Chapter Text
I was surprised to see Sebastian in the Welcoming party for the new farmer. He usually just stays in his room all day and comes out at night like a fucking vampire. Sometimes he even gets out during rainy days god knows why he loves rain and snow so much. There he was next to his sister Maru and Demetrius with a Rhubarb Pie in his hands, distracted. I decided to say hi but as I was making my approach Haley blocked my way.
«Hey Sam, excited to see the new farmer?»
«Move over, I'm trying to reach Sebastian»
«Fine. You don't have to be so rude. I'm surprised he is even here, maybe if he showed around more people wouldn't think he is such a weirdo.»
I groaned «Who says that?»
«Everyone... I mean he probably goons to weird anime girls» God she's so annoying, probably still mad at Sebastian for when he rejected her in 9th grade.
«Get lost Haley» I walk around her not turning to see her annoyed expression, and call over for Sebastian. He looked cute in a Sleeping with Sirens t shirt and black skinny jeans.
«Hey Seb, brought a pie for me?» I said with a malicious look on my face.
«No dummie, it's for the Farmer» he smiled and I felt my cheeks blush a little.
«Hey Sam» I looked over to Maru who was waving at me. Demetrius was behind her with a hand on her shoulder. He was looking at me but not really, giving me a polite smile of recognition. Let's just say he's not interested in Sebastian's friends or Sebastian at all.
«Hey Maru, did you make that pie?»
«Yes, it's one of my favourite recipes» Sebastian looked at us probably surprised to see us bonding. We made more small talk until the bus arrived with the farmer.
Everyone gathered around the bus as the doors opened with a creek. The farmer was pretty, redhead with freckles and was immediately bombarded with questions and gifts.
«You're gonna love it in here sweety» said grandma Eve handing her famous chocolate cookies
«Why is your hair so red?»
«Can I touch it» Vincent and Jas jumped with excitement.
The farmer was overwhelmed by all the people, trying to stock every gift in a bag that was clearly filled to the top with food and even a beer from Shane. I stayed back with Sebastian but eventually he followed his sister into the crow leaving me alone with my thoughts. It didn't look like they were coming back anytime soon so I made my way home alone.
