    Miku Hatsune had severed all ties to the outside world.
    She was a Hikikomori, a hermit, a shut-in entering her fifth year of unemployment. Most people her age abandoned their youth to pursue their aspirations, Miku however, isolated herself from the world outside the confines of her apartment.
