Jeno slowly spun around to see the wide smile of Na Jaemin, the hockey phenom that the country had hitched their wagon to. Twenty-two years old, he had competed in the Youth Olympics as a speed skater and within a year of putting a stick in his hands there was talk of him going to Canada or Russia to play with the big boys.
“Oh. Thanks. My name is Jeno, nice to meet you.”
“We’ve met.”Jeno flashed as best he could through the people he’d met at the gym or on TV programs but couldn’t recall a prior interaction. He just knows who Jaemin is because it’s part of the job.
“Oh my god you have no idea, do you? Is that more embarrassing for you or for me?”
Jeno’s ears must have been completely flushed because Jaemin rubbed the top of one with a laugh."
