Aftermath of episode 7 Jax sat in the cold empty silence of his room, staring at the blank canvas of a ceiling hanging above him. Thoughts came and past inside his brain, none worth remembering or holding onto for long. A reoccurring thought was of the only two people who understand him, who used to understand him. The only two who ever tried to understand, gone, just like that. Kaufmo and Ribbit, a clown and a frog, a yin and yang, the good to Jax's evil. An imperfect balance of nice to mean was able to keep Jax from going abstract.
Another couple thoughts to flare up was of Caine, and his stupid idea of letting them have the notion of believing they had the chance of escaping the colorful, cartoony hell of the digital circus, and the fact he was right about it. Jax could open up his chest, take apart each rib and pour his bloody, still beating heart out infront of the chattering teeth just for him to freeze up or ignore Jax.
Of Pomni, how he had fucked up at the possibility of them being companions, how he shoved her away, how she deserved so much better then the comedic relief funny archetype character. Pomni was too much of a different archetype then he's ever saw, shes self-aware, responsive, too... HUMAN for the circus.
Of Zoobie, how he has acted towards them during their little beach "adventure," that he let slip just a little more then what he was meant for. They seemed to slither out of the grumpy model box Jax tried so hard to keep everyone in each adventure. Zooble was one of two, Jax's favorite people inside the circus, not just to mess with either. They knew how to fight back and didn't take his shit, knew how to put him in his place while still being under him.
Of that DESPICABLE Abel, no one trusts him when he points out Abel is so obviously a Lex Luthor in Superman's underwear. The hope that he handed out like candy on halloween to each of the awaiting circus members, just for hidden razor blades to be inside. That goofy face Abel had drawn on to be recognized by the cast that laughed back at them had made Jax want to rip off his wooden limbs and shove each and every single screw down his throat till it was shredded and raw.
The whiteness of the roof cut into a kaleidoscope of bursts of iridescent colors. Arcs and slashes of rainbow covered his irises as he was pulled into a schizophrenic whirlwind of colorful spectrums, shapes having the appearance of a familiar looking frog and clown who's names slipped Jax's mind as he spiraled. His ears rung and oceanic waves flowed against his eardrums like they wanted to burst straight through them into his brain.
Inside of the rabbit's mindspace, a patch of black filled his vision as his haze filled dream self walked towards the dark. His eyes burned from the prismatic colors, the bright small holes filling and retreating made him nauseous. As he stepped into the darkness the ringing stopped and his eyes calmed, his mind cleared.
All interrupted by a startling banging against his door. Jax was awoken from his episode, his eyes blazing, ears chiming, and his mouth drier than the Sahara.
"Jax?" A melodic bosom voice sliced through the cartoon walls. "Jax? Hello? I wanna talk to you!" Why couldn't Jax remember their name? He knew who it was, of course he did. But, his mind physically cannot grasp the name. The articulation sounded the same, he knew who is was, until the person continued.
"Jax, I get you might be angry but me and the rest of us are... worried about you. We--" The vocals distorted into a mix of robotic and demonic sounds. "--Don't care that you were right, and I came to remind you that, WE DONT CARE those freak clown and frog abstracted."
"GO AWAY!" Jax breathing grew labored and rushed as he jumped off the bed and crawled against his dresser. The banging amplified in his ears as his eyes blurred and his square pupils formed into a more complex shape then Gangle.
He looked at under the door and saw a black glob. His face paled as much as a purple cartoon rabbit's face could. His first instinct was to curled around himself and squeeze his eyes as tight as they could shut, creases forming. His lungs emptied themselves out into his dim room, the thumping on the door didn't cease nor pause. Infact; they grew louder, prouder, and more insistent, the weak doorknob jingled menacing with each thud.
"Jax!? Jax! Open the door please it's Pomni, I'm not mad about earlier! Please come out." The jester knocked softly on the door, not wanting to startle the already screaming Jax inside. She stared at the circular portrait on the brown door, hoping the owner of the face would snap out of whatever episode he was in.
