“Do you think they survived?” Gao Tu laughed as he shut their car door. He looked lovingly at Sheng Shaoyou as the alpha shut his own door.
“I know Wenlang did, but Yong? Not so much. Their art isn’t…” Sheng Shaoyou playfully winced. Their mate was a perfectionist. They knew he loved their pups but his compulsive perfection made crafts difficult for Hua Yong to help with.
“Not messy? I bet when we go in that A-Lang will still have some smudges either on his face or hands.” Gao Tu agreed.
“If we play our cards right then we can assist in cleaning them up.” Sheng Shaoyou waggled his eyebrows at Gao Tu as the latter let out a soft oooh with his sigh of want.
“What a great plan.” Gao Tu leaned in, pressing a kiss to his alpha’s cheek as they walked hand in hand inside. What greeted them as they entered their home from the garage was the pups and their mates working on painting ghost masks at the family table in the kitchen. Hua Yong was fussing with Peanut while having their Sunflower on his lap then Xiao Lee between them two and Shen Wenlang. Their precious Moonflower was perched on Shen Wenlang’s lap. Sure enough though Wenlang had paint on his jaw, neck, and hands. Hua Yong looked pristine even as he wore his crafting apron.
“You really shouldn’t be using that color, Peanut. It’s just going to turn it-”
“Violet! Like Moonie!” Hua Sheng cut his fuqin off.
“Vile-itttttt!” Shen AiWen attempted to copy her brother in a happy shrill followed by giggling.
“I like it, Peanut!” Gao Lele praised his little brother.
“I likes it too, er-ge.” Sheng Xiang added on, lifting up her painted ghost mask. “Does you like mine?”
“Yes, it’s so pretty Sunny!” Peanut praised his little sister’s mask.
“Ba and Pa are home!” Sheng AiWen called out, smelling her other parents' scent arriving scents in the air.
“Brushes down! Masks up!” Shen Wenlang informed the kids. Immediately the boys and their older daughter lifted their ghost masks, showing off their creativity.
“Soooo scarryyyy.” Sheng Shaoyou laughed softly at the vastly different ghost masks.
“So well done, pups.” Gao Tu praised them.
