Chapter Text
Chapter 1
Till was at the studio practicing on his guitar. It was late at night, and he had just finished a gig. Normally, he would've gone home with his band mates, but there was a certain someone he wanted to see, Ivan. Ivan was one of the assistants in the studio who worked nightshifts since he had severe insomnia and couldn’t sleep at night, so gradually he and Till started to have a small connection after performances.
“I’m so tired..I think I overworked myself tonight.” Till stretched his body and yawned, putting his guitar down on the guitar stand. He started looking around for Ivan, feeling his heart race at the thought of seeing that boy. Till tried to keep his cool as he saw Ivan putting away the equipment from tonight's performance. He quickly fixed his hair in the reflection of one of the windows and walked over to Ivan. “Hey, Ivan.” Till said in a relaxed tone. The black haired boy looked up and gave a soft smile. “Till! Your performance was awesome tonight.” Ivan stood up and ruffled the gray-haired boy's hair. Till slightly blushed at the comment, but continued to remain relaxed. Well, not really, on the inside, Till felt like his head was gonna explode.
“Thank you, Ivan. But I feel like I could do more. I still need to improve on vocals and guitar…” Till has a habit of putting himself down when he feels unsatisfied, and it didn’t take Ivan that long to catch up on this habit.
“Till. That's not true. You’re a really good singer and guitarist. I’ve never seen someone so passionate about music like you.” Ivan always says the truth which Till really likes about him. Ivan has always thought that honesty is very important, and he really hates it when people are dishonest and lie.
Till's face turned red, he looked away, all embarrassed and flustered. “How can someone just say these things so easily? Does he realize how good he is with words?!” Till thought to himself. While Till was busy in his own world, Ivan leaned closer to his face, slightly tilting his head.
“You okay, Till? Your face is red as a tomato. Do you have a fever or something? You should really go home.” Ivan said, clearly worried about Till's health. Till looked at Ivan, noticing how close their faces were, only a few inches away from each other's lips. “I..I’m okay! I just think I’m just stressing myself out too much.” Till made an excuse so he wouldn’t expose himself.
“Well…I noticed that you always stay back now instead of going with your bandmates recently. Are you only staying back just to practice, or…is there another reason?” Till froze. Was he really that easy to figure out? Is Ivan aware that Till has feelings for him?.
“I’m just staying back to practice a bit more, Ivan…You know I want my band the be the best.” Ivan smiled, admiring Till's determination. “Yes, I’m aware, Till. I think it's adorable.”
Till’s body started to heat up in embarrassment as his heart started to race at the same time. “He's such a tease..I hate him.” Till thought to himself as he let out a small breath. “Oh shut it, Ivan.” Till rolled his eyes, pretending he didn’t like the compliment.
Ivan chuckled and pinched Till’s cheek, then he fixed his posture. ‘Well, I have to continue cleaning or I’ll get in trouble. You should go home and get some rest, okay?” Ivan groaned in pain as he stretched his body and laid one hand on his waist.
“Fine…I’ll go home so you can stop complaining.” Ivan hummed satisfied at Till response and patted his head. “Good night Till, rest well.” Ivan walked away and continued to put away all the band equipment. “Good night, Ivan.”
