Max was not an attentive person by nature. and noticing some little things seemed like bullshit and melancholic stupidity for nerds who believed that "there is beauty in everything !" bullshit . But when you're sitting in the infirmary listening to the Bible being read to you, you just don't have a choice.
The medical center in this strange camp was just as he thought. A little medicine , more " holy ' things . icons , the Bible , and all sorts of other crap whose name Max didn 't know , and he wasn 't really interested .
Of course , Jagerman could have tried to get up and leave , but with a broken leg It was obviously problematic . If it wasn 't for that fucking leg he would have been able to calmly try to climb this Fence and climb back ( and it was lucky that he was clearly capable of this) into the free World , where there was air .. Less heavy .
- do you always have such heavy air ?
Grace furrowed her brows, closing the Book with a thud, clearly not happy that her reading was interrupted.
- What do you mean?

He said with feigned Innocence , pressing his hand to his heart , as if the idea that he needed to " improve " something was really stupid .
- How did you even get the idea that it 's " heavy air " here?
- Because I have a normal good life, not a " holy " life.
- ha - ha , very funny , max . What could be better than being close to God?
- You're not in heaven yet to be close to God.
- I will! As long as I'm alive, I can be in places where God can definitely hear me! Where I 'm close to him.

Grace was thinking that she would get up and go make a wallet, as who was he, how could someone like HE question her faith?! But after a few breaths, her holy rage began to subside.
- Don't be offended by the sinner, Grace, what can you take from me, I would be sinless only if I died before the age of ten.
Max tried to smooth things out . Ironically , it was usually others who tried to calm Max down , not him . he could say that he felt almost guilty, but Jagerman never feels guilty. Although if he made so many exceptions for -
- children are sinless until they are seven .
- I wasn't like that until ten.
- And what happened after ten?
Max is not used to having someone ask him about this age, of course his friends ( namely Kyle and Jason), seeing how he became much tougher after ten, tried to find out what happened , but them quickly got in the nose, for the first time .
