Choji didn't believe in love.
Not after what happened at least
He wasn't going to end up like them. It was easier to get to the top without having anyone to worry about. He was the best of the best and nothing was going to change that. No matter what
“ Choji calm down you're going to get hurt, “ Togame said coming up behind him sandals clanking on the concrete
“ Hurry up Kame, it's almost time for the fireworks, “Choji said as they finally made it to the Ori. Choji wasted no time getting on the roof as the fireworks sounded above.
“ Look that one is a smiley face, “ Choji said excitedly
Togame just nodded as he heard Arima and Kanuma walking up the stairs. They walked hand in hand as they sat next to them.
Kanuma naturally slotted himself next to Arima. The two cuddled up to each other as Choji focused on the fireworks above.
“Did you two hear what happened to Nirei?” Arima questioned
“ No, did he get beaten up or something” Choji said thinking back to the shy first-year head he met a while back.
“ No apparently Suo cheated on him, “ Arima said as he saw Kanuma visibly flinch at the mention of the other's name
“ Sorry,” Arima said kissing the top of his head
“You're kidding who the hell did he cheat with “ Choji said forgetting all about the fireworks
“ No idea but apparently it's a whole shit show over there since it's someone new in town “ Arima explained
“ Someone new? Why the hell would they start shit if they're new and don't know anyone “ Togame said
“ No idea but the guy probably had a death wish,” Arima said
“ Suo really is an asshole, “ Choji said as Kanuma nodded vigorously
“ We should keep our eyes open in case the person tries to sneak in here and cause problems, “ Togame said glancing at Arimas and Kanumas' intertwined hands
“ Wait, was he an omega or beta” Choji questioned.
“ Omega” Arima responded
“ For someone who doesn't know anything you sure do know a lot, “ Choji said as Arima laughed
“ Seems Suo wanted an Omega all along, “ Togame shrugged. The other two nodded.
Choji felt bad for Nirei but knew interfering would make the situation worse so he would let them handle it.
“Let's get home it's dark as shit I don't feel like getting robbed, “ Togame said dusting himself off
“ Like you wouldn't beat the person to a pulp,” Kanuma said as Togame laughed
“ We didn't even get to see the fireworks “ Choji pointed as he stepped out into the streets.
“We’ll see them next year Choji, “ Togame said as they split ways
“ See you tomorrow, “ Togame said as the two split ways.

Everyone was hanging out in the Ori when a mysterious scent made its way through the air. The cherry blossoms were strange especially during this time of year.
“ HEY WHO THE HELL ISN'T WEARING SCENT PATCHES” Choji yelled causing everyone to flinch
Heads t u need as they tried to find the source of the scent that was disrupting their meeting. “ ANSWER ME “ Choji yelled as Rogame came up behind him
“ Calm down Choji, it's not that serious. If any of you need scent patches I have extras just come down to the stage “ Togame said as he waited for someone to step forward
Someone in a dark hood and mask walked to the front their scent following behind them like a shadow. They weren't from Shishitoren that much was clear as they stopped in front of the stage
“ Who the hell are you? “ Choji said as the cherry blossom scent became overwhelming. Arima came up behind the two as he whispered something into their ears.
The stranger just stood there with different colored eyes looking at them. “ Why are you here? “ Togame asked looking at the stranger
“ You said you had extra scent patches, “ The stranger said
“ Yea for people from Shishitoren, “ Choji said from behind him.
The stranger scoffed as he turned to leave. “Wait. Here take this, “ Togame said, giving the stranger a scent patch before he left the Ori. A tense silence fell over the Ori as they heard the doors shut. The cherry blossom scent still lingered but it wasn't as strong
“ OK WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO BE WATCHING THE DOOR “ All heads turned towards the door where two Shishtoren members were looking around sheepishly
“ Fucking useless what's the point of having alphas protecting the door if you let just anyone in “ Choji said
“ Alright enough of that we need to continue our meeting,” Togame said

Togame was acting weird. Ever since that stranger left the Ori he kept acting weird. He was on his phone more and kept making excuses when Choji asked to hang out.
He was getting sick and tired of it. He wanted answers and was going to get them. He started by texting Kanuma hoping to get some advice omega to omega. They were going to have a sleepover. Togame wouldn't be home because ‘he needs to help my grandmother’
He was an orphan but he's giving him the benefit of the doubt
“Togame's behavior is really strange but then again he's always been weird, “ Kanuma said biting his nails
“Yeah but he's not one to lie directly to my face “ Choji countered thinking back to the morning when Togame left in a rush
“ Maybe he's planning a surprise isn't your anniversary coming up “ Kanuma said starting to run out of ideas
“ Now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure it's on Saturday, “ Choji said, trying to remember the date. They would officially be dating for a year. He was still skeptical but chalked it up to being paranoid.
“ I can have Arima bring it up if you'd like, “ Kanuma said as Choji nodded. He was glad he wasn't going through this alone
Maybe love wasn't so bad after all

It was the day before his anniversary with Togame and Kanuma had called him to the Ori. The drama with the stranger had died down and apparently, Nirei was gone. So he didn't know why Kanuma wanted to talk
He saw Kanuma and Arima standing by the door of the Ori, both of them looking nervous. He tilted his head confused. “ Why the hell are you looking at me like I kicked a puppy “ Choji said but Kanuma just waved for him to follow them.
Instead of walking straight into the open space two in front of he turned right towards the stairs. Choji looked puzzled but followed them. Before getting to the top Kanuma put a finger over his mouth to tell him to be quiet
What the hell was going on
The two stayed ducked down as they used the ledge to move around the top floor without being seen. Choji followed, still confused before he heard voices down by the stage.
As he was about to pop out to see who it was, Kanuma yanked him down. He shook his head and only let go when they reached the other side where a sizable hole was left.
Kanuma signaled him to look through the hole. God he wished he didn't
Togame sat at the front of the Ori in one of the chairs. That itself wasn't weird if it wasn't for the hooded figure sitting next to him. He looked over at Kanuma mouthing
‘Who the hell is that’ he received a shrug as he turned back. It seems the stranger had gotten comfortable as he was now resting his head on Togame's shoulder
Choji couldn't do anything but stare as the stranger's face got closer and closer to his boyfriend's.
There is no way Togame was going to let that happen right
He was going to shove that stranger away
He had a reason to resist
Choji was that reason
So why the hell was the stranger now in his lap
He felt someone tugging him by his shirt but he quickly shook the other off as he took out his phone. He took a picture to use for later.
He stole one last glance as he saw the stranger lock eyes with him. He flipped them off as the three stepped out of the Ori.
Choji didn't say anything as he started walking away. He felt someone tugging his jacket. He saw Lanuma standing there looking nervous.
“ Choji I'm sorry, “ Kanuma said but Choji only shook his head.
“ You did nothing wrong Kanuma” I'm the stupid one who fell in love. Went unsaid
“ What are you going to do?” Arima asked coming up behind Kanuma
“ What is there to do I'll probably go home and sleep pray this was all a nightmare and that I didn't think that anything would actually go right for once, “ Choji said as he stepped away
He felt rain start to come down as he let out a chuckle “ Fitting right all this water might snap me back to my senses “ He said as he started walking home leaving Kanuma and Arima behind
Kanuma took a step trying to follow but Arima stopped him with a shake of his head” Let him process this on his own we’ll visit him in a few days” He said as he took off his jacket to shield Kanuma from the rain.

Choji did as he said although more angry than he would have liked. He had slammed his door so hard it rattled and he had practically ripped his jacket off.
Why was he so angry
He brought this on himself
He had promised himself he wouldn't end up the same way as them
He promised and here he was
A heartbroken omega on the verge of falling off the edge
Just like them
‘Did you really think an alpha would like you? ‘
‘ No one wants an omega stronger than them and you're living proof of that ‘
‘ At least now he won't have to put up with a burden like you ‘
His omega's words rang through his mind as he forced his eyes closed. Despite his efforts, he still felt the tears fall as thunder struck in the background.

He woke up the next day with puffy eyes from crying in his sleep. He heard a knock on the door and let out a groan. He already knew who it was and didn't know if he was ready for this so early.
It's better to get it over with
With that thought in mind, he got out of bed. He shot Kanuma a quick text telling him what he was about to do and to expect him at the Ori today.
‘Alright tell me if anything goes wrong’ was the other's response. He prepared for the inevitable as he pulled up the picture on his phone. Clear as day was Togame with a random omega on his lap.
Seeing the picture gave Choni the confidence as he opened the door. As expected Togame stood there looking at him concerned as if he wasn't cheating on the day prior
“ Happy anniversary,” He said but Choji just scoffed. He wanted to slam the door in his face but he was excited to see what excuse Togame had
“ Choji what's wrong? “ Togame said finally noticing the others' puffy eyes
Choji just turned his phone screen towards Togame letting the other dig his own grave “That's not me “ Togame said but he sounded unsure even to himself
“ Who was it?” Choji asked seeing the other flinch like a neglected puppy.
“ No one Choji I promise that was the last time, “ Togame said not realizing he had just dug himself deeper
“ The ‘last time ‘ How many other times were there “ Choji asked trying to stop himself from lashing out.
“ Choji I didn't mean it like that, “ Togame said trying to save his skin
“So you didn't mean that you cheated on me multiple times and came home hugged and told me you loved me after. “ Choji said watching the others' faces
“ Choji I promise I won't do it again “
“Yeah, cause we're done. Get out of my house “ Choji said pointing to the door
“ Choji wait we can work this out “
“ Work what out there's nothing between us anymore. Get out before I call the cops “ Choji said as he turned away from Togame
The other obeyed but Choji didn't let himself relax until he heard the door click shut.
“ I ended up just like you didn't I mom “Choji chuckled as he wiped the tears away

As Togame rounded the corner he was suddenly dragged into an alleyway. A blindfold was put over his eyes as he was dragged somewhere.
When the blindfold was removed he was greeted with an open field and the entirety of Shishtoren was present
“ What the hell is all this” Togmas questioned but Arima just smirked
“ You thought you were going to mess with our leader and walk free, “ Arima said before Togame saw the mob charge towards him.
