“Cut the act, Alastor.” Charlie gritted her teeth. “Why are you really here?”
He smiled again, but this time, hid his teeth behind a quiet curve of the mouth.
“I told you,” he crooned softly for a moment before ratcheting the energy back up to a ten. “Sheer, absolute, boredom! I have been watching you struggle to assist these undeserving gutter scum all morning! What inspiring and hilarious foolishness! My dear, you’re my new favourite show.”
