Summary
Following similar fanfiction ideas, in which Lucerys receives a second chance to change everything, this narrative is inspired by Chinese novels and shaped from that concept.
In the story, Lucerys volunteers to go to Storm's End to claim the support of House Baratheon. Unsuccessful, he sets off into the storm—only to be surprised by his uncle. A chase ensues, and he dies. This would be the end of one of Rhaenyra Targaryen's sons… But what if his soul simply refused the destiny imposed upon him?
His consciousness is taken to the court of the gods. There, deities discuss, rival, and dispute his future while young Velaryon watches in silence. A game will decide his path. The coin is tossed—and each pantheon weighs upon it as it spins in the void.
When it finally touches the ground, fate shatters. The gods grant him a second chance. Not enough to return before the usurpation of the throne, nor to prevent the fight in the Dragonpit.
Instead, Lucerys awakens moments before his own death — with thunder roaring, Arrax trembling beneath him… and the sky opening for the flight that would kill him a second time.
