It wasn't just because of other sinners and overlords, it was because maybe if Vox forced himself into redemption, maybe if he became- not enough to get into heaven, of course -a better sinner, nicer, softer, less horny, less egotistical, less manipulative... then maybe he and Alastor could have a chance.
