Chapter Text
The Spacebridge stood tall in the valley, it provided Bee with good cover as he weaved through the scattered blaster fire. He was tasked with trying to shut the bridge down before it was able to transport the supplies and energon inside. Even though the Decepticons had all attention turned towards the bots out in the open, he made sure to stay close to the ground as he reached the unattended control panel. A good first step, now he just had to figure out how to operate the thing.
He began idly pressing buttons, watching to make sure nobody had noticed him in all the fighting. “Come on..“ He muttered to himself, slamming his fist against the controls. If Bee didn’t know any better he would’ve thought the panel was programmed in another language! ..Maybe it was a bit idiotic to sign himself up for this so quickly. He kept trying, feeling himself get more heated with each failed, useless attempt.
“Get away from that, Autobot!” A voice called from behind him, their shadow enveloping Bee. Barely able to react before feeling a servo grab onto him, he gritted his dentas at the pressure as Thundercracker lifted him into the air, his blaster aimed right for him. In an act of desperation, Bee hooked his pede behind the Con’s knee, making his stance falter. Bee took the chance, forcing his helm against Thundercracker’s midsection as hard as he could.
“You little slag-eater!” He yelled as he dropped the mini bot, pointing his blaster towards Bee. He quickly ducked behind the control panel, the blind firing just barely hitting him, his helm peaking up once the firing had ceased. For a moment, the two watched the smoke steadily stream from the control panel as a painful humming came from the machine. Bee peered back to the confused Seeker, his optics rotating between the Autobot back to the panel as he processed what had happened before turning to try and run. By the time Bee had realized, the machine erupted, launching them both out into the middle of the battlefield.
“Well, That’s one way to shut it down!” He joked to the Con, coughing the smoke out of his vents. Most had stopped the fighting at the sound of the explosion, some taking the chance to land a surprise hit, or get out of battle and evacuate before anything else could explode. A high pitched hum rang from the Spacebridge, smoke beginning to seep from it's few openings.
“FALL BACK!” Both leaders had shouted to their troops. Back on his feet, Bee followed the bots out of the valley. He halted, turning back to the Spacebridge. Most had listened and evacuated immediately, but despite the orders given, a few Decepticons still remained behind. A pair of Seekers had begun to unload the various tools and machines within the Spacebridge while two mechs argued beside the entrance.
“The whole thing is about to blow halfway back to Cybertron! Megatron ordered-”
“Megatron is a coward! If this energon isn’t going to Cybertron then we need it for ourselves!” Starscream shouted to the Con before turning to the others. “We need to get clear before it overloads! HURRY!” He commanded.
“I don’t think so!” Bee shouted to nobody in particular, racing towards the leading Seeker. Jumping onto his wing, he clung to the mech, landing weak blows against his shoulder pad.
"What are you doing?! Get off of me!" Starscream wailed, the impact leading him forwards onto the ground. Bee stabilized himself atop the Con and continued his assault until he felt Starscream's servo gripping onto him and throwing him over his helm. “Get away from me!” Starscream yelled, pulling himself back to his pedes. Bee landed with a thud, looking up on the enraged Con. “I’m going to take you offline, bug!” He watched the end of the blaster illuminate, pointed directly to his spark. Both mechs jumped at the loud slam as the Spacebridge’s entrance shut. Starscream, just as confused as Bee, ran towards the door trying to open it.
The tops of the walls glowing as it powered itself up. They watched as the light shot into the air, meeting into the middle of the bridge. The energon cubes and tools lifted into the air, being sucked into the portal forming above them. Bee felt himself pulling towards the wormhole above, quickly grabbing onto a nearby root buried into the ground.
“What’s going on?!” He called out behind him, only to find himself alone. He wasn’t sure where Starscream had gone, whether he’d gotten out or if he was pulled in. It wasn’t his job to worry, anyways. He had to focus on getting out of this. He looked around, desperate to find anything that could've helped him. All he could see was the blinding light of the Spacebridge's mechanisms. He suddenly felt the root shifted within his servo, “Nonononono please don’t-” He begged as the root pulled from the earth. Being shot into the gateway above him.
