Summary
Galinda Upland, a magic and architecture student at Shiz University, has never been one to have a lack of people around her. She has a gaggle of followers and admirers that meet her every need. She’s pampered, well taken care of, and…kind of unhappy. She has Pfannee and ShenShen, and Fiyero, but besides those three, she doesn’t have many people she can call friends.
Elphaba Thropp, a young demon, has no friends at all. She serves her purpose in Hell, which is basically being a glorified secretary. Just one of many. See, not all people who go to Hell are meant to be there, and it’s Elphaba’s job to sort those people out. Some people want to stay, others want to leave. It’s a fine job, but Elphaba is lonely.
A mishap in paperwork sends Elphaba up to the mortal realm, where she is now in the presence of Galinda Upland, missing Animals, a devious Wizard, and the journey that she'll find out that she's desperately been looking for.
