Chapter Text

The New Wars
Book 3: What has to be done

War continues! While the Second Bohandi Empire achieved a few great victories, they’re still under attack by overwhelming forces of aliens and deviants. And despite the ground they gained, they are still facing terrible odds. Superbohandi remain the greatest threat, leaving total devastation in their wake.

To put an end to this threat, Admiral Wal’ker is preparing to execute a risky plan. As part of these preparations, he dispatched a team of operatives to reach Superbohandi-occupied space and learn where their most vulnerable targets are.

Chapter 1
Spies

Bohandi Experimental Ship N2 exited transwarp. 5 Bohandi operatives, led by Colonel M’rek, were aboard. The ship was full of new technologies, including transwarp and new stealth systems.
-How far to Superbohandi-occupied territory? - M’rek said.
-200 light years - B’lek, the pilot said.
-That was really fast - T’el, the medic, said.
-Yes, but the Superbohandi have an easier time detecting us in transwarp than in hyperspace - B’lek said.
-Not with our new stealth systems - M’rek said. - Plot a course to their territory and engage stealth systems.
The crew did that and the ship entered transwarp again.
When they exited transwarp, they were within Superbohandi-controlled space.
-Location? – M'rek said.
-310 light years inside Superbohandi space – B’lek said. - Close to the Narb system.
-I was there once, before the war – M’rek said. – Let’s see how that system looks now. Take us there.
The ship made a short transwarp jump to that system. They exited transwarp at the edge of the system and flew into the system at sublight. There was one habitable planet in the system, and they headed there.
They passed some Superbohandi ships and asteroid mining operations, but no one bothered them. Their stealth system seemed to be effective.
-I am receiving readings on the planet – I'cel, the sensor operator, said. – I am reading multiple Nihilopods on the planet scattered all over the planet, but not present in cities. I am also reading Bohandi and Superbohandi on the planet. And multiple ships and structures in space.
-All of that… – M’rek said.
-Hold on, I am reading a Superbohandi cruiser incoming – I’cel said. – It will pass right above us.
-Stealth system? – M’rek said.
-Still functioning – P’til, the engineer, said. – We’ll now see how good they are…
