▪︎ So, he's not my OC ▪︎
Shang Qinghua, as the Author of PIDW, despite all the hated comments he received and all dumb plots he wrote to his harem fiction, he still loves his work very much.
At least, he had created Mobei-Jun, everything of him was tailored to his tastes of a Male Figure. His favorite OC, even though he's only a supportive character.
On top of that, he owned, or more like be owned by, his Male-god OC. What a fantasy dream!! It had to be a dream come true, right?
He had played favorite (a lot) to Mobei-Jun and he acknowledged it proudly.
Even, Mobei-Jun is always violent, indifferent, and unreadable, he’s always strong, powerful, handsome and loyal.
Shang Qinghua thought he knew everything of Mobei-Jun since he was the one who created this male-god OC with his own hands.
He thought he shaped Mobei-Jun to what he became before they ever met in the PIDW world, the world he had written. Only after the interference of the Systems, the plots of the original PIDW was changed, the fates of all characters were re-written. And, nevertheless, he loves the new story too.
However, after their short, chaotic and mind-blowing visit to his own world –
Everything he believed had changed.
For a moment, he almost believed he might be a true god that shaped worlds. Since they now knew ‘PIDW’ was not a book but a real world.
But later, after things were settled after their journey to their world, Shen Qingqiu told him the truth. Not every detail, but enough for him to figure out all the secrets behind their fantastical transmigration experiences and the reality between those worlds.
So, none of these was a dream, none of these was just a fantasy in a book.
He's just a mundane who happened to have an unconscious ability to peek into another world. And by the power of the ultimate souls from another world, he once changed the fates of a world without knowing it. Luckily, he was told everything was good now.
But that’s not the point!! The POINT IS!!!
Mobei-Jun is not his imagination. Not a man or demon character created to fit his fantasy.
Everything is real, is reality. His Mobei-Jun is real.
This acknowledgment stunned him hard.

He cupped his chin, deepened in his thoughts. Didn't notice a huge, stoic shadow entering the room.
“You've been sitting at the desk the whole day. Yet, you are not writing anything.”
Mobei-Jun walked to Shang Qinghua and sat beside him on a low bench piled with soft cushions.
“Is there something wrong?”
He softly drew the little human into his arms.
There’s a faint worry hidden in his flat voice. Mobei-Jun had been clingy than usual ever since Shang Qinghua suddenly threw back to his world by the system. That sudden disappearance must have traumatized him.
Now Mobei-Jun will check on him every two hours. Hugged him tightly in bed, ensuring that he wouldn't slip away from his side again.
“Nothing?” Shang Qinghua blinked. He stretched his both arms and leaned against Mobei-Jun’s chest, the spot that belonged to him.
“It’s just… at first I thought I had to carry all responsible for you. Then, I found out things weren't the way I believed. But… in the end, I still feel like I should take responsibility for you…”
“..... for being with this Lord?”
Mobei-Jun's brow furrowed slightly. Puzzled. He could never keep up with the strangest thoughts of his human. Especially now, he knew the man was not even from this world, but another human realm far beyond any places he knew.
“Uhmmm ….. that's too, but more than that.”
Shang Qinghua shifted himself slowly in Mobei-Jun arms and looked up to his King.
“I think we were destined to meet. With the help of some ultimate spirits or not, you were you from the very beginning, with everything that suit my tastes. You are meant to be my favorite… as being Mobei-Jun”
He paused. A sincere and radiant smile on his face.
“And I think I like the idea of that.”
Mobei-Jun might not be his OC anymore.
But he’s Shang Qinghua’s (or Xiang Fei’s) Mobei-Jun now.
This Mobei-Jun will always be his favorite.
