The last few days were weird.
Boosfer had spent the last week trying to do something, they could tell. It was obvious to them that the parakeet was trying to get the courage to ask them something, in particular, ask Kier and Dev something.
But what was it that got him so nervous?
Yellow convinced the red and blue dragons to not push Boosfer for an answer and let him tell them in his own time.
This had been going on for too long.
Another week passed by before Boosfer decided to tell them.
.
.
.
The four of them had just finished a manhunt for Kier and Dev's channel. Now the present members were scattered across their living room.
Yellow rested on the sofa next to Boosfer who was ranting about an idea for one of his next manhunts, Kier and Dev were on the bigger couch against each other watching in amusement as the green parakeet hybrid explained excitedly.
The surroundings were filled with their warmth, this was one of their unusual domestic moments together. Outside the sun shined bright and the leaves from the trees rustled with the gentle breezes.
The wolf hybrid opened his eyes, when had he closed them? When Boosfer suddenly stopped ranting and that look from before flashed in his face again. The one that meant he wanted to say something and didn't know how to say it.
But this was going on for a little too long and Yellowool didn't know how much more he could stop the duo of dragons' curiosity.
"Guys. If I ask you guys something important you wont laugh right?" Boosfer asked, voice small and unsure, The other three shared a look.
"Yeah sure, don't worry!" Yellow chirped from next to Boosfer.
"As long as you don't say some dumb shit."
"Bro Dev!" Boosfer whined annoyed but his act didn't last long and started laughing with the blue dragon. Kier and Yellow soon joined too, after they relaxed and stopped laughing the room felt lighter and inviting, it would be the perfect moment for the parakeet to tell what he has been holding.
Kier could tell Boosfer just needed a little push, a final reassurance,"C'mon Boosfer, we promise we won't laugh."
"Okay, okay. Ummm." Bossfer breathed out nervously, "Kier, Dev you guys can fly right?"
"Yes!", "we can." They both quickly replied.
"So can you..." Boosfer started his eyes darted across the room, never landing on any of them, "can you guys teach me to fly?"
Silence.
The room wrapped in a suffocating silence that wrapped around them like a weighted blanket. The other three people in the room stared at him in shock and surprise.
"I'll help you in any way I can." Yellow admitted as he got closer to wrap an arm around him, "since you know, i cant either"
Booster smiled genuinely at the wolf hybrid and turned to look at the duo of dragons who also were looking at him, but in disbelief. He quickly averted their eyes, anxiety unleashed inside of him.
"Wha- you cant fly!?" Dev exclaimed bewildered, Kier voiced his confusion too, "Boosfer, did you really think we would laugh at you for this?" The two shared a look before staring right back at the green parakeet who was now trapped in Yellow's arms, but he didn't seem so upset.
"Yeah, umm." He stammered, "I never had the chance to learn how to and you guys seem to like flying so much i want to try."
"Really?" Yellow said, his hand was now brushing Boosfer’s hair in a way he knew the other enjoyed. Boosfer hummed happily, "yes, really."
"Of course we can teach Boosfer!" Dev exclaimed. And after sharing a glance with Kier, the two jumped to the other two and landed right on top of Yellow and Boosfer who both let out light pained groans before the four of them adjusted to fit on the sofa.
"Dont you worry, Kier and Dev will help you conquer the skies!" Kier said.
"Dude.." Boosfer said exasperated, as he scowled at the sentence and the actions the red dragon committed. "What?" Kier asked innocently like he had done nothing wrong.
Boosfer sighed in relief, going boneless in their arms, safe in their embrace. A question clawed in his mind, and he craved to get an answer from the people he held closest to him. "What does it feel to fly? Like with your own wings."
Yellow sighed, drawing closer to the group, he couldn't fly, he couldn't give advice or answer questions because he didn't ever fly without being creative or with an elytra. So he did the next best thing, he provided comfort and stayed close being a steady presence for them, only for them.
Dev talked about his experience with flying, like how once he took off, it was like the gravity dissolved and you floated, you could move freely and effortlessly through the air, and how you could feel the wind and breeze as you soared across the sky.
Kier also gave his opinion about flying, like when he moved along the sky he couldn't contain the happiness inside of him, how he felt light and energised. About how he felt that nothing could contain him as long as his wings lifted him up, how you could see the world spread out below you.
Yellow noticed that while the two talked about the same thing Dev talked more about the physical aspect and Kier rambled more about the feeling of flying. He was sure Boosfer had noticed too.
Boosfer needed to fly, as much as he tried to excuse it. He craved to do it, his instincts screamed for him to join Dev and Kier in the sky, maybe he could actually do it now.
He had spent so long undecided, waiting for a moment to ask, hoping that they would understand. He wanted to fly as soon as possible, it was just one question that he needed to ask.
"Are you guys free tomorrow?"
