   “‘97 has been a disappointingly slow year for our local music scene, between Ray Garraty leaving The Musketeers and disavowing songwriting partner, Peter McVries in favor of a drugged out attempt at a solo career and Gary Barkovitch, as per usual, releasing a barley intelligible attempt at ‘music’ and dragging two genuinely talented musicians down with him. Maybe next year will be better, but if our music scene is in the hands of these two, I highly doubt it.”
