Chapter Text
It’s dark. You don’t know what kind of darkness, or how long it’s been dark. But you feel like you’ve been here for eternity, it feels… comfortable, you like it here, just… existing, in the darkness. It feels cold, but not a freezing cold, it’s more like a refreshing cold, almost like a gust of wind on a hot day. After floating in the darkness, you actually feel something. You feel the beginning, the beginning of something. A physical body? You feel yourself being torn away from the darkness, and brought into the light. A new introduction, a fresh start.
You’re awake. You feel the air on your exposed flesh. As you open your brand new eyes you don’t see anything but the light, your eyes slowly adjusting to this introduction of a new life. A figure steps into your peripheral vision, coming closer, investigating you. It makes eye contact with you and you see its bright yellow eyes searching into yours, looking for something that isn’t there yet. It helps you sit up from the table you're laying on and your eyes finally begin to work how they should. You finally see the figure, its blonde hair, golden eyes, and blood stained smile. It brings you comfort, seeing this creature in such a joyful state, as if you're connected to it somehow, mentally or spiritually. It speaks to you, "Laura... I can't believe that it worked". You open your mouth to attempt to reply and awaken your vocal chords, but it seems as if it's not ready yet when all that comes out is a groan. The blonde creature chuckles, “It’s okay, draga, you’ll relearn to use your voice soon” It comforts you by rubbing your back while you sit, continuing to stare, its golden eyes gleaming into yours. You could sit here forever, in the comfort of this mysterious, yet comfortable creature. “We should go up to the castle, I can't wait for you to meet my family once again” The creature whispers into your ear, then picks you up like a bride being walked into her honeymoon.
The two of you walk through a dark dungeon, with what looks like cages and cells all around. You finally walk up a long staircase leading into a small kitchen, then into the large main hall. The warm lighting from the fireplace and massive chandelier fills you with a nice calmness, like you’re home. You continue walking up another huge staircase, and into a room with a large bed, many bookshelves scattered around the walls, and an enormous fireplace. You get put down on the bed and are immediately engulfed in the softness of it. The creature lays beside you, observing your facial features. “I assume that you must not remember much from before your rebirth. I’m Bela, we used to be… partners, until you were killed by some filthy man-thing” Bela… a beautiful name, you think. She places her hand on your cheek, her hands are cold, contrasting with the heat from the fireplace. “I’m so glad your back, and now, we can fulfill our lives together for eternity” The two of you fall asleep, once again in the hands of one another.
