I opened the box, and inside it was a handful of seeds, bulbous and golden-brown, and suddenly it dawned on me, possibly, why Beloved loved this fruit so much. It had the same coloring as he did. “Apricot seeds, as you asked.”
Months after Aslevjal, Fitz and Beloved have settled down to recover in their cabin near Tradeford. Knowing his fondness for the fruit, Fitz discovers a way for Beloved to have apricots whenever he wanted.
