Yang Jian closed his eyes as he felt the sharp blade like canines piercing his neck, sinking deeper into his smooth, porcelain skin.
He sighs softly and makes a small sound as he feels lips sucking the trickling blood down his shoulder and collarbone. A greedy mouth that followed the path of blood that painted his body, as if he was a canvas. It was not an unusual amount, but it was rather taxing.
The lips and teeth that graze over his skin made him tremble and moan out with bliss. Yes, this hurts. But it was also pleasure, and it raptured his heart and mind completely.
Then, he feels the warm, soft tongue that licked his wounds and made him feel alive. Made him feel cherished. And he clings even tighter onto the back of his attacker, wanting to bring them closer, and to prolong this exhilarating transaction between them.
He was so ecstatic, so eager that he believed he might have taken something. Perhaps it was the wine he drank, or the candle he used. Perhaps something in those emboldened him and created this overly excited self.
However, the moment comes to an end after a while, making him feel like he had lost something precious. When he felt the sweet mouth leave his body and the hands which had pinned him down and forced him to stay starting to loosen and leave him, he felt a surge of loss he could not describe.
“Keep going.” He says, voice quiet and low. His body was weakened now, his chest breathing slowly and his legs unable to stand up. He lay down on his back, hair sprayed all over the bed and eyes half lidded with a sense of fatigue.
“No. I…I have already taken too much from you. I cannot take any more from you.”
Yang Jian wanted to protest. He wanted to tell him, tell him how much he loved their sessions. How wonderful and delightful his teeth felt when they were connected with his neck. How perfectly gentle and loving and rough he treated Yang Jian.
Yang Jian continues, “Wukong, you don’t have to hold back. I can take it.”
Wukong looked at him, eyes glowing red in the darkly lit room, indicating that he was still hungry.
“Brother, you have done more than enough for me. Other…others cannot quench my thirst without paying the ultimate price. It is a miracle that, for whatever reason, you are the sole individual who can survive my attacks. And look at yourself, brother. Look at how weak and pale you have become because of me, how thin and how gaunt you have become. All because of this insatiable monster that stands before you.”
Yang Jian was aware. He could sense it, feel that after each session his strength would temporarily diminish. However, after a while, he regains his strength and does not perish, unlike all the others before him who had attempted to help Wukong.
“I can handle it, Wukong. I am not some frail maiden, nor am I a regular immortal. Take however much you need. I don’t mind it.”
He not only didn’t mind it, he looked forward to it. Every touch, every mark, every semblance of love that Wukong gave him he hungrily accepted. Even though Wukong thought this was a one sided deal, to Yang Jian, he was only giving up a small offering of blood for something much, much more valuable.
Wukong shakes his head and turns away, walking towards the door. He stops and, clenching his fists, grunts out.
“This is the last time, brother. I promise. I’ll find some other way to satiate my hunger. I won’t trouble you any longer.”
Yang Jian widens his eyes and tried to prevent Wukong from walking out, leaving him. He stumbles to his feet and nearly tripped, not yet recovered from the loss of blood that had happened a few moments ago.
He felt strong arms lift him, protect him and hold him so preciously, he wanted to lean even closer.
He felt Wukong’s warm breath and heard his voice rasp out, “Oh brother. Look at yourself. See how weak you have become! You cannot even walk or stand properly without nearly falling to the ground! I have gone too far. I truly have gone too far now…”
Wukong places him on the bed again and Yang Jian tried to drag him with him, tried to keep Wukong close to him. But it was no use. His fingers slipped and his hands were weak.
“Brother, you no longer have to endure such suffering anymore. I’ll find someone else. I’ll-
“You dare?! You dare seek to consume someone else’s blood? You dare to leave me and replace me?!”
Even though his voice was shaky and weak, Yang Jian still managed to make his point across.
Wukong looked at him with desperately wanting, yet terrified eyes, “Brother please-
Yang Jian would let him finish his sentence, “Sun Wukong. I agreed to this deal on my own terms. I wanted to be your donor. And you accepted. You cannot just go off and find another victim!”
He hadn’t meant to voice out the last word, and he regretted uttering it the moment the word left his mouth.
Wukong looked like he had been stabbed through the heart with a wooden stake. His pointy ears were turned down in shame and his tail sagged on the ground.
“Exactly, Brother. That’s what you are. A victim. I’m sorry…I’m so, so sorry I-I just don’t know how to control myself. I know you only agreed to let me take your blood so that I won’t go off and kill more people but I can’t do this to you anymore. I’ll eventually kill you!”
Wukong shakes his head over and over, ruffling and messing up his fur as he tries to shake away his hunger as well.
Yang Jian’s heart couldn’t help but break for Wukong. Even when he was a “monster”, he was still so kind.
“Wukong. Why don’t you bite me?”
At this, Wukong abruptly paused everything and looked up, face completely shell shocked.
“What? No, no. Brother, you don’t mean-
“Yes. Bite me. Turn me into what you are.”
It was a known fact that celestial vampires could drink each other’s blood to satisfy both parties. The only problem was, Wukong was the only celestial vampire that still existed.
But that didn’t have to be the case. Vampires could easily be turned.
Wukong shook his head and backed away from Yang Jian.
“No, no. No! I can’t do that to you! Don’t you understand the consequences?! You’ll be hunted like me! Your uncle will disown you! Haven’t you forgotten why you even agreed to do this in the first place? It was to keep me from destroying more people’s lives! I’m a monster!”
Yang Jian slowly felt his strength starting to return. He got up from the bed and walked forward towards Wukong.
Wukong backed away, and soon his back hit the door. He reaches down to open the doorknob, only to discover that the door was completely blocked and locked with some special lock.
He was shocked and looked at Yang Jian, in complete disbelief.
“You…you planned this. You planned this from the start.”
Yang Jian smiled as he walked even closer, so close to Wukong that their bodies were touching. So close, Yang Jian could smell the iron fragrance from Wukong’s lips, from the feast he had devoured before.
“Come, Wukong. I know you’re still hungry. I’m right here.” Yang Jian intentionally exposed his neck even more, showing off the pale smooth skin with the tempting blood coursing through his veins. The mark that Wukong had already left was still very visible and incredibly inviting.
Wukong closed his eyes and then realized that was a mistake. This close, he could smell everything. Closing his eyes only heightened his other senses more.
“I-I can’t.”
“Just one bite, Wukong. Look at you, you’re the one who looks pale now. Don’t be afraid.”
Wukong found this situation to be incredibly frustrating and ironic. Here he was, the predator, looking more like the prey! He was trying to be considerate and thoughtful and respectful, but Yang Jian was pushing all of that aside! What was he to do?!
He turned his nose to the side in faux disgust and Yang Jian saw right through him.
Unexpectedly, he felt Yang Jian’s hand push against his cheek, forcing him to turn towards Yang Jian again. Then a strong tongue thrusted inside his mouth, brushing against his sharp canine fangs.
A gush of blood, sweet, delicious, familiar, filled his mouth and he couldn’t stop himself from moaning in pleasure. It didn’t matter how many times he tasted this, it was always the most satisfying blood he had ever consumed. Maybe it was because of Yang Jian’s royal identity.
Or maybe it was just because it was Yang Jian’s blood.
Before he could even get his head clear, he was kissing back greedily consuming every last drop of blood that flowed from Yang Jian’s own lips. He felt himself drowning in pleasure and he happily took and took as much as he could, his appetite completely peaked.
Once his hunger subsided, he finally realized just what he had done and found the strength to push Yang Jian away.
He brushed away the blood leaking from his mouth, and stared at it, the red color staining his hands.
“Oh why…why can I never control myself…” he sank to the floor and curled up into a ball, completely ashamed of his own actions.
Selfish! Greedy! Disgusting!
Words that other people had labeled him as. Whenever they offered some blood, he still consumed and took and demanded more.
He thought that after all this time, maybe he had changed. Maybe he could be different.
He couldn’t stop the tears from flowing out.
“I’m so gross and disgusting. How could you ever want to help me?”
Yang Jian knelt down beside him and placed his arms around him, leaning over and kissing his head.
“Oh Wukong. Please don’t cry. You’re not. You’re the most magnificent creature I’ve ever met. I apologize for asking too much from you.”
Wukong poked his head up and said, “Asking too much from me?”
Yang Jian nodded and explained, “Yes. I know I’ve been greedy. Every time you become hungry and in pain, I rejoice because I know that you’ll have no one else to depend upon except me. I want to be your most important person. I want you all for myself, no one else. That’s why I want to be a vampire. I want you to have no choice but to stay with me. And…”
Yang Jian coughed a little bit to prolong his explanation.
“And I figured if you…if you were provoked and cornered into biting me, the guilt you feel would force you to take responsibility for me. And you would take extra care to protect me.”
The more words that came out of Yang Jian’s mouth, the more flabbergasted Wukong felt.
“You tried to guilt trip me so that….You-you and I…huh?!”
Yang Jian decided to just go out and say it frankly, “Sun Wukong. I’m in love with you. And I want you to turn me into a vampire so that we can always be together.”
He then leaned in even closer, so close that Wukong could see the dark pupils in his eyes, every marking on his skin.
“Yang Jian…Please don’t joke with me right now. I’m a vampire Yao Guai. You’re a royal celestial. We could never be together.”
Yang Jian’s arms suddenly wrapped around Wukong, pulling both of them even closer together. Wukong’s own hands naturally fall onto Yang Jian’s back and shoulder, clinging on.
“That’s not true, Wukong. If you bite me, then we can be together, and you won’t have to worry about hurting me anymore. And even if you don't, I refuse to let you go.”
“Yang Jian…you’re not being fair right now. You don’t understand what you’re asking me.” Wukong swallowed hard as he stared at Yang Jian’s pure white skin, so smooth and beautiful, like porcelain glass.
“I know. I do understand. I want you, and you want me. I don’t really care about anything else. Consider this as me begging you for a favor, ok?”
Yang Jian stared down at him with pleading eyes, conveying the message that he will not budge.
Wukong took one long, shuddering breath, his saliva increasing and his hunger slowly returning.
“…Ok.”
When Yang Jian felt those wonderful canines enter into his neck, he closed his eyes in delight and let out a small whimper.
“…Thank you.”
