Work Text:

"Pretending to be married, usually pretending to be newlyweds, got them into places unnoticed."
Pre-canon, Hera and Kanan undercover on another espionage mission.
(See the end of the work for notes.)

Inspired by, although not quite illustrating, your "Old Married Couple" fic, this bit:
"I'm fine," she insisted. "We should go dancing."
His eyebrows climbed to his hairline. The last time (also first time) he'd brought up dancing to Hera, he'd received a ten minute lecture on Twi'lek culture that had boiled down to: "You don't just ask a Twi'lek to dance" with a subtext of "don't make me tell you this again."
Hera tried to spin, stumbled again, and grabbed his arm to steady herself with a laugh. "Maybe we'll go back to the room first, though."
I figured they went dancing on a subsequent mission.
I might have gone overboard on the spangles but I don't care.
