    “Woah!” Sonic skidded to a stop next to him, his brows immediately furrowing in concern. “Dude, did you just get shot?!”

    Shadow hissed in pain, already feeling the blood start to soak into his gloves. It was a rookie mistake, he was skilled enough to evade that bullet, but it was aimed right at Sonic and the stupid hero didn’t even notice. It was an impulsive decision, Shadow should’ve just let that idiot get shot.
