Summary
It’s sort of hard to summarise this. It exists in the universe of Golden and Sunrise but I am not making it part of that series because it is not a comfort fic. It deals with grief and loss as well as healing and falling in love. Thranduil and Oropher were together for a Long Time so it’s not so much the incest that gives anyone pause but the family dynamic and the fear of a new relationship after losing a long-term partner.
Okay, it is WAY more romantic and sweet than it sounds. Please give it a chance.
You really need to read Golden (and Sunrise, but less so) first. It’s the origin of Thranduil and Oropher’s relationship and I refer to it quite a bit.
[In which Oropher is 59, Legolas is 16, and Thranduil is ambiguously in his 40s. Pick your poison.]
