Summary

Blake is a young woman born in a secret lab who was subjected to experiments that resulted in turning her into a human weapon of mass destruction, and despite her handlers' best attempts, she isn't turned into a cold-blooded killer.
When Hydra (looking for a mysterious source of energy) attacks the secret base where Blake resides, she is inadvertently freed from her imprisonment. That's when she first encounters the infamous Winter Soldier, who attempts to kill her.
With missing memories but a distinctive fear of metal arms, Blake tries to start a new life. It's only when she pulls off a Robin Hood-esque stunt that she attracts the attention of none other than The Avengers, who are compassionate enough to take her under their wing after realizing what her story is.
