Chapter 1: jetko week 2025, day 5: partners in crime/joining the Freedom Fighters

Chapter Text

A colored pencil drawing of Jet and Zuko riding on a maroon motorcycle in the desert; Jet rides in front, smiling while bent low over the handlebars, wearing a vintage helmet, a red vest with geometric patterns stitched on, and a matching eyemask and boots in red, navy blue, and black. Behind him sits Zuko, his expression intense, aiming a red raygun with his left hand at something off screen and firing a neon laser from it; he wears a brown and gold leather vest and ripped jeans with combat boots. His scar extends down his left arm, and his left eye has been replaced with a mechanical one that glows yellow. His right eye is a natural shade of brown. Jet's Killjoy name is JettSett, leader/" babysitter" of the Double-F crew. Zuko's name is Survivor Blue, a recent escapee from Battery City following his refusal to join the Exterminator program.

Chapter Text

A colored pencil drawing of Jet, Zuko and Mai. Jet is on the right, winking and smiling with a toothpick in his mouth. His outfit is red and blue with black designs; the designs on the mask mimic his eyebrows and eyelashes, those on his vest mimic his swords. He has an undercut, dyed red at the ends, and has dual guns in holsters. Zuko and Mai stand to his left, their arms around each other; Zuko's running a hand through his hair as he smiles at Jet, and Mai is smiling at both of them. Zuko's leather vest, pants and boots are similar to his Book 3 outfit. The Blue Spirit mask is on his belt next to one of his dual guns. His scar is extended all the way down his left arm. Mai wears an open red jumpsuit and a purple crop top underneath. Her mask is purple with black tear track designs. Both she and Zuko have black and red hair.

Here we have the other half of Honor Roll. Zuko = Blue Spirit, Mai = Flatline

And we have the leader of The Double-F. Jet = JetSet, since his name is already half a killjoy name and I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. I imagine he has a one-sided rivalry that nobody else really cares about with Jet Star over "stealing" his name.

Ty Lee and Azula are in the Honor Roll crew, made up of four former Exterminator trainees who recently defected from Battery City. Azula = Kill-o-Voltage, Ty Lee = Circus Freak.

Chapter 3: Boozy Backseaters + PunDefeated

A colored pencil drawing of Jin and Yue; Jin stands in front, holding a ray gun pointed at the ground. Yue and Jin are part of a crew called the Boozy Backseaters - their names are all related to alcoholic drinks. Jin = Red Dawn Perignon, Yue = Neon Moonshine.

Jet's is slightly different than the previous picture, with a red vest with stripes instead of geometric designs, and a slightly different mask and boots. He's smiling at Katara with his arm around her. Katara wears a light blue jacket and a blue jeweled mask, her braided hair partially dyed blue. She smiles slightly, a hand resting on her ray gun.

My first design of Katara (which hasn't changed) along with an experimental design for Jet that I just. Didn't like

Another drawing, now of Ty Lee and Azula. Ty Lee wears a different pink jacket and mask, and a tie-dye skirt; she stands sideways to the viewer, smiling and holding up a gun; Azula stands to her right, holding a mask in her hands with a frown. Her hair is choppy and partially dyed blue, and she wears an outfit with a similar color scheme to her canon armor.

my original conception for Azula's design (which I've modified very little) and an experimental style for Ty Lee. 

More names: Smellerbee = still Smellerbee; Suki = Fantom; Aang = undecided, leaning towards Bridge Blitz; Toph = undecided, leaning towards Earthworm 

Notes:

I've since settled on BLI/nd Bandit (shortened to B-B) as a name for Toph.
