If you ever want any feedback or advice, you have my number," Phayu says quietly; no one knows the family friendship that makes Phayu Rain's favorite adjunct, or makes Rain Phayu's favorite student, and there is a tacit understanding that it's important to keep that history a secret.
Rain beams, both with the praise and with the fact that he and Phayu's secret burrows itself deeper in between them now, makes a little home for itself. He laughs, and tilts his head.
"I actually don't, p'lung ajarn,” Rain says cheekily, making Phayu grin at being called "Uncle Professor."
Rain is careful not to abuse the privlege of having Phayu's number once it's stored in his phone. But he definitely doesn't need to text Phayu as frequently as he does with questions about class or internships or projects.
Phayu answers them all, and Rain thinks this must be sort of what being in love is like.
