Chapter Text

Years ago, there were vampires called pure vampires; they were like humans but had some differences from humans, pure vampires ate, slept, cried and even had the ability to have children like humans but they had some features that humans did not have. Pure vampires were beautiful, they were beautiful in a gentle and gentle way that anyone would like and fall in love with at first sight. Pure vampires were also fast and strong, much faster than the human eye could perceive and each of them had a special ability that no one else had and like vampires in all the stories, pure vampires also needed to drink blood... So far this is just an old, boring and ridiculous legend but here is where this legend gets interesting, pure vampires had destined mates.

Pure vampires could have relations with humans and reproduce, the child of a human and a pure vampire would always be a pure vampire, but most pure vampires were not interested in this because they were waiting to find their mate. The mates of pure vampires were always wolf shifters. Wolf shifters were humans with the ability to transform into huge wolves. The first glance between a pure vampire and a wolf shifter was enough to know that they were each other's missing half. At first glance between them, an unbreakable bond was formed between them that connected them in an indescribable way. Everything went wrong when a pure vampire bit a human and with its venom, turned the human into a vampire, but that human did not become a pure vampire, but turned into a terrifying creature that we know as a regular vampire or an impure vampire. The impure vampires had bodies as cold as corpses and faces as beautiful as marble statues. They had only inherited the inhuman features of the pure vampires and had lost all their human features, including having children, sleeping, eating, and breathing. They were like moving and beautiful corpses.

The normal vampires always yearned for the love of the pure vampires, but the pure vampires only loved their mates, and the enmity between the vampires and the wolf shifters (or werewolves, as you call them) began from there. Some vampires gradually turned violent and killed many werewolves, which caused the pure vampires to decrease in number as no pure vampire could survive the death of their mate. The pure vampires who had not found their mates fled and hid in other parts of the world and disguised themselves as humans among people, and the world gradually forgot about them, and even the impure vampires no longer remembered them, and they became nothing more than old legends.

Edward was a child when his mother told him this legend, which was actually their history. Edward remembered how his mother, Elizabeth, had buried her hand in his hair and stroked him while she hugged him and put him to sleep. When Elizabeth finished the story, Edward looked at Elizabeth with his big green eyes and, yawning, asked in a childish voice, "Mommy... do I have a mate too?" Elizabeth laughed, kissed Edward on the head, and whispered, "Yes... of course you do." Edward smiled as he fell asleep, vowing to himself that when he found his mate, he would protect her from everything, even from impure vampires...
