Summary
Time period: Shortly after A Fist for the Eye. Things are amping up with the portal research, and Bill decides to force Ford to take it. … Easy. Among other things. I wanted to write one about how Bill “treats” Ford’s manic episodes - Ford refers to him calming the mind or boosting it with his abilities. My friend Crunchy and I have a lot of thoughts about Ford being bipolar, and I wanted to experiment with how that would affect the mindscape and the terrain of his relationship with Bill. There’s really no better or sexier metaphor for romanticizing your own mental illness than fucking the demon haunting your brain. No judgment, Ford, I’d do the same thing if given the opportunity. 👌
Crunchy also contributed heavily to this with her amazing illustrative work; you might recall the drawing from the end of my last one which she did. If she changes her mind about credit for this work, I will share here / in the notes! It feels more and more like an unlicensed Gravity Falls supplement book when I see her art in this style lol, she really gets the characters down and makes it WORK.
