Chapter Text

It all started when Mina came running into the common room, smiling like she had just one the lottery.

"Guys!" Mina exited squealed once she made it to the middle of the room, she was hopping up and down, clearly very exited. "Guess what!"

Everyone looked around at the other people in the common room, trying to see if anyone knew what she was so excitedly talking about.

"What is it?" Someone, it sounded like Kaminari, asked her.

"You know how the new mall is finally opening this weekend?" She grinned. "Well! I asked Aizawa if we could all go as a class, and he said that anyone in the class who wants to go can go if they want to! He just has to chaperone at the mall!"

"Wait!" Uraraka stood up, a smile forming on her face as well. "You're serious?! We can really go?!!!"

"Yeah!" Mina grinned at her.

"That's awesome!" Uraraka excitedly grinned back. "I'm defiantly going!"

"Who else wants to go then?" Kaminari asked from where he sat on the sofa. "I mean, I totally want to go!"

"I wanna go too!" Hagakure said from across the room.

"No way in hell am I fucking going." Katsuki grumbled from his seat when Kaminari looked over to him.

"I'll drag Baku along with us too!" Mina snickered, disregarding the blond's response.

They went around the room seeing who could go and practically everyone had ended up saying that they would love to go, but Izuku still hadn't said anything yet. Everyone going looked over to him awaiting an answer, as he was now the only person who hadn't said yes or no to the mall trip.

"You gonna come, Mido?" Mina asked, hope poorly hidden in her voice.

"I- I uh." Izuku scratched the back of his neck. "I don't know... It's just last time.." He cut himself off before he could finish the sentence, but it seemed everyone in the room already knew what he was going to say.

The last time they had gone to the mall, Izuku was cornered by Shigaraki... he had thought he was going to die.

"We won't leave you by yourself if that helps at all.." Uraraka offered, she was obviously feeling guilty for leaving him alone last time and thinking that she let that happen to him. "I promise."

Izuku looked at her and smiled. "Okay. I'll come." He was hesitant, but they clearly wanted him to come along with them, and who was he to let them down?

-=-

It was now Saturday afternoon and the class was on their way to the newly opened mall.

The class was super exited because it had been a while sense they had all hung out with the class outside off UA grounds.

The mall was pretty packed, but considering this was it's opening, it should've been expected, but the class still didn't really care that much about it. They were just exited to get out of the dorms, which, was honestly fair.

Izuku stayed in the middle-ish part of the group, but he was on the end with Uraraka next to him, chatting excitedly with Tsu, who was on the left of her. Izuku was just content to listen to their chatter, adding in when he found necessary or if they asked him anything.

"Yeah!" Uraraka smiled. "My favorite color is yellow!"

"Really, kero." Tsu croaked. "I thought it was pink, considering your hero costume."

"Well!" Uraraka looked off in the distance. "Pink used to be my favorite color! Yellow just reminds me of something."

"That's really cool!" Tsu hummed, then she turned to Izuku. "What's your favorite color, Midoriya? Kero, we all just assumed that Uraraka's was pink the same way we assumed your favorite color was green. So, is it really green?"

Izuku laughed softly. "I'm surrounded by enough green." He smiled. "My favorite color is actually red!"

"Huh." Tsu smiled. "We've known each other for so long, yet we don't know each other's favorite color, kero."

Uraraka giggled. "That's kinda funny, huh?"

"Yeah!" Izuku laughed. "It is-"

He was cut off when someone bumped into him. Izuku fell over a little, but caught his balance. He turned around and looked to see who had bumped into him and was met with the glint of silver.

The glint of light reflecting off a gun...

Izuku's eyes widened and he heard the gasp of someone behind him.

The person holding the gun was a scruffy man with black hair and a a buff build.

Izuku's hair was grabbed by the hand that wasn't holding the gun. Izuku opened his mouth to say something, but the man beat him to it.

"I was hired by a man to kill you," He growled before using the hand that had a high grip in his hair to turn him around to face his classmates and teacher, who were looking at the scene in horror. "And to have your precious class watch it happen." The man pressed the gun to the back of his head, the cold material sending a shiver throughout his body. "I wouldn't recommend moving."

Izuku ignored the random people panicking and he looked out to all his classmates and his teacher.

Uraraka was looking at him with watery eyes that were filled with terror. Mina looked like she was frozen, like she couldn't even process that this was really happening, Izuku could relate. Izuku avoided looking at Katsuki and instead look to Aizawa-sensei, who looked ready to attack the man, but hesitant because of the gun to the back of head. The rest of the class seemed to be in similar states of emotion.

"You want to say anything before a pull this trigger and end your pathetic life?" The man asked in a tone that made it almost seem as if he was about to laugh. Psychopath.

Izuku wanted, no, he needed to say something. "I- uh..." He didn't know how to start. "I don't think I'm getting out of this one, guys.." He let out a humorless laugh. "I love you all."

Izuku looked at all his classmates again, and saw every single one look back with terrified, teary expressions. He locked eyes with Katsuki. The blond was looking at him, with what looked like a mix of horror and rage. And his eyes, his ruby red eyes... they were filled with.. tears.

The tears didn't look like they fit with his eyes, the eyes that Izuku hasn't seen cry in a long time.

"I guess this is goodbye..?" He asked before closing his eyes.

A loud bang echoed off the walls of the mall.

Izuku couldn't hear his whole class yelling and sobbing.

He couldn't feel his classmates hands hover over his head.

He couldn't see the blood staining the floor or the tears of his friends around him.

He couldn't hear, or feel, or see anything around him, for he was dead the moment the gun went off. And dead people can't hear, or feel, or see...
