Summary
Greed and Lust, they are said to be. The goddess of hunger and the god of desire, said to have once devoured nations and toppled dynasties. She of the hollow, of the unending hunger, him of desire, unending, unslaking.
It’s been at least a few centuries since they were worshipped at the altar, but while their true names are lost to time, they say that legends never truly die.
And as they walk the streets of one of the largest cities in the world, that grand shrine to consumption and consumerism and lust and glitter, it’s not like their cause to exist ever really went away, did it?
He wears a kilt and a shirt of glimmering mesh and a robe of flowers; she wears flower-painted boots and a pair of overalls above a white t-shirt and a long purple coat. Long ago, they wore their flowers as crowns dripping with blood above their brows; now they are merely a decoration, a stain from a life long ago.
(Crystal and Thomas are forgotten gods. They still have fun with it.)
