Bruce was stunned by the woman in front of him. She was standing in the center of a ring of dead or seriously wounded goons of the Penguin's who had attacked the charity event he was hosting. The deep blue dress she was wearing was ruined, parts of it hanging loose where it had been cut and stained with blood. Most of which wasn't hers but the men's.
Not to say she was uninjured. There were cuts on her arms and at least one on her side. But she was the only one left standing from the fight, and he was impressed. Even more by the fact that her face was unknown to him. He was intrigued and needed to learn more about her as soon as he could.
"That was very impressive," he said, his genuine feelings coming out in his voice.
She turned to look at him as he walked forward into the circle.
"Just doing my job," she said.
"Still, that was one of the most impressive fights I have seen in a long time," he replied, quieter since he was closer to her, so others wouldn't hear.
"You've seen enough to judge?"
She looked as intrigued as he felt.
"Allow me to take you somewhere private to help with your injuries and I will explain," he said.
A dangerous smile appeared on her lips, and Bruce knew that the night was going to end with more than just her wounds being taken care of. Not that he wanted to protest the slightest.
"Lead the way," she said, her tone dipping seductively.
He started to lead her out of the room.
"May I know your name?" he asked.
"Natasha Romanov."
He many not have known her face but he knew her name. A very intriguing woman indeed.
