHING! I-I should have done something to protect Mk..." The humanoid hog stormed over to the towering hazel haired man, grabbing him by his scarf and dragging him down to his height, before falling to his knees in anguish.
"It's not fair..."
"It's not over, we can't help Mk... but we can make sure no more lives are lost. Make sure his sacrifice wasn't in vain..." You look over at Mei and find her looking at you. Does she expect you to say something? Comfort her? Or tell her Mk is alive? You just stare back. She walks over to you with tears welling in her eyes, she grabs your shoulders a little bit desperately.
"Y-you're a seer, please tell me he's alright..!" You clamp up, this was a delicate situation. You have two options, tell her yes or say you don't know. The first option might change the course of the plot, and the second option isn't morally right.
You gulp and quickly make your choice.
"He isn't dead, he's on Flower Fruit Mountain just waking up." Relief fills her eyes as she lets out a sigh, she moves to tell the others but you stop her.
"He'll meet us back at Megapolis, we should start heading now, we can help by holding off the bull clones." You state, trying to get the plot back onto course. She nods, a hopeful grin appearing on her face. She turns to the group, her eyes flickering green.
"That Demon Bull King is going to..." Oh, she's still going to say that? Nice, at least the plot is still on course, you think. You're excited to see her dragon in real life, or at least in person? Hallucination? You still don't know if this is a dream, maybe you should pinch yourself.
A flash of the girl's true power is revealed, a large Chinese dragon circled the area, its green hue illuminating the group. Sharp fangs of the serpent glistened in the light.
"PAY."
Woah. That is AWESOME! You can't help a giddy smile that briefly covers your face.
"That jerk destroyed our city! He won't get away with this!" Mei said with determination, the group looked at her with newfound hope.
"But what about Mk?" Pigsy asked, a heartbroken expression upon his face. Mei just smiled and looked at you, as if you were supposed to say something. Oh right, you should probably tell them he's alive.
"He's alive." You simply state and refuse to elaborate anymore. Everyone brightens up and you feel a little bit proud of lightening the mood.
"Lego!!!!" Mei cheers and you all begin your way back to the city.
Sometimes your height is a blessing, this is one of those times. You were currently squished in the noodle truck, and due to your size, you were able to squeeze yourself in the back and not be squished by the group.
You're still not too comfortable with physical touch, you should probably try getting used to it because the chaos Duo will 100% initiate a lot of contact with you.
The truck suddenly tipped and all five of you went flying out. You nearly face planted into the ground but luckily Mei caught you and quickly put you down before they all got in their hero positions.
You held on for dear life as Pigsy drove like a madman.
Yikes, you might not survive in this world. You have no idea how to fight nor land, or even block an attack. You need to learn self defense, or just how to fight if you want to live, you would prefer not to die again. Maybe Wukong could train you?
Wait never mind, he already has one student. Macaque is obviously off limits. Who else could possibly train you? Whatever, you'll cross that bridge when you come to it.
Your attention was drawn to the whirlwind of fire quickly approaching, and once the fire dissipated, a very smug Redson was revealed.
He looked even more awesome in real life. Live action? Whatever.
"So... you want to be heroes, huh?" He taunted, his fangs glistening in the light. You wonder if Redson could train you? You are fully aware the idea is absurd, there was no way he'd willingly train a mortal, let alone an enemy.
"Let me show you what happens to HEROES!" Instantly, a large cyclone of pure fire grew in size quickly. You were in awe, that is the most awesome thing you've seen in the 18 years you've lived. This is a whole different world anyways.
"I'll handle this one." Mei's voice said from behind you. You looked up just in time to watch the girl summon her huge Chinese dragon. You giggle in excitement, then realize Mk should be interrupting this very soon.
"No need, Mk is on his way with a ship out for fire demon blood." Mei briefly glances at you to question what the hell that means but she is quickly interrupted.
Just as you predicted, Mk comes into view, driving the flying ship. The group watched as the boy flew over all of them, somehow ending up upside down and giving them a good view of his terrified expression, before he crashed STRAIGHT into the fire demon, who screamed loudly once his brain registered where the plane was about to land. Redson then proceeded to get dragged around, crushed, and absolutely beaten up by a flying vessel that wasn't even being manned right now.
"Wow, that ship really is out for fire demon blood..." Tang comments from where he walked up beside you to watch. You smile and just watch the scene.
After that whole fiasco, the ship finally crashed and was destroyed, once the dust settled, the group was able to see Mk climb out from the cockpit of the dismantled machinery looking like an absolute mess. Mei cried out in joy and scurried on over, then proceeded to pounce on him.
"Oh my goodness! You really are alright!!!" What? Did she think you lied? Fair enough. Your gaze drifts to the left and you watch as Tang pokes Redson with a stick, as if trying to provoke a bear. You chuckle to yourself and tune back in.
"-way to trash it already- WAIT! Monkey King! Did you find him?"
"Yeah... I did!" Mk said, his voice filled with determination.
"So where is he?" Pigsy climbed onto the mangled excuse of flying machinery so he could get a better look at the boy. You also try and climb but quickly decide against it when you nearly slip. Maybe you're better off being a background character at this point...
"He said it's up to me. Up to us!" Ah, the whole theme of this show. Friendship~! And maybe 'choosing your own destiny' as well but that's debatable.
"Well that's anticlimactic." Mei said, looking ever so slightly disappointed. You couldn't help but agree, it really was anticlimactic. The entire group suddenly screamed, you looked up and your jaw literally dropped when you saw the towering form of none other than the Demon Bull King.
Oh hell no. Being a background character is looking much more preferred now.
"And how are we meant to fight THAT?" You started up at the Demon Bull King, jaw still dropped. No way in hell are you getting anywhere near that thing than you already are. You're actually considering the idea of being a background character...
"We believe in ourselves..! You clean the streets, I'll stop the Demon Bull King...." The yellow jacketed boy looked at the colossal towering over them.
"......Somehow." Mk admitted nervously, and you finally snapped out of your daze. You're sticking to the less dangerous task, which is defeating bull clones or something. Then you realized you have no weapon and no powers...
Wow, you're completely useless? Well, time to put your resourcefulness to use. You look at the dismantled parts of the ship and spot a metal rod with a sharp point. You snatch it up and decide this will be your temporary weapon, at least till you can get something better.
"Yeesh, this jet probably would've been really useful..." Mei kicked the busted up machinery, and almost like a coincidence, a motorcycle rolled out from it. It looked literally made for this occasion, having a 'no bulls' sign on the side of it and everything. Ah, the power of plot convenience and cartoon physics~
"That'll work!!" MK brightened up at the sight of the motorcycle.
"Go get em, buddy!" Mei cheered from behind him.
Mk soon zoomed away on his newly founded motorcycle, off to fight the overpowered bull. The second he zoomed away, a bunch of bull clones immediately began attacking.
Duck.
You instinctively ducked and the metal fist that was aimed at the back of your head misses. You turn and drive your spiked metal rod straight through where a heart would be if this was a living being.
Dodge, grab.
You move your body out of the way of a bull clone trying to seize you and instead grasp its wrist and flip it over your back. You don't know what you're doing, you don't even feel like you're in control of your body right now.
At least you won't die again with this new ability of yours! Though, your mind is now spiraling with questions that you don't have time to ponder over when you spot another bull clone running toward you.
Catch.
You catch the metal fist aimed at your torso. The bull clone looks up but doesn't get another attack in before you're driving the spiked metal rod through its head.
Hohoho! This is FUN! You swing at a bull clone that was about to attack Mei and cut its head clean off.
"Nice one, Hot Shot!!" Mei cheers and tackles another bull clone to the ground. You hear Sandy gasp and suddenly you're squished against a blue chest as there's a loud boom that echoes around the area. The gang and you are shielded from the debris thanks to Sandy, he lifts the piece of stone off and you get a look at the wasteland that once was a city. How do the townspeople even manage to rebuild all of this?
"AHAHAHA! Now this world is truly mine!" The Demon Bull King growled out, his far too big form walking away from the scene. Right before DBK was able to blast the area, he suddenly stopped and doubled over, a 'clang' noise erupting from inside him that echoed all the way to where the four of you were standing. You drop your spiked rod and stretch once you're upright.
"Oh by the way, we should probably get moving since Princess Iron Fan will do some windy stuff later on and I want a front seat view of Mk's Monkey Mech." You state, ignoring the confused looks the gang throws your way.
You don't get to see Mk coming out as a stone egg since you're too far unfortunately, also you just got snatched into a fireman carry by Pigsy. You immediately try to squirm since you're still not used to physical touch but you ultimately give up and go limp.
"I really need a weapon..." You muse to yourself. Mei perks up from where she was running beside Pigsy, an enthusiastic look upon her face.
"Like a sword?!" You shrug, at least as much as you could in the hold you're locked in.
"Literally anything works." You declare.
"Ooooh, maybe-"
"Less talking, more running!" Pigsy demands as he begins running faster, still carrying you.
Dodge.
You glance back and feel your heart drop at the sight of a stone pillar quickly descending on you. You panic and tug yourself right, pushing you, Pigsy, and Mei out of the way of impending death. The three of you slam to the ground and the wind is knocked out of you. The pillar hits the ground, right where the three of you would've been if you hadn't done that. Oof, you did not think that through... At least you're not dead? And hey, you saved Pigsy and Mei! Extra points, nice.
Pigsy immediately gets up once again and continues running, faster this time since he literally almost died. Wow, no 'thanks'? How rude. You hear a boom and look behind yourself to spot the giant Monkey Mech- GOD DAMN THAT BLAST-
Mei lets out a cheerful laugh and the group stops to stare.
"The fight is almost over, we should start heading over there to congratulate him." You state plainly, and are briefly surprised when they actually listen tou you and begin traversing the tattered landscape. Not many people listened to you in your- uh, old life? You might as well start anew at this point.
"You think this is over?! It isn't over- Bozo! So why don't you just get out of that dorky mech and- FIGHT ME YOU COWARD!" You come into view just in time to spot Redson fall to the side and roll straight into the crater created by Mk. Before the giant power ranger suit could grab either of the villains, a large tornado of wind surrounded the two, effectively blocking Mk from successfully grabbing the duo.
Ehehe, Princess Iron Fan!!!
"We know when we've been bested. But this won't be the last you see of us, Little Boy." Her echoing laughter filled the area before all three of them disappeared in a flood of wind. Mei ran up to the huge Mech- and yelled up at Mk.
"Mk!!! You totally kicked DBK's butt! Without us, the city'd be toast!!" She said, gesturing to the barren wasteland.
"I think the toast is burnt." You mutter to yourself as you glance around at the destroyed city.
"But you know, I couldn't have done it on my own-" Mk was then shut up by the shadow that suddenly loomed over him. Then he was shut up even more when he was pulled into a suffocating hug by Sandy.
"You did it, Mk!"
"You're basically the new Monkey King now!" Mei added.
"Monkey Kid did you say?" The tall man with glasses uttered.
"You did good, kid. You did real good!" The pig man built on.
"But uhhh, what now?" The buff blue man asked.
"Isn't it obvious?"
"Yeah!! Bust up more bad guys!!!" Mk said, doing a dramatic pose while holding his staff.
"Orrr we, go eat some noodles?" Tang offered. You walk over to stand beside the scholar and watch as everyone starts chanting noodles, you almost jump when Tang randomly says your name.
"So... Do you have a place to stay?" He asks, concern glinting in his eyes. You look up at him and shake your head emptily, you'll probably sleep in an alley or something, this place seems a lot less dangerous than your old neighborhood anyways. Pigsy joins Tang and flanks you on your other side, you feel like a child in between them.
"Hmm... There's a third floor apartment in my noodle shop, you can stay there until you can get your situation sorted out. You can work at the shop as a form of payment, if you're worried about that." You freeze mid step and the two flanking you also stop. You stare at them with wide eyes, they'd do that for you? They barely know anything about you!
You feel the urge to cry but push it deep down, this is the nicest thing that has ever happened to you, and it's in a whole different world or just a hallucination.
"T-that would be very helpful, thank you." You take a deep breath and reapply your stoic expression, you can cry later when you're alone, don't ruin the cheerful mood with you feelings!
Pigsy sees right through your mask though and pulls you to his side.
"Don't mention it, kid." The pig demon says, and you can feel tears stinging behind your eyes as you look away.
"So, about our earlier topic..." Tang remarks from your other side as you watch him pull out the Journey to the West book from earlier. Oh he's 100% going to info-dump on you. And honestly, you wouldn't mind it a singular bit, you're feeling all fuzzy and warm inside now.
The noodles were heavenly, the pig demon has earned your undying loyalty. You would kill for the chef with no hesitation.
Okay maybe that's a bit extreme, the noodles were very good and you are very thankful for Pigsy. There, that's what a sane person would say.
