Again, Selie convinced herself it’s over, Meara’s gone, and she wanted to move on, though it’s hard to accept but either she let go, or grow old with that burden heavy on her shoulders.
This relationship was built of regrets, Selie herself feed on those regrets— of not being there in time, of not staying — to live; her husband, thrives on the regret of fear, fear of scaring her way, fear of leaving her alone, fear of making her doubtful of what they’ve had.
