"I'm proud of you, Rain. If you ever want any feedback or advice, you have my number," Phayu says quietly; no one knows the family friendship that makes Phayu Rain's favorite adjunct, or makes Rain Phayu's favorite student, and there is a tacit understanding that it's important to keep that history a secret.
Rain beams, both with the praise and with the fact that he and Phayu's secret burrows itself deeper in between them now, makes a little home for itself. He laughs, and tilts his head.
"I actually don't, p'lung ajarn,” Rain says cheekily, making Phayu grin at being called "Uncle Professor."
Rain is careful not to abuse the privlege of having Phayu's number once it's stored in his phone. But he definitely doesn't need to text Phayu as frequently as he does with questions about class or internships or projects.
Phayu answers them all, and Rain thinks this must be sort of what being in love is like.

Summary
The second day of the camping trip feels like the beginning of a new era for Phukan. He can't help the smile that stretches river-wide across his face, nor can he stop staring at Cirrus. Specifically his mouth. Phukan has spent years staring at Cirrus' mouth, memorizing every degree of each arc it makes, committing to memory the color of Cirrus' lips, counting the multitude of ways that that mouth can wrap around words and push them out into the air.
But today… today is the day after Phukan got to feel those lips on his for the first time. It's the day after Phukan's first dream about Cirrus came true, and as he walks behind Cirrus' broad frame, all Phukan can think about is how badly he wants more of his dreams to come true.
The ones he has of more than Cirrus' mouth. The ones he thinks Cirrus might also be into. Even the darker dreams, the ones he wouldn't tell anyone but that he thinks Cirrus will understand.

Summary
"We can read each other's minds. I know what he's thinking, always," Boss murmurs. Noeul glances up just then, staring up into the shadows of the balcony, branding Jackson with his gaze. It's downright weird, the way Noeul smiles as though he really can hear Boss' thoughts, his eyes twinkling.
Jackson likes weird though, has never shied away from it. Boss leans down and licks a quick stripe behind Jackson's ear.
"He's very interested, but not convinced. That's why I'm here. Gotta make sure you'd be good for him," Boss whispers.

Summary
"You got 'checkmate' tattooed for me," Boss murmurs, his hand brushing over his thigh as if he's worried he's done something too much. He often does things that are too much when it comes to Noeul, and Noeul has always loved that too much.
Noeul steps forward and presses his palms against Boss' shoulders to get the man to sit on the bed. Even naked and with his robe slipping off, Boss looks every bit the king Noeul thinks he is, and like any loyal subject, Noeul sinks to his knees. Unlike a mere subject, Noeul is sure of the power he has been given as he tugs Boss' hand away from his thigh and keeps his eyes fixed on the ink under skin as he tells Boss to turn his leg so Noeul can see the word Boss has gotten etched under his skin.
Nuttarat.
It's not a code word, not a symbol or stand-in for his name. It's his name, it's able to be his first given name because no one sees the part of Boss' body it's tattooed on except Noeul.
It's his.
