Yukio finds it in the middle of cleaning up their room. The paper is folded into a small square and crinkled all over, a sign that Rin had stuffed it into his pocket multiple times. If Yukio wasn't used to his brother's bad habits and his inability to take care of important things, he would have binned it. Instead, he unfolds the paper and gives it a quick skim. He is immediately hit with regret and wishes dearly that he had simply left it alone in the first place.
The note reads as follows.
Yukio, who has never wanted to have any stretch of knowledge regarding his brother's romantic interests, can't say he's exactly surprised by the contents of this list. Shiemi has always been an obvious one, and Suguro is far from a surprise either. (His brother's wagging wail and inability to school his starry-eyed expression give him away blatantly.) The rest of the note's contents make entirely too much sense just the same based on what Rin vocally considers attractive assets and how easily he falls for someone who is kind to him.
There is one entry that's making Yukio bore holes into the paper though.
"Nadeshiko-san? Really?" Yukio mutters under his breath, hit by a pang of exasperation over the fact that his brother had bothered to slot him in above Suguro despite not even having the courtesy to remember his name. Given their relative similarities in physique, and the way Rin has written the entry, Yukio understands perfectly well why his brother is crushing on the older man. Nonetheless, he finds himself feeling annoyed by the fact.
On Nadeshiko's behalf, of course. The kind, hardworking doctor doesn't deserve someone like Yukio's brother drooling over him.
Speaking of the devil in question, it is at this moment that Rin chooses to waltz into their room, chewing on the end of a popsicle stick that dangles between his sharp teeth as he speaks.
"Hey, Yukio! We ran out of snacks. Want me to grab anything for you at the—"
Their eyes meet over the paper. Despite only being able to see the backside of it from his perspective, Rin recognizes it at once—and lunges for it.
"GAH!! WHY ARE YOU READING THAT?! GIVE IT BACK!!!"
There is a momentary struggle. Although Yukio himself is eager to not to have this piece of paper anywhere near him, at the moment, he's unable to resist the opportunity at hand to pick on his brother. He twists and turns and generally gives Rin a hard time in a lecturing tone, much to his twin's growing frustration. Given the circumstances, Yukio can't find it in him to feel much pity for him. Instead, he hopes Rin takes this as a lesson to take better care of their shared room.
If he doesn't, though…
Well, perhaps it isn't so bad having this type of ammunition at his fingertips. It is a good piece of blackmail, and hopefully a good incentive to get Rin to stay in his best behavior. He certainly had a lot of people to impress.
(Unfortunately, Yukio doesn't think his brother will have that much of a hard time winning any of them over. In fact, he might just be better off using this list as a guideline of how to keep Rin out of trouble.)
