Fate really is a curious thing, gives opportunities to the people who less deserve them and forgets about the good people. He already reaped all the bad karma once and for nothing, maybe this time he has to do something completely different to be able to look at the eyes of the people who once loved him.
So maybe he could start changing the past of certain someone and see if his plan can change the future.
