Chapter Text

In the glimmering depths of the cosmos, two bright shining lights darted through the starry expanse. They would occasionally brush along a surface, sometimes leaving the depths of twinkling darkness to enter bubbles. Eventually the twin stars would dive into the void again, continuing their seemingly aimless wandering. The pair tethered together and never strayed far from each other. Always in unison in their plunges and pace, intertwined in their fates.

As they traversed the sea of stars, a sound beckoned to them, echoed by a cacophony of voices in unison that called out to them. A summons.

Two stars fell into a new world with glitter and light trailing after them and a bright, blinding golden light. Like a taut line dragging them out of the murky cosmic ocean, reaching out and tugging them a caressing embrace. The world welcomed and pulled for them, swaying them to answer the call, a plea for power and aid.

While one star jumped out of the starry depths with enthuse, the other was tugged along reluctantly; if not to fall out of orbit, out of the grasp of the first star.

Aether and Lumine stepped into the world as one, hands clasped together and greeted by hushed awe and eyes shaped like twinkling stars.

The sun shone bright overhead and the strong coastal winds roared in contrast to the gentle ocean tides oscillating along the sandy shores.

The cool ocean breeze was a welcome reprieve to Amber, a reward perhaps for her long solo patrol. Resting in the shade of the Stormbearer Cliff the young knight admired the sight of the deep blue sea, a rare sight for her.

Despite being part of the Outrider division, her patrols rarely took her this far from the city and it was a welcome reprieve to her mind and body. With the tense situation in Mondstadt as of late, this was likely the closest to a brief respite she would be able to have anytime soon. Amber was due back to the city by the end of the day so she would eventually have to make the route back.

Pushing off from the sandy ground she had been seated on, scattering grains everywhere, she stretched towards the sun above in preparation to continue her route back to the city. Shaking off residual sand clinging to her, Amber began trekking toward the forested area bordering the cove when the sight of two figures heading toward her from said forest greeted her.

A taller woman, light brown tied hair adorned with violet witch hat and outfit and an amused smile on her face, trekked down from the forested path onto the loam barrier between sand and soil. A flamboyantly dressed person with navy blue hair tied back and an eye patch doing little to impede the smug smile stretched across his face.

The latter gave a half hearted salute, “Ah if it isn’t our dear Captain Amber. Perhaps the winds are shifting in our favor for us to stumble across you out here.”

Amber felt her eye twitch and mentally reminded herself that captains did not rise to jabs. She bent her arm inward and then out in the standard salute as per the knights official handbook (fifth edition) conduct, “Captain Kaeya, Librarian Lisa. I wasn’t expecting to run into you two out in the field.”

Said librarian had a twinkle in her eye that betrayed her amusement, “We aren’t here on official business if that’s what you’re wondering. Though I did let Jean know before leaving, which led to Kaeya accompanying like the gentleman he is.”

Kaeya smiled with an easygoing air and a flourishing hand motion wholly unnecessary, “Far be it for me to let a dear friend to venture alone in such tumultuous times, even one as capable as Lisa.”

The head librarian chuckled good-naturedly, "Ever the polite Calvary Captain even when there's hardly an audience to witness your charm." The woman's eyes glinted sharp as steel, "Though we are on a mission, personal sabbatical on paper of course."

The eye-patch adorned man shifted his arms, crossing them over his chest, “Given the delicate and precarious situation, our dear Lisa is here proactively seeking something that may be a lead in resolving our predicament.”

Amber tilted her head, “A lead? What kind?”

Kaeya gestured to the very beach Amber had just been resting at, "Why don't we walk and talk, day light is burning and I'm sure we all would prefer to make it back to the city before nightfall in any case."

The three began trekking along the coastline and cliffs as Lisa spoke, "The Knights and Church have had their hands managing things as best they can back in the city, but tensions are coming to a breaking point. All of this negative energy in the air is killing my complexation, so I started to do some digging on my own."

Amber understood the implications behind the mage's lackadaisical words and bit down her worry, "And you found something worth coming out all the way out here?"

The older woman hummed as she started staring at the cliffs with particular intent, "It was scattered and nothing as concrete as I'd like but there was records indicating some ancient ruins in this area that could hold information on dragons. Particularly very ancient dragons, dating back thousands of years even."

Amber nearly stumbled over the strewn rocks, "Ah- you mean-"

Kaeya offered a hand to steady her that she waved off, "Indeed. Sounds a lot like our own Dragon of the East, Lord Stormsong does it not?"

Lisa began walking closer to the cliff face with the two following suite, "Precisely why I felt it prudent to locate such a potential trove of knowledge, and how it may shed some light on the state of things back home."

The outrider captain hummed, "An untouched and unmarked ruins in these cliffs would make sense, no adventurers really venture here to the cove."

The rocky cliffs towered like harsh, jagged walls with little visual incentive or intrige for any adventurers. Though stepping closer to them, one would realize the depth of the numerous twisting crevices and canyons within said cliff faces. They were much more like miniature labyrinth mazes in how they circled around and led to dead ends, though one would easily traverse the way out with the winds guiding them back to the sea.

The three began poking in and attempting multiple different crevice entrances as the brown haired mage continued, "In any case, while this is a long-shot some of the knights are also investigating other avenues on their own. Albedo and his team has left for Dragonspine to do some research of their own, while Deacon Dahlia has been seeking more divine information. Last I heard, no news on either end."

Kaeya sighed dramatically from in front of Amber as they made their way down a particularly long path in between the rocky walls, "It seems even the Herald himself cannot grant us the answers up front. Though everyone is feeling the tension and mounting pressure as of late. The literal dour weather is certainly not helping the atmosphere back home."

Even with just the three of them, the imposing jagged rock walls felt claustrophobic and if not for the other two, Amber may have considered turning back from the unease that seemed to grow the deeper they delved in one of the long branching canyons within the cliffs.

Biting down the urge to turn tail at the growing sense of dread building in her, the outrider captain inquired, "Things haven't escalated in the city since yesterday have they?"

Kaeya's smile lessened, a dire sign of the severity of the situation, "No worse than they already were. Jean has been keeping things under control as best as they can be. Though it would be remiss of us to not try to find a solution before it blows over into a bigger mess." He sighed with a waning smile, "Of all the times for most of the Knights to still be away on the expedition."

While Amber would not voice such things aloud, she couldn't disagree with the calvary captain's thoughts. It truly was a terrible time for the grandmaster and so many of their knights to still be up north with no imminent return.

Whatever direction their conversation was heading was naturally cut short by the sight that unveiled before the three. A large sharply angled carved stone doorway lay before them in the vertical rock face. The familiar yet slightly different features and markings indicated clearly the prize uncovered before them, wind distant and muffled yet still audible behind them.

"An undocumented ruin, nestled among the sheer rock walls and the breeze of the ocean?" Amber murmured in surprise at he sight of the domain entrance.

Lisa murmured as her eyes scanned the ruins entrance, “The entrance is quite hidden but even so, the chances of it not being discovered before or by chance is peculiar."

A nagging suspicion crept up Amber's throat and she spoke before fully processing the words, "Do you two feel a sense of needing to go back the way we came?"

Kaeya's eye darted between herself and Lisa before admitting, "Indeed, I found it strange so I pushed through it but if all three of us feel the same sensation..?" His eye glanced over to Lisa.

Lisa nodded with a pensive look and bringing a contemplative curled hand to her chin, "Likewise for me. Very peculiar indeed, could the ruins themselves be emitting some sort of mental effect to ward off people? If so this is something unprecedented…"

Despite the strong, external mental sway, none of them hesitated before continuing toward the source of that unnatural uneasiness. The doorway to the ruins stood tall and visibly weathered with age, the carved stone weary and full of wear and tear with its rough surface.

As the three approached it, the doorway's faintly glow flashed blue before the entrance opened its maw.

Exchanging shared looks of determination, they all stepped into the domain

Entering the forgotten ruins, the enclosed stone walls that now surrounded them has numerous carvings and designs of elegant design patterns, all lit well by the light coming from above. Numerous plants crept over walls and pillars alike, giving a pop of vibrant green to the otherwise gray and blue stonework.

The three stepped deeper in, Amber alert and cautious but curious despite herself. While not part of the Adventurer's Guild herself, she was no stranger to exploring ruins or other places of interest. While she could not verbalize nor specify an exact reason, the atmosphere carried a weight to it that was unlike anything she had felt in domains past. It reminded her of entering the Favonian Library on days when some poor soul had overdue books and one could practically feel the charged Electro in the air as Lisa went on the warpath for the perpetrator.

She best keep that latter comparison to herself lest she earn the ire of said librarian.

Reaching the other end of the room, the group paused at the closed door carved into the wall, their only path forward and deeper. The only other object of note being a elemental monument. The familiar sight of stone rising from the ground upward like a miniature column with out-strutting wing like aspects and the symbol of Pyro, the curled symbol resembling a flame, faintly glowing from its sides.

Kaeya lazily gestured at the inactivated monument, "If you could do the honors?"

Amber summoned her bow from her vision storage into her hands with a swift flourish, "Right."

Pulling back her string, she manifested an arrow of Pyro before releasing it at the monument. The moment it made impact, the dimly lit symbols shone red-orange like the fire they represented and a bright and vivid symbol of Pyro emblazoned hovering above the monument like a signal. Or a more literal signal as the door in front of them rumbled open with a aching groan.

The two knights and librarian proceeded into the next chamber, a room very similar to the previous. The other end of the room once again contained a door and elemental monument. The difference being in the element symbol on the monument: this time the curled, circular symbol of Hydro adorned the stone piece.

Kaeya tutted at the sight, "No dice it could be one of our elements."

Amber sighed, "I don't suppose you have a potion or something Hydro on you Lisa?"

Lisa smiled, "In fact, I do have something up my sleeve that could solve this problem."

The outrider jolted in surprise, "You do?"

The mage shrugged off the satchel from her shoulder before rummaging through it and pulling out-

"Varunada Lazurite?" Kaeya spoke thoughtfully, leaning in to stare at the newfound source of Hydro.

The oval gemstone in Lisa's hand was glimmering cerulean and multifaceted, a full crystal with considerable elemental energy contained within, the symbol of Hydro clear and complete inside.

Lisa hummed, "That's right. I wouldn't normally be one to use them in such an haphazard, crude manner but our options are limited so I am willing to make an exception."

Not as versed in alchemical ingredients, Amber inquired, "What do you mean by that?"

The librarian, gem in hand, walked over to the hydro monument, "Its simple, I'll show you."

And smashed the gemstone into the stone with a loud, jarring crack.

Amber bit down a yelp, jolting from the sudden act and sound, "Lisa!" The elemental monument lit up in kind, the symbol of Hydro blue like the deepest waters' depths. The door rumbles open in front.

Kaeya stood with his arms crossed in a faux lax manner and whistled short and sharp, "Always full of surprises aren't you?"

Lisa's tone is apologetic but her smile betrays her amusement, "Sorry about that Amber dear, there's your answer." The gem in her hand is cracked but still in intact and tucked away into the mage's bag.

Amber takes back everything she once thought about Lisa being less of a troublemaker than Kaeya, this must be why the two are friends.

The group treks onward, falling into a repeating pattern. New chamber, new element and either Lisa pulling out another elemental gemstone or the other two using their own visions to activate the monument totems.

Pyro, Hydro, Anemo, Electro, Dendro, Cryo, Geo.

After Lisa cracks the gem of highly concentrated Geo energy against the monument, the doorway opens as did the previous ones.

As they stepped into the next room, it was apparent that the layout was different. Rather than a single elemental monument at the far end of the room, there was a circle of them in the center of the room. The farthest wall did have a door embedded.

Upon inspection, all of the monuments were all different elements, one for each of the seven.

Lisa activates the Electro one but even as Kaeya and Amber follow suite with their own visions, the monument's lit symbol flickers before fading after seconds. This puzzle would necessitate activating all seven at the same time, a tricky task with just the three of them even with Lisa having every elemental gemstone besides Electro (in her words, why would she need a source of it when she had an Electro vision).

Kaeya is hunched over examining a monument as if it can be willed into a different element by sight, " Hmm well this is a conundrum. If we could set off three of them remotely then one of us could unleash two elements and the other two their own. Any thoughts?"

Amber contemplates before the metaphorical lantern is lit in her mind with an epiphany.

"I've got it!" she exclaims with excitement. Pulling and resonating with her vision's elemental energy, Amber outstretched a splayed hand and called, "Go Baron Bunny!"

Bright elemental energy bursts from her vision and shot out onto the floor, coalescing into a bigger mass and forming a shape of a creature familiar to all in the room.

With a surge of Pyro, a white and brown rabbit manifested into this reality, adorned with a red bandanna around the neck and small goggles on his head. Tense and ready for combat, the rabbit's intelligent eyes assessed the scene before visibly relaxing and taking a less battle-ready pose. He turned to look up at Amber inquisitively, though he must certainly picks up her ease and lack of stress.

Amber smiled and intertwined her hands' fingers together as the confirming signal that she was not under duress or in a hostile situation unable to be communicated, "At ease Barry, just hoping you could help out with a puzzle in this domain."

Baron fully relaxes and purrs in acquiesce, before hopping over to the other two's feet and honking up at them in fond greeting.

Lisa smiled down at the elemental rabbit, "Hello cutie, its a pleasure to see you too."

Kaeya bent over and reached down under Baron's chin to give those scratches that the rabbit adored so much much to Amber's chagrin, "Well met Baron, you're a sight for sore eyes in these dusty old ruins. Has Amber been feeding you enough? You look positively thin!"

Baron's eyes squinted in delight as his foot thumped rapidly on the ground at the scritches from the knight.

Amber groaned in exasperation and nudged Kaeya away from his petting much to Baron's mild protest, "Shush you. Barry we're going to detonate all seven elements with the corresponding totems, can you explode on the signal?"

Baron honked in affirmation as Lisa scanned the placement of the monuments' elements.

Pointing at the Pyro monument, the librarian spoke, "I have a configuration in mind. If Baron can cover Pyro, we could have gemstones for the adjacent Hydro and Anemo totems be set off at the same time. Though there would be an elemental reaction from the overlap, possibly more explosive than he usually handles." Lisa had a slightly pensive look and left it hanging at that with a look to Amber.

Amber gestured toward said totems as she addressed her companion, "Do you think you can bare with the elemental reaction bud?"

Baron nodded, the stalwart fellow he is, and hopped over dutifully. Amber would ensure that she spoiled him with some carrots and apples later for his tolerance of being exploded more than usual.

Lisa continued, "In that case, Kaeya and I can cover our respective elements. For the remaining two, that leaves you to unleash Dendro and Geo." The older woman frowned and looked to Amber, "It'll also likely cause an elemental reaction being so close, if you aren't comfortable we can work out a different arrangement-"

Amber shook her head, "No, its fine. As a Knight of Favonius I can handle a small scale elemental reaction. Plus Barry is handling it too, I won't back off when he is willing to do it."

Lisa nodded, "Alright then, we have our arrangement. Let's prepare before we execute."

The Hydro and Anemo gemstones were placed at the base of their matching totems.

Lisa and Kaeya waked over to stand by their respective Electro and Cryo monuments, catalyst and sword in hand and preparation to unleash elemental energy.

Amber stood between the two and across from Baron, at the Dendro and Geo totems with their matching gemstones in her hands.

Moment of truth.

Lisa eyes the arrangement before nodding, "On one, unleash the elemental energies. Ready?"

Everyone voices their agreement.

"Three." Baron's whiskers quiver in anticipation.

"Two." Kaeya shifts his grip, eye trained on his target.

"One." Electricity crackles in Lisa's hands.

Amber smashes both gems with all her might against the monuments. Bright bursts of green and gold overwhelm her sight and the miniature explosions sting her gloved hands as she jerks backward.

Still blinking away spots in her vision, Amber looks up to see all seven monuments lit up with colors and elemental symbols hovering above and the rumbling of the door opening in response. Kaeya is at her side with a hand on her shoulder steadying her, his normally smug expression replaced with a concerned frown.

Though her hands still smart, she waves him off, "I'm alright, thanks."

Kaeya does not seem convinced but thankfully says nothing. He keeps his hand where it is and she appreciates the grounding it provides as she gathers her bearings.

Amber looks across the room and is relieved to see Baron grumbling nosily in a sprawl near the Pyro monument, dazed as usual when unleashing his own explosive Pyro attack.

Baron grunts from the sprawl he was lying in, before leaping up and shaking himself furiously. The rabbit seems to have gathered himself as he hops right up to Amber with concern apparent as he nudges her with his snout.

The outrider scoops him up into her arms, letting him sniff at her in concern while relishing in the heft and soft fur of the rabbit, "I'm alright bud. Just a little dazed."

He growls at her but licks at her in between growls, displeased but relieved.

Lisa materializes next to Amber and hovers, frowning and with pinched eyebrows, "Do you need a minute sweetie?"

Residual energy buzzes through Amber still but she wills her arms and legs to not shake, taking a deep breath and exhaling, "No, I'm well as wind. We can keep going."

The two hover and fuss but concede after further assurances from her. Baron remains in her arms, happy as a Dendro slime planted in dirt.

Through the doorway they entered another room, one lacking a door on the opposite wall. A notable distinction in this room was the walls had numerous iconography carved into the stone, intricate images stretched across all four walls.

Amber pointedly does not groan at the necessity of solving another puzzle, though she physically deflates enough for Baron to wriggle out of her hold and onto the floor to trail ahead in a very scout-like manner (he was an honorary outrider for a reason).

"Now this is more promising than I expected." Lisa admits as she strolls over to one part of the walls depicting a long and scaled draconic creature alongside a symbol of Dendro. "These are clearly very old ruins and appear to match the information I gathered."

Kaeya hummed as he considered another iconographic depiction of a sturdy and spiked dragon with the symbol of Geo above it, " I would certainly concur, these seem to be on the right track of something that could help with our problem back home."

Amber's own eyes scan the room in one sweeping motion but halts and exclaims, "Look, over there!" Pointing for emphasis, she directs the two at a image near the door they came through. A familiar looking dragon with bird like talons, four wings and covered in feathers.

"Lord Stormsong." Lisa whispers with awe.

Kaeya sweeps the room with his eye with a contemplative glint, "Just what kind of place is this, not just Lord Stormsong's likeliness." He gestures to the next draconic figure to the right, "There is Geo, Electro, Dendro and so on. One dragon for each element. Yet I only recognize one, the Geo Dragon companion of Lord Rex Lapis in ancient Liyue from history books."

"There have been records of dragons of Electro, Dendro, Hydro, Pyro and Cryo in the other nations. Though none of these images seem to match the appearances of them," Lisa adds with a pensive tone.

Kaeya hums, "I suppose it may have been lack of knowledge. These are old ruins in Mondstadt, perhaps they did not have information on other elemental dragons' appearances from other parts of Teyvat and made their own impressions as fact?"

Shaking her head, Lisa responds, "That seems unlikely. Were the depictions more vague and outlandish, I could consider such an hypothesis. However these are specific yet grounded designs, like whomever made these was certain and confident. Though they may have simply been confident in information that was not accurate…."

Baron doesn't seem to make much sense of the walls and sticks by Amber with a curious look at their surroundings. As Kaeya and Lisa debate and discuss with a keenness and vigor she rarely sees from either, Amber's eyes wander along the artistic renditions of wind etched into the ruin walls.

The symbols' fluidity stand out among the other designs and markings, the outrider’s eyes trace their path as they convene from the walls into a cyclonic spiral formation on the ground. All swirling and meeting toward the middle of the floor where a seven pointed star lay at the end of the trail, lying right in the center of the room by her estimation. The star is enclosed in a set circle wrapped tightly around it like a defined border.

Amber’s feet have moved before her brain can catch up and squints at the center symbol, examining the symbol with a suspicion, the number of points standing out in particular.

Seven points on the star.

She looks up back at the numerous icons of each element on the walls.

Seven elements.

Seven elements into one…

"Kaeya, Lisa!" Amber shouts

The two's shoulders hitch and they turn towards her, caught off guard by her sudden exclamation as Kaeya speaks, "Amber? Are you okay?"

He and Lisa hurry over to Amber as if she is a wounded animal, but Amber does not let that distract her.

She looks to them both as she questions with fervor, "Did either of you see any other symbols in the other rooms? Anything that stood out?"

Lisa tilts her head, "There were some things though I did not pay them much mind since the monuments were the clear puzzle each time."

"Why do you ask?" Kaeya asks as he crosses his arms.

Amber can barely contain her excitement as she asks, "Were there any Omni symbols?"

Having backtracked to the room with the sole Geo monument, the three stand in front of the full wall that indeed has an Omni symbol etched into the stone.

The calvary captain steps closer to examine it closely, humming as he prods it gently with his hands, "It does appear to match the dimensions of the star in the room we were in. Perhaps if I just-"

Kaeya makes a small noise of surprise as a piece of the wall comes off from his jabbing, but keeps a strong hold on it despite the unexpectedness and collects himself fast.

"Seems like my hunch on the stone joint caving inward a bit more on the bottom and top was right on the mora, the leverage was enough for it to pop right out." The knight chuckles with a pleased grin.

They make their way back to the deepest chamber.

Kaeya places the formerly-a-wall-segment stone tablet onto the carved outlines that match its shape in the center of the floor, it clicking from the rocky impact. A moment of silence passes before the lines decorating the center circle floor glow brightly and the tablet suddenly sinks and drops into a perfectly fitting recess like a slotted key.

The floor beneath their feet shakes, causing all three to shuffle their footing as to not lose balance before it too begins sinking and much further than its smaller counterpart. Baron's foot thumps in surprise at the sudden drop but adjusts just as well. The circular segment of the floor becomes a descending platform as the ground swallows them, glowing lines lighting their way down.

"I'd call this excellent progress, good work Captain Feng~" Kaeya bows deeply with a playfully dramatic tone as Amber rolls her eyes in exasperation.

"Even in the wilds Captain Feng can't escape Captain Alberich's nonsense." She grumbles in feigned annoyance as she bites down the smile threatening to creep onto her face.

Lisa giggles at the two's banter as she bends over to give Baron some pets on the head much to his delight.

Soon enough the platform they are on comes to a stop and opens up to a spacious hallway rather than a room, one brightly lit by illuminating crystals and embedded lines on all surfaces. It stretches onward and ahead for some distance and Amber can see bright light at the end of it.

"Shall we continue on together?" Kaeya asks rhetorically with a flourishing gesture toward the hall.

Both Lisa and Amber nod and Baron honks in agreement, so with no arguments the four begin walking down the new path.

The blinding brightness intensifies before clearing as they breach the exit of the hallway, and now enter the light and a much larger room.

Before them the stone underneath their feet turns to green, not grass but rather moss covered dirt. There was a slight incline to the mossy ground as it starts sloping upwards slightly into a miniature hill. Almost like a beacon, a splash of contrasting colors draws Amber's eye.

Laying neatly among the moss was a figure adorned in white and with a tangle of pale golden hair splayed among the vibrant green flora. They lie on their back with a serene, peaceful expression and eyes shut. Their arms and legs rest to the side, and they appear unconscious and with no indication of stirring despite the entrance of the group.

It was a picturesque scene, something out of a fairy tale book yet somehow sitting before their eyes.

Amber darts up the hill and kneels at the person's side, checking their pulse and breathing with pulse pounding loudly in her ears. She breathes out in relief upon feeling a steady pulse and puffs of breath coming out of the nose.

"Oh thank the Archons." She sighs and physically deflates from the sudden adrenaline rush and scare, "They're alive and seem stable, though I'm no healer or doctor."

Baron, likely having been right on her heels even if he cannot contribute much for a possible casualty, is by her side sniffing curiously at the stranger.

Lisa and Kaeya rush over to join her by the mystery person's side too.

Kaeya bends down and scans them with a focused look, "They're alright? I don't see any injuries or what could have caused them to fall unconscious."

Lisa hovers though stays standing with a concerned expression, "Hm I don't sense any elemental imbalances or surges in here. If it was magical, it likely has lost any traces by now."

Kaeya muses, "An adventurer, this deep into the ruins? Did they get past all those puzzles only to collapse here?"

"I can't imagine anyone else coming to such a place," Amber agrees. Baron honks but she doesn't pay it much mind despite the strong curiosity in the rabbit's tone.

The calvary captain stands up and scans the room, "There are no other doors or entrances from the looks of it. How peculiar…"

Amber is swatted with an insistent paw as Baron interrupts with a loud growl, forcing attention to him, "Ah! What is it Barry?"

Baron grumbles in an annoyed tone and sniffs at something resting near the slumbering person's shoulder and head.

What Amber had subconsciously mentally catalogued as a stray rock or piece of debris appeared to be a smooth oval shaped object. It was an ombre deep blue, almost black in darkness with lighter shades blended in and tiny white twinkles like stars in the night sky speckling it.

"What is that?" She reaches out to touch it and the moment she makes contact, darkness rushes out like a visual explosion, startling her into falling backwards from her crouched position.

The ball(?) rises up into the air like an Anemo slime (without the inflating mass) and surrounding it like an cloud is stars and darkness? If the night sky were given form as thick mist, surrounding the orb(?) like flames engulfing burning wood.

Everyone seems frozen in place as the object just hovers in the air before a bright four pointed star icon materializes at the top and two white orbs appear just below that. Two bright orbs that disappear and reappear in synchrony. Almost like…blinking?

The apparent eyes of what is some sort of unknown creature rather than an unknown object, blink at Amber. Then the seelie(?) turns its body to gaze at Kaeya and Lisa before landing on Baron.

The rabbit's eyes are perked up and toward the strange creature and he stands on his hind legs to sniff at the floating being.

Unbeknownst to everyone currently captivated by the odd sight developing before them, the formerly still body lying beneath the floating creature begins to stir as bleary golden eyes flutter open.

Notes:

Welcome to my take on Genshin's story with some AU spins and elements of my own that shall be seen here and as the story goes!

I use the word rewrite because it seems the most apt way to describe this story but I have all the respect and appreciation for the game and its canon!

This is simply my spin on it and how I would write it and the ways I want to explore and develop the world, characters and story.

If you are interested, then buckle up because I plan (very ambitiously I know) to go through the story, particularly the Archon Quests. And hopefully cover as much of the other quests and events as I can!

Please let me know what y'all think!
