Summary
As soon as Slider gets home, he can tell something is off.
Mav doesn't greet him in the hallway by running in from whichever room he'd been in and throwing himself at Slider and jumping into his arms, so Slider has no choice but to hold him tightly against his chest (as if that was a hardship). There's no music playing from the radio in the kitchen; nor soft muffled sounds from the living room where the TV's on.
The house is quiet, and living with Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell who hums when he tinkers and sings when he's in the shower (when Slider isn't making him moan anyway), and who makes these cute snuffling snores when he's sleeping; means the sudden quiet is rather unnerving.
