Work Text:
The episode started with Peanut Big Top and Sunny Side Up laying down under the sun, as Sunny laid down on her towel and put on sunscreen, and Peanut laid on her towel and put on sunglasses. "The sun is shining down on Lalaloopsy Land, which means it's time for the Lalaloopsy dolls to have some fun," I narrated. Squirt Lil Top came in from the left, riding her bike, and bumped away her big sister, which worried Sunny. Scraps Stitched 'N' Sewn set up a plant that ended up eating Peanut, and spitting her out into the desert as Sherri Charades was meditating there. "But the good times can't last forever, because when the sun sets, it's time for the moon to rise," I narrated as the sun set and the moon rose up. "Which, as everyone knows, means it's time for bed," I narrated, as Sherri gave Peanut a pillow to sleep on.
"And no one enjoys her sleep more than Furry Grrs-a-Lot," I narrated, as the camera panned over to her house, and transitioned to inside it, where Furry was snoring. Someone was shoveling dirt outside, and it took three hits of dirt on the window to wake up Furry so she could see what's going on. "Just when my dream was getting good," Furry said. Turns out, Dot Starlight was shoveling dirt with a tennis racket. "Dot Starlight, it's the middle of the night! What are you up to out here?" Furry asked as she got out and approached Dot. "Oh, hello, Furry! I'm planting a tree!" Dot answered. "In the middle of the night?" Furry asked. "No, in the middle of my yard," Dot answered, as she showed the map. "You couldn't wait for morning to do it?" Furry asked. "I could, but it couldn't work. You see, these are special moon tree seeds," Dot answered, as she poured the seeds in the hole, and showed Furry the seeds which resembled yellow crescent moons.
"These seeds will grow into giant trees, but only during a full moon," Dot said. "Oh, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! How can a whole tree grow in one night?" Furry asked. "I don't know! I never thought to ask!" Dot answered as she giggled, and covered up the seeds with dirt still in the wagon. "How can you grow in one night?" Dot asked the seeds, as she tried to listen to them. "They said it's a secret and they're not telling!" Dot told Furry. "Would you like a moon tree of your own?" Dot asked. "No," Furry answered as she walked back to her house. "Oh, please, here, take a seed! You'll be happy you did!" Dot said, as she put a moon tree seed in Furry's monster hoodie. "Happy doesn't come easy for me," Furry said. "All the more reason you should have your very own moon tree!" Dot said as she was spreading out dirt with a rolling pin. "Oh, fine, I'll take your seed! Now good night, Dot!" Furry said, as she walked away. "Good night, Furry! Enjoy your tree!" Dot said as she waved.
Furry went back to her house and put the seed on the floor, next to her bed. "Ha, moon tree seeds. What will Dot think of next?" Furry asked. Furry went back to sleep, and as she was sleeping, the full moon came out from the clouds and started shining on the moon tree seed. Roots, branches, and leaves sprouted out of the seed, and the seed ended up growing a tree which engulfed the screen. As Furry was asleep, one of the leaves tickled Furry's nose. "No! No! That tickles!" Furry said as the leaf tickled her. "Stop it, I said!" Furry said as the leaf tickled her again. Furry could then smell what was going on. "I smell wood," Furry said as she got up to see what happened, and noticed the moon tree actually did grow inside Furry's house. "Wood? Oh, crooked cucumbers! Dot Starlight! You and your plumbing moon tree seeds! There's branches everywhere! I can't see through the leaves!" Furry said out loud as Furry's house zoomed out. Leaves and moon tree seeds covered the screen to transition to the first bumper, where Rosy Bumps 'N' Bruises pulled up the blinds to watch the sun go up, which ends up turning into Feather Tell-a-Tale, who tried to tickle Rosy as Rosy ran away in fear.
"The moon is an amazing marvel, to the good dolls of Lalaloopsy Land. Even to Dyna Might, who's landed on the moon 3,422 times this year," I narrated, as Dyna Might was shown landing her rocket on the moon, and climbing down to the moon from her ladder. "Dyna Might to mission control, we have arrived safely on the moon!" Dyna said through her walkie talkie. "Good work, Dyna Might! Can we expect you back on Earth with those moon rocks soon?" Harmony B. Sharp said through the walkie talkie's speaker. "Affirmative, Harmony! Over and out!" Dyna answered, as Forest Evergreen was shown climbing down the rocket's ladder. "Wow, the moon's bigger than I thought!" Forest said as he got out of the rocket. "Do you need a hand, Peanut?" Forest asked, as Peanut was about to get out of the rocket next. "No thank you, Forest, I am a professional astronaut!" Peanut answered. Feather then got out and tickled Peanut, causing her to laugh a bit, then fall down the rocket's ladder and onto the moon. "I have just given the first tickle on the moon!" Feather said. "And hopefully the last!" Peanut told Feather.
"Okay, team, I know this is your first moon mission, so here's how it works. Forest, you and Feather fill the ship with moon rocks!" Dyna said. "Sounds easy enough!" Forest said. "And I can give Forest a moon tickle!" Feather said as she showed her tickling fingers. "Sorry, Feather, but that will have to wait until our mission is completed," Dyna told Feather. "But what fun is that?" Feather asked. "We're astronauts, Feather, we're not here to have fun. Right, Dyna?" Peanut asked. "Oh, we're going to have fun alright! We'll get to fly into that giant crater!" Dyna answered as she started flying on over with the rockets on her back. "Whoa! I'd rather take my chances with a tickle!" Peanut said as she took off with the rocket on her back, and ended up flying in a zig zag and crash landing into the moon crater, while Dyna Might landed safely beside it. "Found some moon rocks!" Peanut said from inside the crater.
"Oh yeah, this should be easy! Why don't you open the hatch and I'll fill 'er up?" Forest asked Feather. "No problem, Forest!" Feather answered, as she opened up the rocket's hatch, and Forest brought over a huge moon rock that's bigger than the hatch opening. Forest tried and ended up struggling to get the giant moon rock inside. "Pickles! Too big!" Forest said as he couldn't get it in. "I'm sure the mission wouldn't be harmed if I gave one little tickle," Feather said as she started tickling Forest, making him laugh. Forest ended up dropping the moon rock, which crumbled into smaller pieces, caused the rocket ship to tip over and fall, and caused Peanut to fall back in the crater. "Peanut, you have to stop fooling around! This is a serious moon mission!" Dyna told Peanut. "Oh, I'm serious, Dyna!" Peanut said as she got back out of the crater.
Forest lifted up the rocket ship and put it back in the upright position, putting it back hard enough that the ground started shaking, and Peanut lost her balance and fell back in the crater. "Ow. Found some more moon rocks!" Peanut said as she collected those. "What's going on over there?" Dyna asked, as she flew on over to Feather tickling Forest, as Forest laughed. "Guys, I like a good tickle as much as the next astronaut, but right now, we've got to load that capsule and get back to Earth!" Dyna told Forest and Feather. "Oh, we're sorry, Dyna," Forest said. "You can count on us!" Feather said. Forest and Feather loaded up the rocket ship with the remaining moon rocks. "Excellent teamwork! Close 'er up, Forest!" Dyna said, as Forest closed up the hatch.
"Look what I found!" Peanut said as she returned with a glowing green moon rock. "Um, we have enough moon rocks, Peanut," Dyna said. "But I bet you don't have one like this! I think it's kryptonite! Permission to load it into the spaceship, Dyna!" Peanut said. "Oh, okay! Permission granted!" Peanut said as she flew on over to the rocket ship and landed safely near it. "Easy, Peanut, it's pretty full. Maybe I should do it," Forest said. "I've got it, Forest!" Peanut said as she grabbed on the lever. As Peanut grabbed on the lever, Feather started tickling her. "Ha ha! Very important mission in progress! Stop! Oh, in the name of science!" Peanut said as she laughed. Peanut didn't pay attention, and ended up pulling the lever and letting out all the moon rocks that Forest and Feather loaded in the ship, covering Peanut. "Oh, poopity poop!" Peanut said, as the rock hit Peanut's astronaut helmet, which surprisingly didn't break it at all, as the scene ended there.
"When there's sun, there's a shadow, and no one knows that better than Charlotte Charades," I narrated as clouds were shown covering the sun. Mr. Funny's theme from the Mr. Men Show played, as Charlotte walked into the scene sweeping up some dirt, as the sun came out, causing Charlotte's shadow to appear on the white wall. As Charlotte got back to sweeping, her shadow got a mind of its own, and waved to Charlotte. Charlotte did some funny actions, including balancing the broom on her head, which the shadow copied. When Charlotte waved to the shadow, the shadow instead took its hat off then on again, as Charlotte was confused by that. Charlotte wiped her eyes to make sure she wasn't seeing things, then sweeped the shadow away with her broom, even though the shadow really disappeared because clouds covered the sun.
As the clouds moved away from the sun, Charlotte's shadow appeared again, this time tapping its foot, as Charlotte turned around and saw. Charlotte's shadow pointed her broom to the side like a sword, and Charlotte did the same, and she and the shadow both had a broom duel. Charlotte managed to win and take down the shadow, then did a handshake with the shadow as the clouds covered the sun again, making the shadow disappear. As the clouds got away from sun again, the shadow reappeared, and ended up kicking Charlotte and playing a horn at her. Charlotte found this whole thing funny nonetheless. In the second bumper, Confetti Carnivale tied Peanut's arm to the thing to pull the blinds up, which seemed to send Peanut up in the sky, but when Confetti pulled the curtain down, turns out Peanut became the curtain.
In the next scene, Allegra Leaps 'N' Bounds and Bea Spells-a-Lot were shown arriving at the beach, where Sunny, Peanut, and Berry Jars 'N' Jam were laying on their towels. "Ah, some friends getting together to enjoy a nice sunny day at the beach. What could possibly go wrong?" I narrated. Rosy was shown arriving with a very heavy bag. "Oh, hey, Rosy, you're here! Glad you could join us! Wow, looks like you have everything but the kitchen sink in that bag, not that you could really have a kitchen sink at the beach, though it might come in handy if you got sand in your flip-flops! What do you have in there?" Bea asked. "Oh, just a few small items! You can never be too prepared at the beach! Isn't that right, Allegra?" Rosy asked. "I am here to get some sun, not chitchat," Allegra answered, as she hammered in some wooden stakes so her towel won't fly away.
"I love sun, but not too much! You don't want to get sunburned, which is why it is important to protect yourself from the sun's rays! It's also important to protect yourself from an angry kangaroo, though I doubt we'll see any kangaroos here at the beach!" Bea said, as she got out the sunscreen, a bottle of water, an MP3 player, and a can of kangaroo repellent, the last of which she showed the viewers. "Do you want some sunscreen, Rosy?" Bea asked as she was putting some on. "No thank you, Bea, I already put on sunscreen! I hope five layers is enough!" Rosy answered, as she was shown covered all over in sunscreen, and put on a hat. "What about you, Allegra? You want to make sure to properly block out the sun?" Bea asked. "Will this block out your annoying chatter?" Allegra asked, as she put on sunscreen.
"I'm glad I thought to bring this beach umbrella," Rosy said as she put up the umbrella to lay under. Rosy laid under it, but started sweating. "Oh dear! The sun is much too bright! I'm going to need more than an umbrella!" Rosy said as she quickly built a beach hut and put a tarp above it. "Oh, you're building a beach hut! Can I come in?" Bea asked as she watched Rosy. "You can, but it's not finished yet!" Rosy answered, as she got out a ladder and more supplies and continued building it. "Don't you just love a beach hut? Wouldn't it be fun to sit inside? Maybe have some fruit smoothies, juggle coconuts?" Bea asked Allegra. "How boring! I just want to get some sun!" Allegra answered, as she lowered her sunglasses at Bea. As Rosy was building the beach hut, Spot Splatter Splash and Specs Reads-a-Lot arrived to take a look.
"It is so tropical! Makes me want to put on a grass skirt and do a hula dance!" Bea said as she watched the beach hut being built. "Did someone say hula? Good thing I have my ukulele!" Scribbles Splash said as she walked in, while Berry sported a grass skirt. As they hula danced their way across, Rosy put the door on the beach hut, completing it. "I can finally enjoy some time in the sun!" Rosy said as she entered the beach hut. Turns out, the beach hut she built is casting a shadow over Allegra and Bea's towels. "Rosy Bumps 'N' Bruises, now I'm in the shade!" Allegra told Rosy. "What's that, Allegra?" Rosy asked as she opened the windowpanes. "Uh, Allegra, we might want to move," Bea said. "This is my beach space! I am not moving!" Allegra said.
"I really think we should move before-" Bea said, as a big wave crashed on Allegra, Bea, and Rosy, knocking down the beach hut and leaving an octopus on Rosy's head. The octopus pointed to the sun, telling Rosy that she's under the sun. "Aaah! Mustn't be exposed to the sun's hot rays of horror!" Rosy said as she ran away from the sun and left the beach. "Rosy doesn't really like the beach! I don't know what she does like, actually! You know, one time, she told me that she liked-" Bea said, as the scene ended before Bea could finish her sentence. In the third and final bumper, Furry opened up the blinds and the bright sun shined on Furry and Dot as they tried to look away. Furry put on her sunglasses, but Dot thought of a creative idea, which was to "turn off" the sun as if it were a lamp, and just like that, the sun went away.
Scribbles played the ukulele, as Berry, Bea, Spot, and Allegra were all wearing grass skirts and doing the hula. "So, whatever you like to do in the sun, or the moon, or under the moon for that matter," I narrated as the day turned into night, and Dyna's rocket zoomed past the moon, then the camera lowered down to show the Lalaloopsies still doing the hula dance at night. "Remember, it will soon be a new day, and you'll get a chance to do it all over again," I narrated, as the camera panned over to Furry's house, which was now high up in the sky due to the moon tree that grew, and Furry got up as the sun rose up again. As Furry walked out of her house, she ended up falling out of it and towards the ground because of how high up it was. Dot, in a hollow inside the tree, saved Furry, but Furry wasn't too happy with her savior, as this crazy Lalaloopsy adventure ended here.
