Work Text:
”I don't think that's a good idea...” Namjoon stood in your way, his dark eyes boring into your own. You would have cowered in front of his alpha status display. But he was neither your mate nor was he your alpha. Which was the reason you were at their dorm to begin with. Your alpha had stood you up and you hadn't gotten word back from him in almost 24h. Calling his friends, had only lead in avoiding answers and Jeongguk not picking up at all. Which confused you to no end, the youngest would usually bombard you with texts all day long. He was something like a baby brother to everyone, especially as you were the only girl in their pack currently. He often asked you for advice on what he would be, once he'd step into the big puberty-shoes. He would turn 20 in two days, which meant by now it would have crystalized what he was. Making you even wonder more about the whole situation. No one had called you, to tell you the news. Least of all either your Alpha or Jeongguk. “You have no right to keep me from seeing my alpha” you told him, calm as you were. He did scare you a little, his intense alpha eyes were still intimidating. Even if you were not affected as any of the other pack members, you still did feel the flight or submit instinct. Humanity had long evolved to a system that was supposed to redefine their structure completely. People were born with different ranks, which each held importance of their own. Alphas were born leaders, most of the time. There were also Alphas that worked in less imposing positions. Alphas that would keep groups together and other's that could mediate between groups. They could also coexist as long as they knew their way around the alpha antics. It was rare but it did happen, for more than one alpha to be part of a group. Those groups were called packs and usually consisted of Betas and Omegas as well. Betas were advisors, the voice of reason and those who could have a detached look on everything going on. They had to be, as they did not go into heat like Omegas or Alphas and had to keep watch over their pack members. Omegas lastly were meant to reproduce and guide their Alpha. Although the Alpha was the leader and had the last say and Betas were their advisors. Omegas usually could lead their Alphas to see reason, with the facts of the Betas. They were the motherly touch and love of the group, a glue practically that held them all together. Securing all the options Betas or Alphas could lack.
BTS – that was your alpha pack's name – was uncommon as they had more than one alpha. Namjoon, Yours and Jimin. Including the two Betas Yoongi and Taehyung. Lastly you and Seokjin were Omegas, however Jeongguk had yet to enter his own rank. Most of you assuming he would be an alpha. He did show traits of an alpha after all. He was nothing like you and Seokjin. While you did look the part of an Omega, soft curves and alluring in looks. Seokjin was gentle and motherly, with a strict hand at times in need. Jeongguk was nothing like that, the youngest was headstrong and stubborn. Did only follow his own path and just sometimes did listen to Taehyung or Yoongi. His admiration and adoration for Namjoon, was probably the only thing that threw off the alpha thing. You really wished for Jeongguk to finally come into his rank, so he could fully fit into the group and feel of use. He had confessed over many nights, that he never was really sure of his position in the group. After all for now he was just being pulled along, not really contributing to anything so far. You had carded your hand through his black hair over and over again, calming him down from his state of distraught. Advising him to take it slow and that all of you had been in his shoes just a few years ago. After all Taehyung had just come into his rank, two years prior. “I don't... but I don't think you want to... he's busy” Namjoon tried once more. This just agitated you further. Not really understanding what was wrong with wanting to see your alpha. After all he had not come home last night, after their latest practice. And you just lived next door with him. Packs couldn't be separated for long, which was why most bought a story of some building. Having their pack mates living in different apartments on the same floor. Namjoon's mate Seokjin let his hand rest on your shoulder, comforting and warm, not helping your confused state however. “Maybe you should come with me for a second...” he suggested kindly, despite his broad shoulders and defined stature. He was the most gentle of them all. “A-alright....” however you were interrupted by a high pitched moan, coming from down the hall. Namjoon cursed under his breath. Your eyebrows pulled together in more confusion. It was nothing new to hear some sexual noise in the dorm. After all there were three alphas, one unmated and still going in occasional heat cycles. What came next was the low growl of someone you knew oh too well. Only then did you notice that you'd entered the living-room and Jimin was inside with a scowl deeply etched onto his face. Taehyung was talking to him, but it seemed the alpha wasn't listening. You weren't either, not even when Seokjin tried to move you with a little more force. You were rooted to the spot.
”Please tell me that, that's not what it se-....” interrupted by a loud thud of something hitting the wall and more groaning and high pitched moaning. Taking Seokjin's hand off your shoulder, you did not spare him any glance. Yoongi stopped Namjoon from stepping into your way. He shook his head silently, anger was written all over his face and something akin to disappointment. You walked over to the room, that Hoseok used to share with Jimin and Taehyung, before he'd moved in with you next door. That was before he'd imprinted on you, before both of you had become mated. Your heart hammering in your chest, only intensified with the sounds that escaped the cracks and crannies of the room's door. Thundering in your ears by now, your heartbeat only sped up. Until your fingers curled around the cool metal of the door's handle and pushed it open. The sight making you want to throw up. That and scream. But you did neither. Instead you just watched as your mate was positioned behind the youngest of your pack. His hips hammering against the other's backside, in motions you knew way too well. They didn't even notice your intrusion, too deep into what they were doing. After all Jeongguk must have just gone into his heat. Knowing for a fact that Hoseok had just been in his, there was only one clue as to why he was back in heat. It happened once every blue moon, an alpha could override his imprint. Sometimes an Omega would be born, more fitting for the alpha. It just happened once every million people, since the system had been introduced to the gene pool. But of course it had to happen to you now. Hoseok had overwritten his imprint, when Jeongguk had come into his heat. Deciding to leave without any other sound, you closed the door with a soft thudding sound. Inaudible with the two being too loud in there. Taking a deep breath, you knew the rest of the boys were waiting for your reaction with bated breaths. Deciding you took enough time for yourself to calm at least your breathing down, you walked back into the living-room. You looked at Namjoon and avoided Seokjin at all costs. You knew his eyes were watering and seeing him cry would be the last straw for you to cry as well. “I am going to go home now....” pressing out the word home, took a lot of effort from you. After all it wouldn't be that for long. “Please don't tell him that I stopped by...” Namjoon ran a hand through his hair, a sign of him being distraught, as he was gripping at strands of currently dyed silver hair. “We... will talk to him” but your shook your head. “Don't....” Jimin was going to protest but you held up your hand, for them to let you talk.
”Jeongguk just came into his rank, he expected to be an alpha and he turned to be an Omega. The shock that he will be in, once the heat is over. It's going to be overwhelming.... I don't want him to think he's responsible for anything... Because he's not.” you had to convince yourself that this was just how nature rolled. You weren't good enough for Hoseok and the future of his, so someone else had to take your place. And something inside you was alright with that idea, because it wanted Hoseok to be truly happy and have the best in life. While another part of you was equally scared of the future of yours and angry over the cards you'd been dealt. However none of this was Jeongguk's choice or fault and that was what you knew for sure. You loved the little maknae as much as all of them did. You couldn't imagine any better Alpha to be bound to than Hoseok, after all he had helped you through your first Omega years. “I can't stay, we know that. But I will keep in touch....” you smiled a little at them, although all you wanted was to cry really. Instead you simply stuffed your hands into your coats pockets. “I'll let you know once i'm heading out...” you couldn't say goodbyes now and maybe you wouldn't. Pretty sure you would just vanish, because you wouldn't be able to bear watching their sad faces. However for now, you wanted to give them a little ease of mind, they had been your pack after all. Deciding that you couldn't stand there any longer, you turned around to leave the apartment. To your relief none of them stopped you, Namjoon holding tightly onto Seokjin who didn't want you to leave. Not with how things were going, you were part of his family and this was like losing a limb to him. His alpha only made it bearable with holding him like that. You did have a bit of time before Hoseok would return to the apartment – if he returned to the apartment. Which meant you could pack your things in relative calm and maybe even write him a line or two. After all you'd been together for almost six years now, bound for five. There were a lot of memories in the apartment, a lot of funny ones, places you made love to one another. Places you had sought relief at in your heat. And some of sadness. When your parents had passed away, leaving you completely alone with no more relatives in the world. When his sister had been in the hospital with an accident and no one was sure if she would make it. A lot of things had happened. But, now it was time to say goodbye. Going through your things, you decided to go light. Only packing a few pants, shirts and money you had saved for a trip of yours and his. It should have been a gift for the anniversary a month ahead. But you figured he wouldn't mind if you'd take it. With that, your shoes and your coat on you turned off the lights in the apartment. Leaving a piece of paper on top of the kitchen counter for him. Before leaving the apartment and your old life behind.
Shakily you locked the door of the apartment and bent down to place your four house keys underneath the doormat. One was for the collective apartment of the boys. The second was for the main door of the building, the postbox and lastly your own apartment's key. Fingers lingering on the rough top of your doormat your eyes began to finally fill up with saltwater. After all you could still remember how he'd placed it there. A sun depicted on the doormat with a big “Welcome to our home!” Dark spots were forming on the beige colored doormat. /”Let me carry you over the threshold...” he said and spread his arms, ready to put them underneath your legs and behind your back to lift you up. “Why?” you were giggling, knowing Hobi it was some utterly romantic future related response. “I wanna practice, for when we get married.”, “You'd have to ask me first” he grinned at you brightly. “I will and it will be the bestest proposal ever!” you laughed as he still pulled you up and carried you across the threshold. “That's not even a word.” you laughed and hid your face at his neck. He smiled warmly. “When it makes you laugh like that, how can it not be one...”/ you bit down on your lower lip and pushed yourself up on your feet. Turning around you made sure to take the other way round to the stairs. So you wouldn't pass the boy's door. Leaving them behind did hurt almost as much as it did, leaving behind Hoseok. After all your insides were clawing at you to go back to him. He was your alpha, he was your world and you were taking one step after another away from him. People barely knew what happened to those who got re-imprinted. There were some really scary stories, others said they just lived and died. No one was really sure what happened to the Omegas left behind. And yes it did scare you, more than anything in your whole life had. Not even the death of your parents was comparable to the fear you were experiencing now. But you knew also, that you couldn't stay and that you staying would only cause heartbreak and more problems. You had a duty to bring your own alpha peace and if that peace was you leaving and him having a shot at happiness, then you were willing to take it.
Finding a place to stay at for the night wasn't so hard, you still had your college and high-school friend. And your best friend Jessica – whom everyone called Jessi anyway – had offered right away, for you to stay with her and her mate. Her mate was three years younger and a very cute Omega. You'd watched them fall in love and Jessi struggle to actually admit to her feelings for Kevin. It had been a back and forth for almost a whole year. Until at one point she simply caved in and they totally fit together. He kept her in line, when she was about to rip someone's head off. And she protected him from those who thought to take advantage of his kindness. His now black hair, did make him look paler than usual when he opened the door for you, but you also knew with the lingering look of sadness. That the Omega was feeling with you, it was in your nature as well to feel with others, so you knew. “Do you want some hot cocoa?” he asked you as you hang up your coat and took off your shoes. “That would be nice” he nodded, made sure to squeeze your shoulder once for comfort before making his way to the kitchen. Jessi had yet to come home from her self made company. As the CEO she had quite the tough work schedule, but always made sure to come back home. Kevin was a elementary school teacher and therefore always at home around four to five pm. You didn't mind that your best friend wasn't there yet, you really didn't want to talk about it just yet. And Kevin was less forward than she was, when it came to get information out of others. He simply sat down next to you and wrapped his arms around you. His cheek rested on your shoulder as the two of you just stayed there on the sofa in silence. It was comfort and support all at once, making you grateful for having such a great friend to relay on. What felt like hours were just thirty minutes of hugging it out on the sofa. Until you were just simply too tired to keep your eyes open any longer. Falling asleep in Kevin's embrace, just lead to the Omega carrying you to the guestroom and covering you with a blanket. He took off your sweater and your socks, you were close enough for it to not be weird. Making sure you were comfortable, he remembered to open the window a little tilted. Enough to draw in fresh air into the room, while you were asleep. Closing the blinds almost all the way and turning off the light. He came back to his mate in the living-room, who immediately wrapped her arms around him to let him tell her what happened. She had gotten a bit form the text and Yoongi had contacted her to ask wether you had actually gone to them or not. But more than that the elder didn't know and she didn't like to not be clued in.
Days passed in which you had to sort out your life again and while the decision had seemed easy in your thoughts. It was much harder to live it. The urge to run back to him was great, it was like an itch after a mosquito bite. You really wanted to scratch it, but it would swell and bleed if you did. Resisting the urge, you called up your former employers until one of them called you back. You had been a dancer and bar singer, during the time you had been in college. Earning money to support yourself, without needing to ask your parents. Not wanting to burden them with your life choices. You were a state approved midwife. But working with happy couples and delivering babies into the world did not feel like an option. Quitting your job had been hard, especially when you'd loved being at the hospital and working with the doctors there. However your mood was just not right to welcome anyone new into the world. It didn't feel right or good to work your dream job, when your heart was not in it at all. It wasn't that you resented happy couples, babies or love in general. The fear of possibly doing so, when seeing it all day however was. Wang Jackson owned the bar of his father now and the old man had always had a soft spot for you. So it didn't come as much of a surprise, when he called you back and asked if you wanted to sing for their bar again. He was able to pay a little more now, as the bar had expanded and Jackson had found ways of improving the little establishment of his father. Enough for you, to have a small apartment and not burden Kevin and Jessi any longer. Though both had made sure over and over again, that you were not burdening them at all. The latter even going so far as to claim, she wanted to keep you forever. You were like a baby sister to her and she loved you a lot. In the end she had to let you go, though it took Kevin almost all night, to persuade her. They helped you with moving your things into the small apartment above the bar, that Jackson had given you. After hearing about your situation and why you wanted back to your old job he had suggested it himself. It would be easier for you to get to your job and be safe at night. As an Omega on their own wasn't really safe. Even with the regulations and the all time low of criminals, there were still some out. Rogue Alphas or even unbound ones in heat, looking for a lonely Omega.
By the time you started working for the young silver-haired Alpha, you were living in the apartment for a week, two weeks out of Hoseok and the other's life. At first it had been hard to ignore their calls and not answer any messages. Especially with Jessi telling you to finally reply, as she was going crazy. But the mosquito bite analogy was still playing in your head and you were not going to scratch that itch. It would eventually blow over, you were sure of it. Ignoring the way you were feeling sicker by the day. After all this was the longest you were gone from your previous mate. Week three and no more calls or texts were rolling up on your phone, you were fully emerged in your work as a bar singer and part-time barkeeper. Almost forgetting that your heat was approaching. So when it hit you, you were in the apartment trying to prepare for your stage of the night. It was Jazz themed and Jackson's mate's idea. He loved to throw theme parties and dress to the occasion. So it was no wonder, than he was all dressed like some 1945 detective in an old black and white movie. Just showered and about to slip on your dress, you were almost thrown to your knees from the heat that almost sucker punched you. Bambam, the shortcut for his actual name that you still had problems of pronouncing entered your flat, to g through the performance of the night with you. When he smelled the pheromones thick in the air. As an Omega he knew instinctively the scent of an Omega in heat, unfortunately Alphas knew the scent as well. It was so strong, that even heat unaffected Betas could smell it. “(Y/N)-ssi?” he asked tentatively, closing the door of your apartment behind him and locking it to make sure. Kunpimook was a defective Omega – it happened here and there, the DNA wasn't a perfect thing after all – meaning he didn't go into heat himself. It in return didn't affect him to be around people in their heat. It seemed to help him a great deal when Jackson was in his heat, or so the two had told you.
“I.... I'm... I think I am in heat...” you managed to press past your gritted teeth. For now your heat was in it's first steps, which meant you could still control yourself and think clearly. But with each passing minute and therefore hour, you would lose more and more of a grip on yourself. “Shit, don't you have any suppressants?” he asked, you shook your head. “Didn't need to, I was.... I knew Hoseok from the beginning...” your body made a full blown shiver from head to toe at the thought of your ex-alpha. Your body refusing to acknowledge that you weren't his anymore. Pulling up images and memories of him during your heat and how good he'd felt. You managed to reach your bed with the help of Bambam. “I.... I am going to find help okay?” in all honesty? You couldn't care less for whatever he did, you would wait it out. In this bed you would try and wait it out. After all this was going to be your future, heats by yourself without anyone to help. Because how could you imprint on anyone after Hoseok? How could you when your heart and mind were still screaming for him.Bambam left you in the apartment making sure to lock the door behind him and take the keys with him. So no one could get in lured by your pheromones from the bar below, or other way round. You walking out into the bar, tempted by the alphas' scents downstairs. That however gave your mind enough time to conjure up Hoseok in so many ways you were losing your ming. In the end it caused you to dial the man's number, without even realizing what you did. His frantic voice on the other end, did give you a short boost of relief. Even if it did not lift the haze on your mind, it did easy the ache in your guts and neither region. “Where are you? Please talk to me. Please. You were just gone and I don't know how to find you. Why did you leave? Why didn't you talk to me? (Y/N)!” his words didn't translate into anything you knew or could decipher. To you his voice was just there floating around you, lulling you into the false image of him near. At the mention of your name, you couldn't help but release a moan.
“(Y/N)! Are you in heat? Where are you? Let me please see you, please let me help you. This is all so messed up....” turning your body to be able to rut against the sheets below, for some sort of friction you accidentally muted his side of the conversation. No longer hearing him, but him still able to hear everything on the other line. So he did hear when Kunpimook returned with the promised help.It was an unbound Alpha from their pack, who offered to help you out. That was if you wanted. His name was Mark and he was quite handsome, though at the point of your heat you were in, he could have been the ugliest man alive and you would have thought he was Chris Evans. “I was asked to help you and I will... that is if you want me to...” his tone was commanding and every bit the alpha he could be. He didn't want to edge your heat on, but wanted you to be as close to sanity as possible with the hormones exploding in your veins like fireworks. A little sobered up by his tone you watched him carefully and assessed the information as good as possible. “A-Alright...” that Hoseok was still on the other line of the phone was forgotten by now. After all to you it was just some mirage, some figment of your imagination to have called him. Mark was true to his word, he did take care of you. Made sure that your pleasure was on the forefront, used protection and did help you clean up afterwards. He even let your needy Omega hold onto him till you fell asleep. Waiting for you to be awake, so he could say proper goodbyes once your heat was over. It should have been embarrassing to be in such a vulnerable state and be taken care of by your friend's friend as a favor. But he was nice and funny. Made you laugh and even had breakfast with you. By the end of your heat and the week he was a friend of yours and not just an alpha who'd helped you in your dire time of need. During the week of your heat your phone had naturally died on empty battery and therefore you didn't know or remember that you'd called Hoseok. You weren't aware of what hell broke loose in the dorm, or how he had tried to find you day after day for a whole week. Until Seokjin and Taehyung were able to convince him, that he couldn't find you in a city as big as Seoul. Especially if he didn't even know if you were still in Seoul or not.
But as fate had it, the world was small and things eventually fell in place somehow. They say if you love someone, you should let them go. And if they come back to you, they were truly yours. And if they don't they never were or will be. Somehow there is always an element of truth to every saying. Months pass by, in which Mark helped you with your heats. Creating a deep bond of friendship and trust between you. Things seem to look normal, or go back to as almost normal. You don't expect Jeongguk to appear in the audience of the bar. You don't expect him there because it's not his kind of bar, this is not his kind of music and he shouldn't be on his own out at night anyway. Thought he thought of a grown man not being allowed to be out alone, should have made you laugh at your silly self. If it weren't for the weirdness of the whole situation. To your eyes he was still the golden baby of the pack, not necessarily a functioning adult. But here he was, sipping on his water watching you from dark doe eyes. It would have made you squirm in your seat, while you were singing the lines of Adam Levine's “Lost Stars”. But you were as good a singer as you could hide your emotions. So you closed your eyes and just let the song float out of you. Of course your thoughts would wonder to your ex-alpha and ex-mate. But that was the only way you could convey the feelings of the songs you chose to sing in the best way and people seemed to love it. If the steadily raising customer number, was any indicator. The raised paycheck definitely was. Though you suspected the little more extra in the already raised pay was Bambam's doing. You chose to ignore Jeongguk's presence when you walked off stage and to the backroom behind the bar to change. So you could resume your second job at the bar. Maybe he had just come to enjoy a drink and listen to music? Or he was meeting up with some friends from college? Yeah right and pigs could fly. Though it did make you wonder how he did find you. Your questions seemed to be answered soon, seeing as the dark haired man walked over to the bar with determined steps. He sat down right in front of you, his glass empty sat down on the bar top. “Good night, Sir. What can I get you?” you used your customer friendly voice and waited for his order. “I am looking for my Noona, who ran away from her pack. And while you at it some Jack Daniel's would be nice.” he said. Raising a single eyebrow you put a glass of Orange juice in front of him and added one of those little umbrellas to fancy it up a little. “I don't think your mate will like you drinking...”, “He also didn't like his mate just take off and run away...” he shot back and took a sip from the orange juice.
“I don't know how you found me Jeongguk, but you should leave after this glass and just forget about this okay?”. As stubborn as you could be, Jeongguk was a whole new level of stubbornness, so thick headed he could probably break a diamond by headbutting it. That had been one of the reasons you'd thought he'd be an alpha, he could be so determined. “Jackson is friends with Namjoon, he was talking about his business and how it was flourishing with the new singer. I was genuinely curious, I mean you don't get to see bars often, with Jin-hyung breathing down your neck like my mother. So asked him a few questions and voila it seemed my Noona was that mystery successful singer.”that kid could be smart when it came to certain things he was interested in. Which was why you'd been confused, as to how he could have gotten 3/100 on his english test once. Then again his interest in the english language was pretty non existent, if it wasn't to try and gain Namjoon's approval. “How come you are on your own here. Seokjin would have never allowed and neither would have Namjoon, Jimin or Hoseok...” you knew the hyungs too well and the alphas as it was. It was dangerous for an Omega to walk around at night by themselves, especially into a bar filled with single alphas. Even if bonded to an alpha. Some could challenge the bond, could just destroy it out of sick kick – though that happened rarely to never. “It's obvious you wouldn't have talked to Hobi-hyung and.... I... this is my fault so I had to come and fix it!” he said and downed the rest of the orange juice. You wanted to tell him to leave, but his words did hit something inside of you. Something that was weak for the maknae and couldn't bear for him to think that way about himself. Just because you weren't part of the pack anymore and for Jeongguk to have imprinted on Hoseok, it didn't mean you didn't care for him as you did for the other's. And maybe a little bit more – though a bit less than for Hoseok--- the train of thought really gave you a headache. You reached over the bar and almost felt your heart breaking as he flinched a little. Expecting you to slap or punch him for 'what he did' to you. Instead you slowly inched your hands forward to cup his cheeks in your hands. “None of this, is your fault nor will it ever be your fault” you said. Your eyes locked on his dark brown eyes.
”Things happen and they're out of our control. You thought you'd be an alpha and you weren't. I thought me and Hoseok were meant to last and we weren't. But none of this is your fault. You are perfect... in every way imaginable and I could never imagine anyone better for Hoseok than you. If he had to imprint on anyone but me, it should have been you. And in return, you deserve an Alpha like him. Someone gentle and patient, who will understand you and try to work with your stubbornness and your risky plans.” You leaned your body over the bar and pressed a kiss to the top of his nose. It was an old habit of yours and Jeongguk's you would give each other a kiss to the nose. As Jeongguk had read that Eskimo gave their friends kisses on the nose. However he'd misunderstood the whole “Eskimo-kiss” principle and it had turned into a comfort thing for each of you. “But, Noona...” his lips formed a sad frown that you wanted to kiss away. The thought made you flinch back a little. You'd never thought of Jeongguk that way, especially not since you knew he was an Omega. He was the youngest, a baby really. Should be protected and cared for. You'd never thought about his soft lips, or equally soft skin. Of how his hair fell cutely into his eyes and he shook his head a little to get the hair out of his eyes. How he'd sniffle, or his heart shaped lips that could form the cutest of smiles and the most adorable pouts. Biting on your lips you pulled your hands away and turned to tell Jaebum who was having a shift with you, that you'd take your break now. You'd call Seokjin or Namjoon and tell them to pick up Jeongguk before anything could happen to the youngest. Once the apron was gone around your waist, you walked from behind the bar to the front of the bar and motioned for Jeongguk to get up. You had changed from your dress into the customary clothes of the barkeepers. Black tight fitting pants, a white button up and a black vest. Topped off with a bowtie, cause sometimes you liked the extra class it gave you. But both your way was blocked by a bulky alpha man, you had seen three times this week already and almost every week before. He wasn't as tall as Jeongguk, but sure enough did make up for it with his muscles. His hair was dyed an electric blue and both his nose and lip were pierced. He was wearing a suit to fit the theme of the night, but did look utterly out of place somehow. “Can I help you, Sir?” you had to be friendly and keep the customer service top notch. After all this was now Jackson's life work and that of his dad before, you would do anything to help them protect it. Even put up with some asshole seeming Alpha. And maybe he just seemed that way, but was actually super nice? Well he was quick in contradicting your thought of him maybe being nice. “Sure you can” he leered at you, that your stomach made a few unpleasant flips. “Well how can I help you, Sir...” you tried to stay polite, though you had to hold Jeongguk by the arm for him to not try and start a fight with an Alpha. When it came to it Jeongguk could probably take on the man, but he was an Alpha and submission came naturally to an Omega eventually. Even though they could resist it for a certain amount of time. “You sure could show me the backroom of your bar...” Jeongguk wasn't just ready to jump and throttle the guy, oh no. He wanted to rip his goddamn throat out, for even thinking he could touch his mate.
The thought left the young adult speechless to stand there and stare wide eyed at you and the Alpha in front of you. You were still positioned in front of Jeongguk to keep him from the Alpha's eyes. After all he was very attractive, an Omega and could be seen as someone to conquer and tell other's about. You would not have the man add Jeongguk to his list of people fucked and left. Especially not when he was mated to Hoseok, though there was another thought that you didn't even dare to entertain. However the dazed look of the younger, did catch the Alpha's attention eventually and he wanted to push you aside a little to look better at Jeongguk. Not going to happen on your account, you did not move when his hand lightly tapped your shoulder to move aside. That caused a frown to spread on the Alpha's features and quickly he was curling his fingers around your throat. It was tight and cutting off your air supply. “What do you think you're doing bitch. Know your place” he growled into your face. You knew what that voice could induce, fear and submission. But the want to protect Jeongguk overpowered the need to submit to an Alpha. After all Jeongguk was the pack's baby, he was family, the youngest, to be protected at all costs. And so ingrained as it was into your mind and heart you could and would not submit. Even with the bruising grip that was almost crushing your windpipes. Or so it felt. Jeongguk on the other hand was rooted to the floor, he'd never been talked to like that. Even if the words were for you, he couldn't help but to stay where he stood. As much time as he'd spent around Alphas, Namjoon, Hoseok and Jimin had never abused their Alpha abilities and therefore never actually used the tone for submission with them. No matter how rowdy they could be. Your trachea was saved by a tan hand that had curled around the man's wrist and crushed his bones in the grip. Making the man yell out in pain, trying to get out of the other person's grip. You had fallen back into Jeongguk's chest, holding at your throat and trying to rub away the soreness, while gasping for air. Eyes watering at the pain and the air running like a marathon through your system, you were bent over and did not see who'd come to your aid. But you were guessing it was either Jaebum, Jackson or Mark. The three had been present and from the corner of your eyes you'd seen Jaebum move across the bar, like some action movie stunt. Though you were leaned against Jeongguk's chest, it wasn't his arm that curled around your shoulders and helped you upright. It also wasn't his gentle voice coaxing you over to the table to your right. Sitting you down, you blinked away the tears to look up and see Seokjin's gentle face. Not far behind him were Namjoon and Taehyung. Yoongi was talking to someone with Jimin and Jackson a little further away. You recognized the uniform of the man as a cop and wondered when they'd been called. With the realization that the pack was there, came also the realization that you hadn't seen the last member of the BTS pack.
”You should drink some water” Kunpimook was holding a glass out for you, his eyes apologetic – as if the whole incident was his fault. “Thank you” raspy voice, created by the friction of your windpipe's walls, when he'd almost crushed your throat. Drinking a few sips, it felt like liquid healing to your throat and a little gambling for more time, until his voice did finally say your name. It had been so long, you almost keeled over at the sound of it. “(Y/N)” he stood to your right, but you wanted to gamble for a few more seconds, before you looked at him. “Look at me” it was formed as an order, it was made for you to obey and look at him. You followed. Timidly your head rose to create a rendezvous between your eyes. He looked horrible, thick black circles, forming bags underneath his eyes. His skin wasn't a glowing golden tan as you remembered, but almost looked ashen to you. Hair held out of his face by a snapback backwards on top of his head. He was wearing a sweater and some jogging pants. “God I fucking missed you” and then your arms were filled with Hoseok and all you could do was curl your arms around him. His face pressed into your neck as he inhaled your scent, almost like a starving man who was finally getting a meal after being out of food for weeks or even months. “H-Hoseok...” your voice was still a little on the raspy side and it would take a little bit of time for your vocal cords to recover, but you didn't know what to do. This was overwhelming, seeing him, taking in his scent, being around him and in his arms. It was all too much and too little at the same time. You wanted to drown in him, be devoured by him. But you also wanted to run away from him, from the truth of everything and the disappointment of what life had done to both of you. Jeongguk's presence did clear your mind a little and had your arms slowly loosen their hold around the man. “H... Hoseok... you need to let go of me, your m-... Jeongguk probably needs you” it was true. The young man was still shaken and confused. He stood a little to the side, sticking close to Seokjin and Taehyung. Although the bar had been emptied after the incident and they were among close friends. “Jeongguk will be fine, you weren't. I couldn't reach you, couldn't find you. You were gone and I didn't know why. God... I missed you so much, I needed you so much... and you just up and left me...” just then did you notice, how your skin was being slicked with tears that were shed against your neck. His body was shaking from the force of his sobs, as he held onto you. “How could you just leave me? How could you be alright without me? I couldn't sleep, couldn't eat or think without you....”
Noticing how much the situation was overwhelming you, Namjoon resumed his reasonable Alpha role. He asked for Jimin's help to detach Hoseok from you and make him listen to the leader of the pack. “We should probably settle down a little, calm down and then explain.... You need to understand her as well Hobi- hyung this hasn't been easy on her as well....” not wanting to let go of you, he did reach out to hold your hand. Watching him and then Jeongguk you were hesitant to take his hand. That alone created an expression of devastation on Hoseok's beautiful, usually sunlike face. Jeongguk reached out to hold his Alpha's other hand, waiting for you to take the outstretched hand. Slowly you did. Wondering where all of this was going. It did take away the stiffness in the middle-man's shoulders, when both of you held his hands. But it did also confuse you even further. Not that you were any less confused about everything happening around you. Jackson offered his apartment and living-room, with some coffee and snacks. Given as it seemed to be a long night and with no offense to your ex-pack. Jackson did want to know what was going to happen to you and with them, since he did feel for you like he would for a little sister – if he'd have had one. Agreeing that it was better than being scattered all around the workplace of you and the GOT7 pack, the group was lead up the stairs to the upper apartments by BamBam and Jackson. The staircase was quite narrow, so you had to walk one after another behind one another, like a row of little chicks following their mother hen. That way though you were walking in front of Hoseok, who refused to let go of your hand. Causing you to not notice how he was staring at your back, drinking in your appearance. It had been little over six to seven months now, your hair was longer. Or so he at least felt. You were thinner and of that he was sure. Wondering if you were eating healthily. Because he knew for sure, you were no good cook and neither was he. One of the many reasons why you'd stayed around the main pack's apartment. Nothing beat Jin's cooking. “You and Jeongguk need to duck your head. Namjoon, Taehyung and Seokjin as well. There is this pitch of the roof, that kind of goes into the staircase....” you interrupted his train of thought and he nodded, turning his head to tell the other's behind him. Jimin and Yoongi for once, were quite lucky to not be as tall as their pack mates. The little group arrived at the first floor and took to the apartment that was across from your own. There were two more apartments, for the rest of Jaebum's pack. As he was the actual Alpha of the pack, but Jackson had lucked out in inheriting the place from his father and it had just fit their group so much. That they had agreed to live there together, after all they would have looked for something for all of them together anyway.
Once the door was closed behind the last person to enter, Jackson and Bambam offered seats in the living-room to everyone. The latter busying himself in the kitchen to make some coffee. Followed by Seokjin who wanted to help. You could only imagine how the two would exchange stuff about their Alphas in there, or cook together. They were quite cute on their own, but together you could imagine them to become best of friends. On your side of things, it wasn't as cute as you imagined the kitchen to be right now. Instead the tension was thick and you had chosen to let go of Hoseok's hands when you guys had sat down. It just felt weird to hold his hand any longer, with his mate around. The thought did hurt but you had had time to adjust after all, months should have been enough to at least accept the fact he wasn't yours anymore. Being able to move along without it hurting anymore, or even like the idea? It could and would probably take a lifetime. Taehyung broke the awkward silence first, he was less patient than any of them. Even if he'd become much more after taking on his rank, he was still much like an overexcited puppy. “You promised to keep in touch” he stated it, but you knew it was more of an accusation. The young man in front of you could get ridiculously attached to people. “I couldn't....” it was the complete and honest truth. You had wanted to keep in touch, but the fear of hearing their voices, either Jeongguk or Hoseok's. The fear of them actually answering the phone or texts, or even letters. Of them finding out where you were, it had always stopped you short from keeping in touch. “To be quite honest, I am confused as to why you guys are here...” that of course wasn't probably the best way of approaching their appearance in the bar or Jackson's apartment. Given that Yoongi sent you a chilling glare, that made you shut up very quickly again. “You are part of our pack, you vanished in the middle of a crisis, so of course we were looking for you” Namjoon replied instead. Ever the diplomatic, he tried to keep all fronts calm and collected. It didn't help that you really didn't want to have this conversation. “That's not exactly right... You know that I have no right to a position in your pack anymore. I am none of your betas, not your Omega and neither an Alpha of your pack....” you avoided looking at Hoseok or Jeongguk. “I was free to go and I did...” from the expression on Yoongi's face he was ready to bitch slap you six ways to Sunday. However he was held back by a hand on his elbow, which turned out to be Jimin's. You were a little confused as to what was going on between the two. Especially with how close the Alpha was sitting next to the Beta. Namjoon ran his hand once more through his hair, disheveling the previously neatly styled pink hair into a mass of crazy off-standing pink strands. The last time you'd seen the young alpha his hair had been shaved on both sides and fluffed in the middle, with the color of stardust. Hoseok couldn't stay silent any longer, he needed answers. Answers to everything, especially to the phone call you'd given him months ago. “Who helped you through your heat?” he asked and it was more of an instinctual reaction than actual realization, when your eyes fell on Mark for a split second. The latter had been trying to busy himself in a conversation with Jaebum. Completely unprepared for Hoseok slamming into him and knocking him right to the ground.
You didn't understand what was happening, why your former alpha was snarling into your friend's face and almost ready to punch the living daylights out of him. But he had to be stopped, before he could seriously hurt your friend. “You have to stop him!” you didn't mean Namjoon nor Jimin, if Hoseok was in a frenzy no other Alpha could really help, not even their leader. They could be seen as more of a threat. Your attention was on Jeongguk, who was his current mate. “I don't know how...” he looked seriously scared, which you understood. Hoseok was gentle and kind, he'd never displayed any Alpha characteristics before, why he did now was way beyond you. “That's what Omega's are there for, we're much more leveled when it comes to these things...” you hoped Jeongguk would be as natural in these things as prepared Omega's. “Try touching his shoulder, do it slowly... don't want him to reflexively punch you. Even with your scent and how it should ground him, in a frenzy you may never know...” Jeongguk shook a little as he followed your guidance. “Gently say his name... you have to sound sure of yourself okay? Don't be scared....” he wasn't. Hoseok wasn't someone you'd be scared of, never in your whole life. He was much like Jimin or Seokjin, people you tended to immediately trust. Following through with your instructions, the youngest Omega gently laid his hand on Hoseok's shoulder as he was ready to punch Mark in the face. The latter looking over his shoulder to you, with quite the confusion written all over it. You simply shrugged your shoulders, not knowing where all this was coming from and where it was heading. “Hobi-hyung....” the boy was tentative but didn't sound sad. The young dark haired's voice did stop Hoseok from punching Mark, turning his head over his shoulder to look at him. You sighed in relief when he slowly loosened his hold on Mark. Wanting to help the alpha up you made your way over to them. But somehow that did quite the opposite from actually helping the situation. Hearing your sigh of relief and you walk over to touch Mark's shoulder, just had Hoseok snarl and punch the young man into the face. Breaking his nose in one swift move, blood splattering onto his hand and Mark's face. He howled out in pain, squirming beneath the older. “Hoseok!” your couldn't help yourself to raise your voice and reach out to push him. Brown eyes blazingly on your face, did not make you squirm away from him, but meet him head on. As much as an Omega was submissive to an Alpha, you weren't a kind that was afraid of your alpha. There were certain instinctual moments in which you could face your alpha – in your case your former Alpha – knowing fully well to stop them. You pushing Hoseok off of Mark, had given him the opportunity to slid away from the older Alpha and be helped to his feet by Jackson and Jaebum. Kunpimook and Seokjin had come into the living-room at the sound of commotion, not really knowing what was going on all of a sudden. It was supposed to be a talk, not a flat out fight.
”What in god's name is wrong with you?” hesitancy or even sadness are forgotten in face of anger. And for once you couldn't control yourself anymore, even if you did not consciously give him or Jeongguk any fault in the situation. You couldn't help but to feel betrayed right now. It wasn't you who'd imprinted on someone else and it wasn't you who had not even noticed their mate at the door. So you had the right to walk away, you had the right to build a new life and to find someone to help you. “Wrong with me?!” he yelled back at you. “I wasn't the one who packed her things, left a good damn three sentence letter behind and vanished into thin air. Then called me a few weeks after, to make me listen to her get laid by some other Alpha. To top it off, he's been touching you for every heat since you'd left and you expect me to be okay?!” Not stepping an inch back from his yelling, you were ready to combust into his face as well. You two had never seriously fought like that, but then again you'd never been in a situation like this. “Oh well, excuse me for not wanting to stay around. While my alpha is fucking my best friend and currently turned Omega. Ignored my presence, although he was supposed to “sense or smell me” or whatever bullshit those pamphlets come up with. Excuse me, for not wanting to stay around, to listen to some explanation. As to how you can't change what nature has in store for you. That I am no longer to be by your side and not fit for you.” you took a deep breath. “I did not blame either of you and chose the easy way for all of us. So yes, I up and left but I had good reason. I never called you once! And that Mark helped me through my heat, is because he's good at heart and a kind soul. He didn't even let me help him with his heat, saying it wouldn't feel right to ask for a favor like that. Because friends helped and didn't ask for anything in return. He went out to find someone willing to help him through his heat, because he knew my mate dumped me for a friend of ours.” you couldn't help but to become quieter at the end. Your fire power was pulverized and you were just oh-so tired. “He saved me from going mad and you just punched him, because of some territorial bullshit. Get over it... you have Jeongguk now and I still don't blame either of you. Because we don't pick what we are and who we are with... but nature does. And you coming back into my life, trying to claim whatever bullshit you are claiming, is not going to help me move on from you.... I was doing fine up until now...” you were doing anything but fine without him, but you would rather suffocate again from being held by the neck like before, than tell him that.
Jackson on the other hand thought it was important to share the information with your former pack. “You were not moving on and you were not doing fine.....” he said quietly, catching Hoseok's attention. “I didn't get to tell you, because I just came back from the meeting with a friend of mine, who works with the bureau of structural affairs. I told him of your case and how you weren't able to move on. And he said it's impossible. Once the link between mates is broken like that, you would have been able to move on. To find a mate that was more fitting for you. He said he's dealt with three cases in South Korea of re-imprinting and he's never had someone or heard of someone who couldn't move on from their Alpha” you glared at Jackson. This wasn't helping your case or the other's. Jeongguk looked like he was going to burst into tears. As if he was the one who'd caused things to turn out that way. Like it was his fault for Hoseok to re-imprint and for him to be an Omega. “Well then I am a freak case... happens to the best. DNA mutation isn't a new thing you know. Happened decades before us... with the first humans to begin with...” It was growing out of hand, too many people looking at you. The glimmer of whatever in Hoseok's eyes that could very well been mistaken for hope and your wish to just run. It all piled up on you, so you did the only thing you knew how to do. You made a beeline for the door and were so quick at it, that no one could stop you from leaving the apartment. Slamming the door behind you, three people were ready to jump and run after you. But all of them were stopped by Seokjin's outstretched arm. Not the typical build for an Omega, he stood firm when he told them to wait for him. “You did enough as it is...” his glare went form Hoseok, to Mark, before softening to a kind apologetic face to Jeongguk. Though Mark really didn't know what he had supposedly done wrong yet. Outside of the apartment, you hadn't gone that far. In fact you had only walked over to the stairs, to sit on top of the staircase. The other Omega fell right next to you on the steps, his legs spread a little almost reaching two stairs further down. “You should have been an Alpha... You're tall and broad shouldered, you are kind and righteous. You are always so level headed....” he chuckled. “And that's why I am better an Omega than an Alpha. I am too peaceful for my own good... and I don't like to lead that much... It's maybe a bit selfish, but I am glad Namjoon is the Alpha” Leaning back on his hands he watched the ceiling for a bit. It was a bar, but it still belonged to an old restored building. Keeping the beautifully crafted ceiling decoration. “There is another explanation for your situation...” his voice was soothing. You had always admired Seokjin and his ability to be the calm anchor of the whole pack. He was like a gravitation point for everyone and a source of strength not just for Namjoon. God knows how many nights you had sought out his presence, when nightmares and memories of your parents had been too much too bear. When you'd been too worried to burden Hoseok with them – seeing as he was a exhausted with work and life in general sometimes.
”I don't understand” you didn't really. Too much was going on and too little was explained. You felt overwhelmed and a lot like drowning. “The person Jackson talked to, was the same person Namjoon talked to. He is stubborn you know? Didn't want to accept the fact that you and Hoseok were over just like that. So he sought out Bang Yongguk. He's some sort of psychologist and luminary when it comes to mates and the bonding process. He works as Jackson said for the bureau, but he was kind enough to not report our case. You know how they are with their paperwork...” this did make your lips twitch a little. If the pack didn't like something, it surely was the authorities and their knack to find a problem in everything. “Anyways... he told us about something really weird happening.” Seokjin leaned forward, letting his elbows rest on his thighs. “Last summer in Europe... a pack surfaced with an Alpha that had two Omega mates.” you frowned. Eyebrows pulling together, pursing your lips. “Apparently his genes were quite good and nature thought there was more than just one person to compliment him. What was so weird about this case however, was that the Omegas seemed to be imprinted on one another as well. You see, they didn't just love their Alpha unconditionally. They also loved one another equally and unconditionally as well.” that information did surprise you a lot. For a couple of moments you were just at a loss of words. Not really sure what to tell Seokjin or even how to react properly. “I know for a fact that you can't forget Hoseok... And before you even think of protesting or telling me some fancy heroic story of how you'll try to live on for his happiness. Let me tell you how the last months went down” another thing that Seokjin was just good at,was making you shut up with a few words and a glance. “When you decided to leave, we didn't know you meant permanently. We thought for the duration of the heat of Jeongguk. We thought you'd come back to talk to Hoseok about it and find a solution together. After all you had promised to stay in touch. And while I fully understand that, I still don't think it was the best choice to do” licking over his full lips he continued. “Hoseok was completely floored to have found out you'd walked in on him and Jeongguk. Not because he'd in a sense cheated on you, but because he had not expected things to go as they had. Once the heat had worn off, he'd only realized what had happened. He tried finding you right away. Of course he went to Jessi and Kevin, both telling him to not look for you. Jessi out of obligation to protect you and I believe Kevin as well. But also because both knew, that there was not saving a bond, that was broken right?” you simply nodded. “The thing is, Hoseok wasn't getting any better. Usually if he had bonded with Jeongguk it should help him right? He should be at ease and healthy, he should be as he was with you. But he wasn't getting any better emotionally. And so was Jeongguk. The boy would ask for you over and over again. Some days Jeongguk would refuse to eat or even let Hoseok touch him in any way.” a sigh passed his lips, deep and sad – remembering the happenings from months before was almost as bad as having been through them.
“During heat neither of the two would get enough... it would always leave them with dissatisfied feelings and worse than before. We were seriously concerned for both of them. And when you called? All hell broke loose. You have no idea, how the two flipped. Jeongguk trashed his room... because you might not remember – I am going on a wild guess and say you were already in heat when you called Hoseok. But you did call, we witnessed how he screamed at the phone for you to reply. I don't know why but you muted him?” you could not remember having done such a thing, your phone had been out of battery and you had never checked your last dialed numbers. It wasn't quite a habit to check and you rarely called anyone anyway. Preferred short texts over phone calls. “It was a mess and did cost quite the fortune... I think at some point Yoongi was ready to faint...” the second eldest was the one that managed the money of the pack. Usually each would contribute parts of their salary into the joined account of the pack. That way food, furniture and everything else needed for the apartments would be paid for. Yoongi was managing that. You could imagine his face. “If Hoseok was scary to watch, Jeongguk was a walking horror movie. He picked Tae up and threw him...” your eyes widened, poor Taehyung. “He apologized later of course and Tae didn't take it that bad. But we had no idea what was going on...” Jin's brown eyes were now watching carefully for your expression. So far you had followed his story, had not asked anything. But he could see something, a small sliver of the old you. The one who was unconditionally in love with Hoseok, warm, cute and glowing. The current you was a shadow of what you used to look like and be like, even if you were still as beautiful as Seokjin remembered. You just lacked something and he was more than just convinced that it was the other two. “That was when Namjoon decided enough was enough and looked for a professional. You remember Ji-ho?” you nodded. He used to rap with Namjoon in the underground, calling themselves Zico and Rap monster. At first you had laughed at the ridiculous name, but hearing Namjoon rap, quickly did teach you respect for the art. “He knew someone from the underground back then, who had a degree in psychology and worked in the bureau. Turns out Namjoon did know him too, an old friend of theirs. Anyhow that's how he learned of the double imprinting, it happens really rarely. Only four known cases, so far....” that just sounded to good to be true. It was impossible for you to be such a rare case, even rarer than the re-imprinting. It just felt too good and right, to not be alone anymore, but have a chance of happiness like that. The mere thought of being able to be with Hoseok and Jeongguk again, as you had almost half a year ago, you were too afraid of that hope. Large hands cupped your face and made you look at the older Omega. “I know you're afraid, but please give it a shot. Not just for them, but for yourself. We miss you, we love you.... we tried so hard to find you and.... I don't wanna go back to a time without my best friend... There is no one else I can complain to about my idiot of an Alpha....” the last bit was meant as a joke, but only made fresh tears spill down your cheeks. You had missed him too and the others of course as well.
”She is willing to talk to both of you, but I swear if you hurt her Hoseok. I will make you wish, you hadn't been born...” the threat wasn't as empty as it usually would have been. Seokjin did mean it as he said it, he would kick Hoseok so hard he would taste Seokjin's shoe in his mouth. He handed the key for the apartment to Jeongguk and reminded him to watch Hoseok, calling Taehyung an overexcited puppy could pale in comparison when seen Hoseok sometimes. The young adult took the key nervously and nodded at the older's words. Both leaving the group for the apartment across the hall. “You think this is a good idea?”, “It's the only idea I have...” Seokjin leaned into the back hug of Namjoon. Letting the taller one rest his chin in the hollow that connected his shoulder with his neck. “God I hope we never get that complicated...” Yoongi rolled his eyes at the whole situation, leaning back in the couch he closed his eyes. With no doubt he was probably already in the process of falling asleep. Jimin giggled next to him, just used to his mate's antics. Taehyung already in a deep conversation with Mark and Jaebum about Jaebum's mate and how they'd all found one another to form a pack. He was always easy going and quick to make friends with everyone. In front of the other apartment the atmosphere wasn't as easy as it was in Jackson's home. Jeongguk was nervous beyond belief and Hoseok just simply hoping to mend everything and finally have you back in their lives. You on the other side of the door were a nervous wreck. On one hand you wanted nothing more than to hug both of them, kiss them and just be part of their lives again. On the other hand you were terrified of not being enough again, of going through six months of withdrawal again and be as helpless as you had been five months ago. “Here goes nothing...” with those words Jeongguk inserted the key into the door's lock and turned it to the side. At the same time his clammy hand curled around the handle and pushed it down. The door swung inside and open, letting in the two males. You were in the hallway, fingers playing with the hem of your oversized sweater. You had thrown it on once Seokjin had left you behind, somehow to recreate some warmth you felt lacking. You could never get really warm ever since your departure from the pack anyway. Heart hammering in your chest up to your throat on the sight of the two young men. From the looks of it, they didn't seem any better. “I.... I....” Hoseok didn't know what to say. Not when you were just a few meters away, when he could walk over and just pull you into a hug. His skin was itching to feel you in his arms again. But you had flinched at his touch before and although it broke his heart, he stayed where he was. Jeongguk on the other hand was less in control than Hoseok was. He was still young in rank and more of an Alpha than an Omega character wise. He didn't say anything but simply ran towards you, almost knocking you off of your feet.
His arms were quite strong and wrapped around you like a vice. His face was pressed into your neck and his breathing slowed down. “I am sorry for what happened, it was never my intention....” he whispered. But you knew as well as everyone else, it wasn't his fault. None of this was any of yours, because you couldn't have known. It was thanks to devoted friends, that you could find a solution and hold the two most important people in your life again. Jeongguk had broken the whole awkward tension without noticing it, maybe patience wasn't always the best to begin with. Hoseok didn't know wether to join or wait, but you extended your arm and hand for him to take. As Jeongguk wasn't going to let go of you any time soon. The older Alpha wrapped his arms around you and tried to also include Jeongguk – his arms weren't long enough but you guys made it work somehow. “I missed you and I still love you as much as I did before.... we just seem to have too much love....” a small smile graced his features, it wasn't yet the radiant sunny one you were used to. But you were sure you guys could work back to that. “I missed you too.... and yeah seems like it....” your eyes fell to the top of Jeongguk's head. He lifted it with all the attention on the back of his head. Looking you right in the face he was biting on his lower lip, it was truthfully adorable. “I....” he blushed a little. It made you wonder what he actually wanted. Tilting your head to the side, you watched as he looked over to Hoseok. The Alpha just laughed. Heart fluttering at the sound of his laughter, reminded you once more of how much you had missed him. “You don't need to ask... she's as much yours as she's mine and you are ours...” without any further explanation, a hand curled around the back of your head and pulled you forward. Lips nestled against yours, it was surprising but you quickly kissed him back. Eyes falling shut, as you felt Jeongguk prod with his tongue against your lips. Granting him passage to your mouth, he asked for a little tongue fight. Wouldn't be Jeongguk if he wasn't challenging to win. Once oxygen became a problem you parted, chest heaving and brushing against Jeongguk's with each intake you were flush cheeked. “You learned some stuff.... huh....” he smirked slyly, a 180° change from what he'd been like just seconds ago. “You get whiplash from that kid...” Hoseok said and let his fist come down on the other's head. It was a soft bonk that did nothing but annoy Jeongguk a little. “Look who's talking....” he muttered underneath his breath. You only smiled at the two. Now it was Hoseok's turn to kiss you, his hands held your face like Seokjin had just minutes ago. It felt like ages. He didn't kiss you as Jeongguk had, not with an urgency of a storm. But rather inched forward slowly. His nose brushed against your, eyes falling shut as you shared a breath for a few seconds. And then they pressed on top of yours. Little butterfly kisses over and over again, before he decided he wanted to taste your mouth again. Six months were too much and somehow you felt overwhelming to him. Like a drug he's been withdrawn from and was now full force experiencing it's affects.
Hoseok had texted the pack that everything was fine and they could leave for the apartment first. Him and Jeongguk wanted to help you pack, find a schedule that would still allow you to work with Jackson. Although the latter had agreed to let you go, since you were an actual certified midwife and all. But you had learned to love the bar, as much as you had learned to love the boys who ran it. They were as much your family as Namjoon's pack had been. That night though you did nothing but lay on the bed in your bedroom, with Jeongguk to your right and Hoseok to your left. Light brown hair framed Hoseok's face as he smiled at you form beneath his lashes, pressing tiny kisses to your neck, cheek and forehead. Sometimes even your hair or the top of your head. While Jeongguk had curled himself around you, arm thrown over your mid, head on your chest and leg across yours. It felt like he tried to tell you physically that you could not run from them ever again. Not that you were planning on anyway. Things had turned out good for you and you were appreciating the twist life had given you. It had shown you how important they were to you, how much talking could have solved and that jumping to conclusion had only hurt everyone around you as much as it had hurt you. You still had a lot to learn as an Omega and girlfriend to two hot headed idiots. Not like you were any better. Closing your eyes though, you felt at ease having the two with you and your pack back in your life.
