Denki walked into the common room with Eijiro. the two had been training together with Katsuki, but more so goofing off while Katsuki yelled.
"Man, I want a big juicy steak, just a slab of meat, bro, I'd eat it raw that's how starving I am. Ya get me?" Eijiro said while plopping on the common room couch.
"Thats- uh.." Denki began with a chuckle. "That's disgusting, idiot." Bakugo said gruffly "Now let me make real food."
Bakugo trailed off and the rest of the squad came in, saying their greetings. Denki got a text from.. someone. his happiness dropped and he went to sit on the couch alone so he could text back*
Momma Kaminari: Denki you haven't called or texted. well i'd like to give you an update. Anri proposed to me and i'd like if you would show up to our wedding. I know you hate Anri since he "touched you" but can we put that past us?
Denki: hey mom. I don't think I can make it. I will send a gift and i wish you the best!! I love you mom!!
*read*
He pretended like that didn't hurt. Anri was his mom's boyfriend. She cheated with him on Denki's dad; Denki's dad began drinking more before moving to America. he was doing good, he had a husband and a baby! Denki wanted to get in contact but he couldn't. He didn't realize he had tears in his eyes until Sero said something.
"Denki, man, you okay..?" Hanta asked him, catching everyone's attention. Denki sniffled and nodded. "yeah.. uh, just.. dry eye..?" Denki lied. he was a bad liar.
Everyone exchanged glances before Katsuki walked over with a plate of food for Denki. "you suck at lying. now eat, you look like you've lost weight."
Denki ate and just observed before falling asleep on the couch. he woke up in Kirishima's bed, the squad was on the floor passing a joint or something.
"he seems sad.. he's normally peppy! i miss my happy bubbly buddy." Mina stated with her vape in her hand. there was a lot going on and Denki was confused. he got off the bed, realizing he was wearing Eijiro's hoodie. he sat on Eijiro's lap, cuddling up to him. Eijiro was his best friend.
Eijiro looked at Denki with a smile and hugged him back. he got the joint passed to him from Katsuki and he took a hit, guarding Denki's face before offering Denki one. he shook his head no.
"you're acting weird, dude." Jirou said, looking at Denki. "uhm yeah. my mom is getting married to the guy that touched me when I was thirteen." he lore dropped without trying and everyone looked mortified and Denki didn't realize what he did. Mina was on the verge of tears, Eijiro and Katsuki shared glances basically saying 'so we are killing this mother fucker?' Sero looked at Denki, trying to find words to say and Jirou looked at Denki shocked and sad.
"Denks.. is that why-?" Sero started but he couldn't finish. "I will explain at another date.. when I'm not half asleep.. I didn't tell anyone since nobody believed me.." Denki said sadly.
The others had so many questions but respected Denki. they just began talking again while he laid against Eijiro. they finished their stoning sesh around 10:30, the others left Eijiro's dorm but Denki said.
"Eiji can i sleep here.. i don't wanna be alone.." Denki said, clearly holding back tears.
Eijiro nodded as he got changed into a pair of sweatpants. he hugged Denki and carried him to his bed. "i don't say this enough man, but I love you. and i am here for you. and you're the strongest person i have ever met." he said to Denki as he stroked his hair. "you'll be in my heart, forever, y'know." Eijiro said, quoting a saying from Tarzan. Denki smiled and began falling asleep. "I love you Eijiro.."
