Chapter 1: That's not Strawberry juice

Chapter Text

Tim noticed how Jason was acting more strange then his usual self. More happy and energetic which made Him suspicious. So he decided to figure out what was wrong and accepted when Jason requested his help with a case he has was struggling with. Again very suspicious that he even asked in the first place.

He stayed over at Jason's apartment in hopes of figuring in out more easily. The first odd thing with Jason's apartment was he didn't have any water stocked up. Instead he had many bottles of strawberry juice.

Tim in his sleep deprived, but thirsty mind shrugged. He opened a bottle and took a sip from it. Since Jason's coffee supply was empty, but it tasted nothing like strawberry. When Jason noticed him he snatched the bottle away.

"Don't drink that" Jason hissed protectively.

"Is that blood??" Tim asked bewildered.

"You know what, if you are so thirsty I will get you a coffee, but don't drink that. That's evidence" Jason stated and left the apartment.

Tim hummed and looked back over the case again. He only realized the next day that, that many bottles of blood - especially disguised as a Strawberry juice bottle - was highly uncommon. Why does Jason have bottles full of blood? Where did they come from? Is he drinking them?

He checked all of Jason's safe houses, when he was distracted by beating a new crime lord into submission. Everyone of them had exactly one bottle of blood. Jason's Camara sightings brought Tim to one of the wearhouses. There was even more blood, some of it shined green. There was also a backroom that looked like a bedroom, with a strange thermos sitting at the coffee table.

It looked super mechanical which caught Tim's interest. He picked it up and looked it over. It had two buttons labeled capture and release. It glowed faintly green and had an almost completely scratched of F on the side.

"Put that down" One of Jason's goons demanded.

Red Robin smirked. "Tell me what this is for"

"It's a soup thermos, Red Hood favorite soup thermos. So if you don't want any trouble with my boss. Put it down" they repeated.

"Is this your room?" Red Robin inquired.

The Guy pulled out his gun and aimed it at Red Robin. "You are not welcome here"

"Fine, I will leave. Tell Red Hood he will get his thermos back if he explains all the blood" Red Robin smirked.

"What No!? You pesky bat get back here!" The guy exclaimed and started shooting at him.

Other goons who noticed the commotion also started to shoot at him and they were fucking live rounds. Shooting some of the blood bottles in the process and gracing his rips badly. He took a break on one of the rooftop near his nest. Jason landed on the same rooftop and growled.

"Oh hey Red Hood, did you get my message?" Red Robin asked a bit out of breath.

"Give him back" Red Hood demanded coldly.

"Your strange thermos?" He gestures to the thermos in his hand.

Jason tried to snatch it from Tim, but Tim dodged.

"Tell me why you have so many bottles of blood" Tim inquired smugly.

"That's none of your business replacement" Jason declared as he tried to punch Tim.

"Oh really? It would be a shame to accidentally press the release button" Tim responded, dodging and wincing at the pull on his injury.

Jason paused and glared at Tim from under his helmet. "Don't"

"Okay, then tell me what's up with all the blood" Tim questioned.

"It's... It's like medicine" Jason admitted uncomfortably.

"How many people did you kill to have a whole wearhouse of it?" Tim asked sternly.

Red Hood's eyes flickered to the thermos in Tim's hand. "None, no one died. Just give me the thermos back please"

Tim chuckled disbelievingly and winced again. "No one? That didn't fucking look like no one"

Jason lunched at Tim once more. This time hitting Tim's wound, making the thermos fall to the ground. It hit the release button. It's cap flew off and a glowing teenager crawled out of it. Jason immediately pinned the teenager to the ground.

"Ugh" The teenager grunted.

"Red Hood... Why was there a teenager in a thermos!?" Tim exclaimed bewildered.

"Oh hi new guy" The teenager greeted sleepily and looked at Tim with glowing green eyes.

"No, go back inside" Jason demanded coldly.

"Booo, you are no fun. Wait, is that the sky?" The teenager whined.

Tim picked up the thermos, before Jason could get his hands on it again. Jason glared at him, but didn't let go of the glowing teenager.

"So what's your name Thermos kid?" Tim questioned.

The Teenager tilted his head back to look at Red Robin. "I'm Danny and are you a vampire to?"

"What?" Tim asked bewildered.

"Hey Jason, when we are already outside couldn't we just go to the burger joint? The- Bat Burger I think?" Danny looked at Jason as if it didn't bother him at all that Jason was still pinning him to the ground.

"If you don't try to run away again" Jason grumbled.

Danny grinned. "You are just to clingy"

"Is Jason harvesting your blood?" Tim asked worriedly.

"Sometimes yes, but it's way better than being cut open again" Danny explained.

"He cut you open?"

"No, only the white ones" Danny responded sleepily.

Jason decided to pick Danny up and thrown him over his shoulder. "Give me the thermos"

"No. You have more than enough of his blood. Let him go" Tim demanded.

"Awwwe, you are so sweet" Danny cooed fondly, still hanging on Jason's shoulder.

"Give me the god damn Thermos" Jason held out his free hand more insistedly.

"No" Tim repeated.

Danny started to chuckle.

"This is not funny" Jason declared irritated.

"Sure, it isn't big guy" Danny petted Jason's back.

"Danny, how often are you trapped in this Thermos?" Tim inquired worriedly.

"Hmmm, everytime Jason leaves. Apparently there's a clown or multiple. So something about safety. Everything is always so fussy here. I think I flew against the glass tower once" Danny mused.

"Everything is Fussy because of how little blood you have in your system" Tim explained pointedly.

"Burgers!" Danny cheers.

"Then stop glowing" Jason instructed.

"Yay!" Danny cheered once again when a bright light washed over Danny's body. Revealing black hair instead of White, blue none glowing eyes and one of Jason's hoodies. While his glow faded completely.

"I am guessing you wouldn't leave this alone will you?" Jason asked.

"You trapped a fucking teenager, to harvest blood from him" Tim deadpanned.

Danny chuckled again.

"That's not funny" Tim declared and started to follow them.

"It was more like a trade. I hide Danny from the britches in White and I get his blood in return" Jason explained.
