“Come on.” Hua Yong huffed, nudging his boyfriend’s shoulder. He knew that Shen Wenlang wasn’t a fan of mazes. “I’m with you.” He reached down to intertwine their hands. Shen Wenlang’s hands were cold but that didn’t matter. Hua Yong had every intention of warming the alpha up later. He’d been given a gift to be going here on their date.
“You think you’re funny but we both know what happens in cornfields.” Shen Wenlang responded sarcastically but his words lacked any real heat paired with the fact he hadn’t released his hand. His breath misting in the cold air.
“I think it’s romantic. Besides, this particular maze isn’t a monster maze. It’s a walk through. You’re supposed to find the hallowed stops and learn facts about Halloween.” Hua Yong countered, leaning over to press a kiss to his boyfriend’s cheek, then nuzzled his ear. “Wolfie…” His alpha smelled good.
“Fine, but you owe me a tasty bath and the biggest bowl of lanzhou. Not instant either.” Shen Wenlang caved. He really wasn’t interested in going in, but this was their date night. And like his enigma had said, it was a non-scare maze. There were thirteen places to stop and learn things about the holiday.
“Deal.” Hua Yong knew better than to further tease him. If he didn’t then he wouldn’t get the chance to go in. He pressed a kiss into the shell of his ear before leaning back. Hua Yong wouldn’t dare break a deal that included making a sexy mess of his boyfriend then feeding him his favorite comfort food. If he was lucky then he’d be able to earn himself a nice bite of dessert afterwards.
