Summary
They were alike in so many ways. They were both committed to living their truth, even if the realization of what that meant came a little later than either of them wanted. Maybe both of them could benefit from having a bit more of a filter sometimes; it would keep them out of trouble. Both knew how to help others before helping themselves, offering too much of themselves and putting up a strong front so no one would know that they also needed someone to cling to.
Kyo needed someone like Yuchi: shameless in his squishier, more emotional parts, the type to burst into tears as he watched a sad movie, the kind to tell his friends they were his soul mates and cry over the love he spread so easily but never thinly among them. He needed someone sweet, someone sincere and honest, someone who let the emotions Kyo was feeling deep inside himself out into the world so Kyo could follow with his own.
