Shen Wenlang said nothing, his pheromones joining Gao Tu’s. He simply placed his hands on Gao Tu’s hips in silent support.
“Now,” Gao Tu continued steadily, “either you sign, President Zhou, or we walk.”
Zhou Mingri spat venom.
“Do you really think you’re enough for such a high-class Alpha?”
“Do you think I care what you think?” Gao Tu shot back instantly. “I’ve been by his side for most of our lives. I know my worth.”
Gao Tu’s cheeks reddened as he placed a hand over his belly.
“I think your personal secretary will need a few months’ break this year.”
Shen Wenlang froze.
“You’re kidding me.”
Gao Tu smiled.
“I would never joke about this, Wenlang.”
“You’re already pregnant? In one go again?!”
“Yes,” Gao Tu nodded proudly. “The doctor wasn’t lying, we really are compatible.”
Shen Wenlang fell back on the bed, covering his face with both hands.
“Unbelievable… I really am cursed. Every time I hire a new secretary, they go on maternity leave immediately!”
