"Let’s make this a challenge", Sam proposed, standing up and grabbing two cans of Joja Cola from his mini fridge. He threw one at Sebastian who caught it with ease.
"A challenge?"
He didn’t sound very thrilled by the idea. Sam didn’t care. Sebastian was never excited about things that didn’t involve video games or playing pool at the saloon.
"The one who gives the better present wins uh…", he thought of a proper prize, "a free evening at the saloon from the other."
That finally got Sebastian’s attention, head quirking up. His long fingers – black nail polish already chipping away at the edges of his nails – opened the blue can and he took a swig out of it. He smirked, and that smirk did awful things to Sam’s stomach.
"Deal."

He loved music and skateboarding and learning new tricks and singing at the top of his voice. He loved flowers even though they made his nose explode and his eyes swell up. He loved sunshine and swimming and his denim jacket with the holes in it and his old sneakers.
Even at the moments where he kind of lost sight of all the things he loved, when he got too much in his head about everything that could go wrong, about how afraid he was of losing everything and everyone that mattered to him, Abby and Seb always managed to bring him back to himself. He loved that too. His thoughts weren't as loud when he was with them.
