It is a day like any other in Aiden and Jake's house.
Ever since Aiden broke up with James (both on good terms). and Jake getting over Tom. Jake and Aiden have gotten closer and sure enough, they started to develop feeling for each other.
As time went on, they eventually confessed to each other 3 months after All-stars. And has been living together since. On one particularly warm summer day. Aiden goes to his fridge in hopes of pulling out a tub of ice cream, go to the living room, and eat the ice cream as he watches his favorite musicals with his lover. But instead of finding ice cream... he finds absolutely nothing in the fridge apart from some milk, blueberry icing that jake usually uses for baking, cream, and a bottle of sparkling water.
Aiden just stares at the fridge annoyed as he slams the fridge shut. obviously annoyed. He then goes to Jake and asks if they could go to the ice cream parlor nearby and get some ice cream. Jake reluctantly accepts and the two starts walking out of the house.
As the two start walking. They take their time looking around the area. The local parks, the beautifully sculpted statues, and the sun that is way hotter than usual. As the two arrive. They see the said Ice cream parlor!
...Except it's closed. The parlor that Jake and Aiden walked 10 minutes to was closed. And as expected. Aiden starts to complain.
"Are you kidding me?! We walked ten minutes roasting our asses off for this?! What do you mean they are closing now out of all days!"
"Aiden... we can go to the supermarket and get some ice cream too you know..."
"But that's like another 10 minutes away... BY CAR!"
"...Fair point. Let's just... Uhh... Watch Hamilton without the ice cream...?" Jake says, attempting to calm Aiden down.
"Ugh... fine... but we haven't had ice cream in ages..."
"Well, do you want to drive another ten minutes in the car to get ice cream?"
"You know what. It's fine. Let's just walk home and watch Hamilton without the ice cream."
As Aiden finishes his sentence. The two start to walk home. Jake just stares as Aiden. He can clearly see Aiden's disappointment.
"Babe... Are you sure you don't want to drive to the shop and get some ice cream? I really don't mind." Jake asks.
"Yeah. Besides I don't want to be wasting your time anyways." Aiden says with a bit of guilt on his face. Thinking he already wasted 10 minutes of Jake's time walking out with him only for the parlor to be closed.
With that being said. Jake sighs and continues to walk with Aiden as they hold hands.
Jake can't help but feel bad for Aiden. He knew how Aiden was excited to go out and get ice cream together. Only for the place to be closed for some stupid reason. As the two walks home and Aiden goes to their shared room to find the DVD. Jake then remembers that their house has the ingredients for making ice cream! that includes milk, cream, sugar, vanilla extract and some Oreos in the cabinet as toppings.
He first takes out the ingredients and puts the milk, cream, sugar and some vanilla extract into the bowl and starts mixing before adding some crushed up Oreos and puts it in the mixture as well.
It didn't take long before Aiden called for Jake as he have found the DVD for Hamilton.
"Jakeeeee, I found the DVD! We can go watch Hamilton now!"
"Oh. That's great...! Can you give me uh, five minutes? I'm trying to make... something!"
"Awh... Ok, I'll go put the musical on!" Aiden says before happily shoving the disc into the DVD player.
Jake then quickly continues to combine the mixture and then places the bowl into the fridge. But when he does, he realizes something.
Ice cream takes hours to freeze before it actually becomes ice cream.
Jake then starts to panic. Because it takes hours, he will never be able to make the ice cream on time for Hamilton.
He then gets a (not so) good idea...

Jake is then shown tampering with the fridge as he tries to clean the coils of the fridge so the fridge would freeze faster (Which is pretty stupid because that would also take way more than five minutes.)
"God... How do I-"
Suddenly, the ice cream mixture gets knocked over and spills all over the fridge's electrical bits.
"...Wha-"
The fridge the starts to malfunction before making an explosion, blowing up ad permanently damaging the fridge.
Jake yelps as the small explosion burns his hand. And Aiden hears that.
"Jake? is everything ok back there?"
"OH- uh... Yeah! Everything is ok! You don't need to worry-"
Before he can finish. It was already too late. Aiden is now at the kitchen doorway looking at the damages that had been caused.
Jake just sits there next to the broken fridge and the spilt ice cream mixture. Which is everywhere along with the smell of burning wires.
"..."
"..."
"...What happened."
"Ok so... I tried to make you some ice cream with the stuff we had in the house. Then I realized that I wouldn't have had time to make it on time, so I tried adjusting the fridge for it to be colder then all of a sudden the ice cream mixture spilt all over the electrical bits and it just exploded and-" Jake couldn't even finish the sentence anymore. He could only look at Aiden as he tears up.
"I'm sorry... Please don't be mad I promise I'll-"
"Jake! Calm down! It's ok, Really. I don't give a shit about the fridge or the ice cream right now!"
"But I quite literally just blew up the fridge! That shit is going to cost hundreds all because I tried to do something nice for you yet I still fucked that up!"
"So?? Safety is first! You could've gotten seriously injured! We can worry about the fridge later. I'll go find the first aid kit instead."
"Okay... I'll stay here then..."
With that being said. Aiden immediately goes to find the first aid kit as jake rinses his burned hand with water. Sometime later Aiden treats his burns and wraps a small bandage around the burn.
"So... Do you want to go rest?"
"It's fine. I'm not tired."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah... My hand injury should heal soon anyways. We can go watch Hamilton now if you want."
"Well if it makes you feel better then... Let's go!"
The two starts to walk over to the bedroom as Aiden loads up the Hamilton musical. As it loads the two sits together in bed and Aiden kisses Jake on the forehead.
"I love you, Jake."
"I love you too Aiden."
