Paul found his own small smirk growing into something broader and he raised his eyebrows as he shifted, feeling Daryl’s arms flexing against his calves, the press of something firm between his crotch and Daryl’s body.
His voice lowered, lips curling around the words as he said, “Is that a crossbow in your hands or are you just really happy to see me?”
Daryl snorted out a sound that was as close to laughter as the man ever seemed to get. He gave another shake of his head, bangs shifting with the momentum. But his met Paul’s gaze again when he was done, jutting his chin out and huffing out another breathy sound.
“How ‘bout I pull the trigger n’ you find out,” Daryl suggested.
